LoomofDreams i think it would look nice back on the original wall but turned the other way. It wouldn’t cover the window, or at least it doesn’t look like it would to me.
The bed should have gone against the back wall, and should have added sheer drapes, and lots of them, to make it a day bed and had the ‘living area’ in front
I would love it even more if the bed drapes are a little bit well made. I feel like it was just a quick fix to be able to look presentable and more fitted for a literal dorm room. But since it's her home, I feel that it should be atleast sewed well. I also don't fancy the white side table. It feels so much modern than all the other furnitures. It definitely did not have a boho vibes. But overall, it's a lot better than her previous set up. 🙂
I agree with you about the curtains around the bed. A bit more refined sewing would not have been out of place. I do still like the room transformation 👍

If they had spray painted the white table and replaced the glass with that cane weaving material that Becky redid her t.v. stand with, it would've looked amazing!
Love the aesthetic but I have so many questions. I really would have loved to see more of her own photos on the walls, so nice to have pics of friends and family if you're moving away from home to a dorm (obviously she's not moving away but this is supposed to be a dorm makeover). generally like everything the girls do, however somehow this one felt a bit off... colours clashed and felt a bit on the cheap side. but for a makeover with no budget it's definitely an improvement!
I think the shade of white walls didn't suit the California modern/boho mission vibe they were going for as well - a creamier tone or maybe more brown/orange would have tied it together better. There's no attention to detail also - like the rough cut on the top of the cheap fabric ties?
I agree too felt like they threw a lot of things together and hoped for the best . Especially that fabric around the bed looks so tacky. That's a beautiful bed and they messed it up with the cheap fabric
They could have kept the bed in the centre, the shelve on one side and the bed side table on the other. And could have simply created the living area nook where they placed the shelve. But have been a better layout and less cluttered. This looks like a complete mess
This felt weird and awkward. They seemed to dislike the choices they made but could do nothing about them now so had to act like they liked them. Like the linen around the bed, the placement of the bed, how much the light dropped down. They looked very uncomfortable in this video. This is the first time I feel not so excited about a room makeover.
I had a chair almost like that. I rocked my babies in it and now my grandchildren and great grandchildren and its still in the family. Its over 50 years old. I fid it in a teal cushion
Yeah I’m thinking the bed against the back wall would’ve opened up the room more. The entrance feels a lil bit cramped. I love all the details and thrifty finds nonetheless!
I think if they didn't put it there, it wouldn't allow them to make more space for the "living room" area. Like where else were they gonna put the chair and 2 tables? The curtains on the bed also kind of give her some privacy when she sleeps. Overall I think the placement was practical for what they had to work with.
I just can’t get past feeling like the bed should have been staged against the back wall of the room. Unless they measured and new it couldn’t fit that way ahead of time. Then never mind. Lol.
I fully agree! My bed was positioned like that when I was younger, and it made the room really cramped. Nothing worse than entering a room and having to maneuver around the bed.
Hi from Germany! I would love to see u two redoing an odd classroom. Maybe I can get inspiration for my own one, since I became a teacher. Thanks for the great videos by the way! :)
Unihuahua Right! Reminds me of Golden Girls... I use to have A papason chair looks like a satellite dish super comfy... great job boho yet minimalist 💕
Yep, I thought that was odd. I have a mid century modern set that my Grandma bought before I was born. I’ve had it for 30+ years. Quality all wood furniture is timeless. I’d suggest painting her sidetable instead of taking it out.
@@ShweMyaukMyauk imagine shaming people for what they want their space to look like. Also a good interior designer decorates according to their client's aesthetics, regardless of their own choices.

Love the look! I personally would move the easel more in front of the window. Just cause it looks like it's blocking the door/closet. Also, put the color shelves on the wall closer to the easel.
