Despite the controversial topics like Gintama Rezero steins gate and monogatari, pretty decent list man keep it up
The 4 anime you just mentioned are all "not for everyone" anime
It just happen that he was one of the people that it wasn't for him
Gintama's comedy and pacing isn't for everyone
Stein's gate story and pacing is also not for everyone
The settings for re zero are also not for everyone
And everything about the monogatari series is not for everyone

I agree mushishi is perfect before go to bed but the problem is that the opening can sometimes make you fall asleep even before the episode start (personnal experience)

When he asked me in the beginning (ep ~30) if it would stay as good as it has been, I told him that it only gets better and most people don't like the first ~50 episodes that much, He couldn't believe it!

Gintama is a 10/10 anime for me
Everything is there; great story behind all the hilarious episodes; badass characters, emotional stories, great characters with original pasts, and everything is coherent with the universe, no cheat code during fights
And yeah, Gintama is my favorite anime

I would give re:zero a 7 in my opinion, it isnt for everyone but it does have a good story, but it can be boring with some context episodes, but it does have tear jerker moments, i enjoyed seeing subaru overcome his problems without cliche fight scenes and seeing him grow as a person with good character development. Also the OSTs are absolutely amazing.

Well, I'm sad for Re:zero because is really breaking everything in this last period with Jujutsu Kaisen, AOT and some others. But I can understand, it's really hard to follow it so no regrets :D
You can really see the difference in opinions when you watch this, I feel the same way for some and not for others. Anyway everyone has their own tastes. Good video nonetheless 👍 Btw I’m totally the same boat as you when you said Re:Zero is not for you. Like for some reason Re:Zero just doesn’t get to me too. Hope the Re:Zero fans understand your opinion.

2:11 Arslan Senki is an old light novel series, so it was one of the series that defined what is a classic in its genre
2:40 how can it be a good mystery anime without good surprises?
9:50 again and again you show me that you have some of the best anime tasted I've seen
10:30 It honestly had a lot of holes and weird stuff for the sake of being weird (like most of the director's works), but I enjoyed the crap out of it
13:58 I was highly disappointed with this one, they literally could have made it a 1000 times better but got satisfied with a cliché fantasy world and characters

Im new to anime so these are the animes i've seen and decided to give my thoughts on (my opinion):
- Attack on Titan: My first anime ever, intense, hype and epic moments, iconic and memorable music, one of the best worldbuilding i've seen in any storytelling medium, excellent animation (S4 is kinda dropped but i understand why, they don't have that much time), Humane characters, good ambiance of horror/survival/action feels in S1-S3 and excellent political thriller/action feels in S4, one of my favorite storytelling in every medium, easily my top 5 so far. (9.5/10)
- Neon Genesis Evangelion: Classic, one of Mech anime pioneer, good animation (especially frame composition and conveying motions), feels psychological in some absurd ways, people tend to overrate it (which happens a lot) or say it is trash (which it is totally not), (8/10)
- Death Note: Smart plot and stories, excellent character chemistries, most characters are also excellent, the first half is near perfect but not the second half which is although big downgrade, still cannot make the anime bad (8.75)
- Violet Evergarden: This one is a bit different, so hold on for a sec. Georgeous animation, wonderful world building, excellent ambiance of a victorian era setting, *extremely* emotional, excellent storywriting, memorable and generally iconic music, and characters are emotionally wonderful too, easily my top 5 my favorite storytelling medium so far (alongside AoT)
Here's the weird part, Violet Evergarden is very niche and i understand that it's not for everybody. Violet Evergarden does have a bit of everything for everyone, but i can get why some people say that it's boring or slow or at least won't enjoy it as much as i did. However, this show feels absurdly personal to me and i don't even know why, maybe it reminds me of sonething personal? Perhaps it inflicts some kind of emotion that i don't know? Why does it feel really ethereal and dream-like? I am not entirely sure, but i fell in love with this show. And for that i have to give this show a (10/10)

Steins;Gate: Excellent sci fi thriller, well done characters, complicated but smart plot, and has done a great job in setting the rules of the universe (how the time travel works). The first 10 eps are a bit dragged, they couldve done it woth just 7 eps or so, but the rest are great (8.5)
The Promised Neverland: It started out incredibly in S1, did an excellent job in establishing smart children characters (they don't act too adult-like, but also not stupid children neither). Great antagonist, Isabella is one of my fav character. Everything falls apart in s2 where everything feels very rushed, i don't read the manga but i can bet they skipped many parts of it here. I'll give it 2 different score, for S1 (8.75) and S2 (4.0)

And about recommendations, i don't have many, but im going through MHA and Cowboy Bebop rn and im loving them, also probably Ghibli Movies like Howl's Moving Castle and Princess Mononoke are really good

It's a good list in some cases for me but I feel that some anime's could be ranked higher or lower. I won't question it cuz it is your personal opinion.
I love your stuff and generally agree and I'm definitely gonna watch the anime you like but I'm gonna be honest I had a reflexive reaction when I saw Sword Art Online spoken of in a remotely positive light and Steins;Gate being called overated, and honestly most of my hate for sword art online is from hindsight and hopping on the bandwagon but I felt my bpm rise I didn't know I cared this much damn.
