When I heard this cover, I knew Chris Stapleton's southern rock stylings would play well with this. Perfect for a moment of self-reflection while riding your motorcycle on an empty highway. Would have been a perfect Sons of Anarchy needle drop had this been recorded years earlier.
Lost my shit when I listened to this, fkng amazing rendition. Feel like I need to drink a shit load of bourbon when I put this track on. Would love to see Jame and Chris sing this live one day.
I am so not a Metallica fan. I love my country music and classic rock. However, I do know two Metallica songs and I love them! This, fortunately for me is one of them! I love your reaction and how you get into it. I agree with you sweetie! No one can touch this song except Chris Stapleton!!!!!
If you like MetallicA (softer stuff) & Chris Stapleton, please check out The Jompson Brothers. They were a band Chris wrote & sang lead for. Only 1 album but it's Chris's rock side & this reminds me of that. Awesome cover
Ah man, @7:25 you totally missed a golden opportunity to say ‘…if you’re having a bad day, just listen to this and then… nothing else matters.’ Jk, my dude. Great reaction, great energy 🫡
He could do a 007 opening song. This song with a video like the one that goes with this song would be a great classic western open…I can see the lone horsemen riding across the plain.
Jesus fucking christ this is good. The thing i love about chris is he is showing everyone how country music should sound. Not the cookie cutter crap coming out of cmc these days
@@mattriffmaster its just so frustrating to think that most people will never know how great that genre could be because they have to digest the shit that record companies say country music should be. John 5 explains it well in an interview about the things he learned from his days being in a country band and the techniques you just dont see in most modern country anymore
Love Jason Isbell & the 400 Unit. But, we are all allowed to have an opinion, & I think he just country-fied SBT too much. Good cover but could've been done better
I am by no means a fan of modern country. I think it was killed in the late 70s into the 80s by groups who traded country roots for bubble gum pop. I.e. Alabama and the like, but Chris is a beast. Found out I have COVID today and this brought me a little joy.
I HATE country music. But lawd above this got my beard down to my chest and made me an oldschool country music fan. Gimme a bible and a beer right now.
Don't be afraid. Just put on some Chris. And please check out Whiskey Myers, Koe Wetzel, The Josh Abbott Band, Prophets and Outlaws, Cross Canadian Ragweed (no longer together), & CCR's former lead singer, Cody Canada & The Departed. Their all Texas Red Dirt country. Really like southern rock from back in the day but way better than the crap they play on country radio
@@ryansalmons5279 oh yeah man. I know most of those, you’ve given me some to check out though. I especially love me some CCR and Cody Canada haha. Turnpike troubadours, Sturgill Simpson and Tyler Childers are also favorites of mine. Cool name btw. I’m a Ryan also
@@DrShrimpPuertoRicoMD yeah Ryan is a pretty badass name. Oh & since you've heard of some of them maybe youve heard of some of these too. Cody Jinks, The Steeldrivers, Matt Mason, Read Southall Band, Drive-By Truckers. Blackberry Smoke, Josh Weathers, Bones Owens, Randy Rogers Band, William Clark Green. I could name more but there's some for you to check out if you haven't heard of them yet. Have fun!
Dude I thought the same thing...totally different level. Best metallica cover that ever was and will be. Just amazing
Legendary cover

I reckon Hetfield loves this. As he is a huge country fan 🤘🏻

Goosebumps on this song

I love this so hard.
Awesome cover!
Maybe the best that I heard!
I love his cries at the end.
Oh yea!! Me too!
Outlaw country !
Great song and your reaction
I saw him in concert. I had hoped he would do this one, but nope. Still so much freaking fun.
I’d love to see him! He’s amazing
Am I wrong to think of this version as Outlaw Country/Blues?
It’s so outlaw ! Really Sons Of Anarchy shit !

Just like Volbeat, man made this song his own🔥🤘
Isn't there a Cory Taylor one to check our?
Country Blues guitar lead and rhythm (I assume Chris did both, as he did with backing vocals) was hypnotic.
Yeahhh!
Just subscribed 👍
Keep it up bro🤘🤘🔥

I bet you listen to that one a couple times more .
I’m always afraid to tell people I like country music too, due to the absolute trash that the radio plays.
This. This is what I mean.

I'm a big Metallica fan but i like it better than the original. The vocal harmonies are dope, the guitar parts are sick...
* mic drop
Everyone reacts to Chris Stapleton's cover of Nothing Else Matters, but I actually like Darius Rucker's even better.
Suena a Stoner rock, doom clasico.
I bet you listen to this more than once. Others have done a decent job of this . I don't think any of them compare to Chris's.
Oh yes! Chris is on top with this
Dude should know a lyric or two.....just sayin.
It’s times like this I wish I had another thumb so I could give this three 👎🏻 👎🏻👎🏻
this to me doesn't sound country....bluesy rock...good stuff
This was a big no for me and my daughter who is a CS fan didn’t like it either. I don’t know, just couldn’t get into it.
