A lot of people are talking about how this is aiming for East Asian markets, but you're forgetting Europe it's also a great market for this (we usually are more conservative in our daily makeup). The typical brown/nude eyeshadows and bronzers you love so much look really Yellowish in people like me, and most of the times what you consider natural/nude, it's not natural at all in us cool toned. As for the blushes, they already have in the same formula really pigment and intense blushes, so it's really good to finally see something more natural for our daily use, specially something that isn't the typical pink and salmon that every brand has (and that looks really unnatural in us). I wish people would understand that aiming for a fair cool toned skin is actually aiming for something that is not really usual in the market, and it was something that was missing in their collection. Yes it's not for everyone, but sincerely neither are the other collections. Every brand has launched Barbie pink blushes this year, and definitely that's not a colour that fits everyone. If it wasn't a problem with that type of collection, why is it with this one? I really don't understand the community... Does every launch need to fit every person? People like me usually can't find anything that's aimed at us, it's really great to finally see something new and different (and no, cool pink isn't a nude, this collection is what a true nude is to us).
Amen sista! Preach! There hasn't been any collection for us fair cool toned ppl so yesssss. I'm loving this. And as you said they already had very pigmented and deep colors from their very last collection so as you said we often get forgotten and this collection is a hit! I'm so sick of having to use crazy pigmented blushes as I look like a clown and most ppl's bronzers are way to orange/yellow/dark so I am with ya. This is the first collection that is made for us, yay 🙌 😊
I LOVE that the colors are so understated. I think that IS a bold choice in the market, I feel like everything is so mid-toned, as long as not every collection winds up so pale. That SHIMMER is INSANE!
I really like soft barely there blush, looks more elegant. Also, those tones you want to use as bronzers are my go type of blush colours, they look so nice and allow the eyes and lips to get all the attention
I ordered the entire collection because I love their eyeshadows and they already have several colorful palettes and colorful blushes. I think so many people are complaining about this collection but more neutral makeup is in now and pale blushes are the k beauty style. The look you created was beautiful and maybe the next collection will be colorful. They do have an amazing formula
yes, the blushes are very pale but there is definitely a market for them and i dont think everything should be very bold and out there and kaleidos is an asian brand as for the eyeshadow palettes i dont mind them being similar because here we bave pat mcgrath that releases 3-4 of the same shades with maybe a slightly different undertones and people still eat it up every time and as an owner of most of big mothership palettes and a few of the smaller PML palettes i dont think the special shades make up for it
100% If this were a brand new formula and they released a dozen new shades and all of them were very light, then maybe I'd have understood the raised eyebrows. But it's 4 additional blushes in an existing line...and there are loads of people who love subtle makeup not only in Asia, but also Europe. Can't tell you how tired I am of super saturated blushes...
Those blushes are lovely, they are definitely following a popular East Asain trend of brightening the face with the blush. Also they'll be perfect for fair desaturated skin tones.
I ordered the Venus Trap quad & lip glaze in Free Fall! After watching you use these products, I’m extremely excited to receive these!! I think they are catering to a diff market, which is definitely ok by me 😊
Both blushes looked very beautiful on you, they look very natural. I am just a tad bit more tan that you and I honestly like all 4 colors as I am not a fan of pigmented bright blushes. And...I like that over the last decade the makeup world has become more inclusive, it was badly needed. But I think some expectations are at this point...bizzare. I agree that ethical brands should have inclusive product ranges, and I agree that brands should have inclusion in mind when launching new individual product lines, but I don't see why every single release in an existing line needs to cater to every single audience. Kaleidos has an existing blush range that goes pretty deep, I don't see why they should not just fill their range with lighter shades in this particular release. If they released 4 very deep blushes that were not for me, I would not feel in any way slighted, or upset, or confused since the brand would not be discontinuing all the other options I have... I mean, it's fair for reviewers to say they don't like the new colors, or they find them dull, or boring...but I find it a bit grating how the discourse is shifting towards saying the choice of colors was somehow a slight against anyone. Maybe you are right and they are pivoting full force towards the Asian market, what is wrong with that? Why does everything have to be catered to US demographics? Your take was, I think, fair, the outrage I have seen over this release just seems soooo overly dramatic.
As a global brand I think making shades for different skin tones is a must. Regardless of region if you want to call yourself a global brand for everyone then there needs to be everyone in mind. Sure there’s different makeup styles then why not make shades so others can do those makeup styles
This is a collection made for cool toned, very fair/fair people, and I'm not mad about it! Personally, dark, warm tones aren't nice on me, I've tried, but it just looks wrong. The face products are lighter than I'd buy, however they'd look fine, and appear to be buildable. Also, gimme all those lips! It's too bad that those who were looking forward to this collection find it won't suit them. However, there have literally been years [in a row] in which warm tones, especially in eyeshadow palettes, were all that was released! So pale faced girl is pretty happy.
This is the first collection I've ever passed on. Which is fine, I'm not mad about it. That's what's so great about makeup, there's something for everyone. While I'm bummed a little because I collect the brand, it's good they're trying to bring something for everyone.
Such a nice and beautiful collection But i just have question if its not rude or seems bad to ask:so basically they said asians are yellow toned ppl ik there is variety everywhere but my question is that that why most of their products are for pink and cool under tone?doesnt yellow means warm undertone?its just a question i dont know
Even only in China there is a wide range of skin undertone, peachy /olive/blue pink/bronze, although they are called yellow by western world(also calling Asian yellow is actually a propaganda to alienate Asian people). I have neutral(yellow pink)skin but all the people on my mom side actually have yellow blue skin tone. And there’s a lot of olive skin people got left out in the past. And purple pink works perfect for them. And y2k trend is back, back in the day blue and purple eyeshadow were huge. I believe this collection color choice is choose to match with those 2 trend.
I'm passing on everything. The glosses are definitely the best products in this collection but I don't actually need any. The packaging is confusing (to me), I assumed the quads would be heavily pink and maroon/purple and was looking forward to those colours. When you revealed the palettes was kinda disappointed. I appreciate that you always speak your truth in every single vid. RESPECT 👍👍👍 Much love, 💜💗💜💗💜💗💜
Definitely want to try the lip glazes but everything else is a no. I love Kaleidos eye shadow, the blushes from first release and the contour palette but now it's time for a bigger eyeshadow palette 😊
I love how the same people poo pooing this collection will see the same pink bronze palette from Pat McGrath for the 6th year in a row and be all excited.
Beautiful look created but those blushes- what were they thinking??😂 I am a light skin tone w neutral ish undertones and doubtful these would show up on me!
What an unusual launch. The colors don’t make sense. Now, you can make anything look good. But, it’s a hard pass for me. If they are appealing to the Asian market, that’s great. They have had bolder launches in the past. Maybe the next launch will be more inclusive.
They didn’t look like blush. They look more like face powders. To set your makeup. I don’t know who they would show up on? I’m very very naturally fair. Even on my skin they wouldn’t work. I think they forgot to put the pigment in???????
@@daniellesebire2508 I believe me I’m as pale as they come. That’s just fake tan 😂. I actually struggle to find a concealer and foundation for my skin colour or tone. I’m not even that pretty pale. I just look sick.

Exactly! You were confused but they are very pretty
I actually agree 100% on this, I don’t like the exaggerated blush that’s in fashion, sometimes less is more and it just looks classier overall

In East Asia, that blush is used like a highlighting powder base. After using that, people apply a normal blush (which is more pigmented).

Kaleidos is a Chinese brand, so the color selection for the blushes makes sense. Not everything has to fit the American skin tone range, imo.