This turned out super cute!! A missed opportunity for some cozy and vibey string/fairy lights for the bed frame though, but love this makeover regardless! 💕
I would love to see you guys do something really different. In one of your videos a while back on wedding centerpieces, one of the options was this pretty vintage option that had different layers and textures and I loveeee that! It would be so cool to see you guys try something new with maybe a vintage, not at all minimalist kind of vibe! (Obviously that requires finding someone with the same vision for their space, just food for thought)
right!! i feel like almost every design youtuber is obsessed with minimalism or boho or whatever but give me modern victorian, french chic that isn’t kitschy, maximalism, etc it’s so boring seeing the same thing over and over again
I don’t like it. :( After initial hesitation, I did warm to the new layout, but the rest of the organization and styling doesn’t work for me. It doesn’t feel boho or minimal enough, it isn’t overly functional, it’s just so haphazard, like I went thrifting in my own house. The circle rug is too large, it doesn’t accentuate the separate living room area and kinda makes the other rug redundant. There’s literally no pattern, only huge blocks of solid colors even though boho offers so many relaxed and still minimal pattern options. It would have helped so much to tie the blocks of peach/white/green together (I personally would have gone for peach curtains too). The dated-looking coatrack as a side table looks neither aesthetic, nor functional to me as it holds barely anything (like a bedside light for instance) and is so wide that it intrudes into the living room area. But if that was going to be the choice, why not work with its being a coatrack and add little linen sachets onto the knobs for extra storage (people do keep tissues/vitamins/chargers/glasses/lip balms/earplugs/other random non-aesthetic objects around their bedside) or at least add a basket underneath for the same purpose and any source of light above? Then the wall decor. Mismatched paint bottles on display don’t look pretty and they are also a wall length away from the easel. Why not keep her tiny white wall shelves add tiny plants or tiny lights and create a boho gallery in the corner above the chair (or no shelves, just use her Polaroids or some string lights or anything that creates any level of ambiance). I’d bring the coffee table closer to the chair and have a school/reading nook, while creating an art station at the other end of the window with the easel and the paint bottles (in closed a storage basket underneath), a pretty jar with natural wood brushes on the window sill wouldn’t look bad to me either. The laptop stand is a great idea for a no-desk room, but the chair is so overwhelmed by the different surfaces all around (coffee table, laptop stand, bedside shelf). I would center the laptop stand under the window so that it might work as a laptop stand in one corner when needed, or a stand for paint supplies in the other corner when needed. The white cabinet styling feels messy rather than boho or minimal. And the mirror is begging for one of the white wall shelves (the other one could have exchanged the weird coatrack to make everything more intentional and cohesive) both aesthetically and functionally - as one would probably like to keep a little boho dish for bobby pins/hair clips and a pretty perfume bottle for a last spritz of their favorite scent there. Normally the Sorry Girls are so particular about coziness and vibes and none of that really happened in this room. I don’t know if it was a budget issue or too little thought went into it, but the room didn’t come together at all. Sorry about being a downer.
Why do people keep suggesting string lights? They just scream adolescent. I get that she is a college student but grown-ups don’t have string lights. I also think the point of these dorm makeovers is to show how redecorating can be accessible and not expensive. Which is why I think they thrifted almost everything or DIY-ed it themselves. I think that’s important for young people know that there are options outside of buying everything brand new. So yeah sometimes not everything looks super cohesive but she seems happy 🤷🏻♀️
I agree. Normally I love every makeover they post, but this one just does not have their usual quality. It's like they didn't have enough time or something and it ended up looking sloppy. The bed frame curtains are no good, the edges have fibres and therefore they look kinda ripped. The large white shelf would be beautiful with some spray paint as well as the white notebook table. White color and glass combined don't really have the boho vibe. I mean that space has a nice potential as well as the things they brought. But the whole makeover is just lacking some love. It's the kind of makeover you can do by yourself but you expect something better from designers...
I do wish they did more of a study/living room area and an art area, they could of been much more creative with the paint bottles and brushes and had a whole boho art moment in the corner!
I love these girls but this room kinda threw me off 😕 My first thought was, I assume the bed wouldn't fit vertically on the wall, with the feet to the window, cause that's what I would have done. And why not hang the bed drapes before moving it, it only made their jobs just a little bit harder. And why the rug on top of the rug? The one at the bottom can be barely seen.. And I am missing a tall ficus behind that awesome bamboo chair 🌿
I love how this episode feels so calm and relaxed..I mean they all do, but usually you two are more hyperactive and I love love love that.. but it is nice to se also other vibes.🍀🦭
Rotate the bed! Just face the feet toward the window. And if you put the Harry Potter books in order, it will give visual interest using staggered heights
Great job ladies! I love the bed I actually want that same look for my bed. One thing super Coachella and vibey is fairy lights on the top of the bed frame very cozy.
You capture such personal style and I love the upcycled finds. I am on the edge of retirement, newly single and downsized to a basement suite. I like how my lifetime of eclectic finds can be cohesive.
Omg, you girls, this has turned out amazing, like it so often does with you!! I m honestly not sure whether you simply just have excellent taste, or whether your taste just happens to match mine to a t, but either way, I couldn't love this more! You are just such a good team, designer wise! Thank you for putting out this content, it has been an absolute pleasure following you, for years now. Appreciation all the way from Germany :)
Becky is living that boho 70s. Reminding me of my fav show “That 70s Show” yes! Waiting for some iconic Jackie outfits! :P You both bring me so much joy and seeing you help students and bring vibey vibes to people makes me happy!
This is seriously my fave channel!! I love a good DIY!! y'all definitely inspired me to re-do my room!! i am hoping to put up a room refresh vlog soon, but until then i am loving watching your amazing DIYs!!
Loved the video but am I the only one that got "awkward" vibes? Kind of felt like I was watching my friends try to work on a project together after they just got in a huge fight. Hope all is well! Looking forward to more vids
I love u girls and this was amazing, but literally watching this on the phone had 7(!) sets of 2 ads each, which means 14 ads in total. Fourteen!! Lmao...
I’m seeing this more, too! Also on AG channel. Starting to think it’s more of a RUclips thing than the actual channel creators. I hope at least they’re the ones getting all the ad-revenue. But you’re right, it’s too much, it detracts from the consumer experience
Apparently RUclips is automatically putting extra ad's in all the videos now, creators have to turn it off on each video they post. And, it's a retroactive change as well, meaning they need to go through all their old vids individually and turn it off. :-/
I'm always so excited to see your finishing touches in all.your videos..and this makeover was awesome.. I wish to have you here in my dorm room to have a huge makeover......Love you lots..❤
I know its random but somehow Kelsey and I have been following the same hair journey for quite a few months and its kinda funny seeing her fringe grow out along with mine (the makeover is amazing too, guys)
I liked the way the colours all tied in with her paintings, and how cozy and functional that little corner is. You can have your laptop and a few things on the little tray table, and use the side table to hold snacks or books, anything to large or dangerous to keep right next to your tech (I've lost a good laptop to an ill placed cup of coffee and have *Regrets*) I think they made the right choice giving it a more adult look like she requested, rather than the gauzy curtains and twinkle lights that (while super popular) kinda give off more of that cute vibe than a more mature and minimalist kinda boho. And while i didn't think i was gonna like the placement of the bed (I would've gone lengthwise against the back wall at first), it really did make the space look bigger in the end Overall, great job, especially while dealing with the difficulties of the pandemic (though with the bonus of being able to do more than in a regular dorm makeover vid, like the lighting), looks great!
Yay, 2Mil!! You guys deserve another 2mil. This is what I would've wanted back in the 80's, but stuck with my mom's matching bdrm set, That was the thing. Kajal, is so sweet, loved this :))
@@kadesmith3707 yeah the soundtrack was waaaay too quiet over the shopping montage. way fewer jokes and snappy bits with the edit than usual so it just feels a bit weird to watch??
I would’ve flipped the bedroom door so it opens the other way, to the right (against the wall). I did this in a similar room and it opens up a lot more layout possibilities when you don’t have to worry about hitting the furniture every time you open the door. You can fit a door stop to prevent damage to the wall.

Yes can totally imagine a big boho plant behind there, that would really add a good layer
Being from the coachella valley myself I gotta say... YOU GUYS ABSOLUTELY NAILED IT
Surprisingly I watch almost every video in your room makeover playlist
I love it! The room looks soooo much better than before. For me you did everthing right with a very low budget.
Great job ladies! I love the bed I actually want that same look for my bed. One thing super Coachella and vibey is fairy lights on the top of the bed frame very cozy.
the music in the background sounded like the transition music from wizards of waverly place and i love it
Did you mean transition?
Mimi NewBean oops yes! thanks for catching that lol
You both look adorable. Love the change to the room!
I love all the hat tricks and double checks. You girls are the best team.
You capture such personal style and I love the upcycled finds. I am on the edge of retirement, newly single and downsized to a basement suite. I like how my lifetime of eclectic finds can be cohesive.
Dude I love your guys' relationship so wholesome
Love that the colour palette of the room makeover is inspired by her art pieces
Kelsey's outfits are always on point.
Oh I love the way you "makeover" the bed! The room turned out so cute🤗😍
This was just so perfect! I think I want a four poster now to add those linen curtains! Congratulations on 2 million!!! 🎉🥳👏🏽
I love Kelsey's top! And the canopy bed... *heart eyes*
Got so swamped with online teaching that I totally missed that 2 million milestone! Congrats to Team TSG!! You always make my day 😊
Y'all both so cute together... And you guys have a great work place and environment!!!
Super cute! I love how eclectic and cozy it is.
I love the colours in this room! Great idea to match them to the paintings x
A "Hacks" video with all the tips and tricks for hanging shelves and curtain rods and switching light fixtures etc. would be EPIC!!!!!!
Thanks Mia Maples for mentioning this channel. Love it!
Your channel is so empowering! I love your guys energy and ideas for design. Also, SWEEEEEt outfits y’all!
Becky is living that boho 70s. Reminding me of my fav show “That 70s Show” yes! Waiting for some iconic Jackie outfits! :P You both bring me so much joy and seeing you help students and bring vibey vibes to people makes me happy!
It’s dangerous watching your videos!!! Never fails, I want to redo a room every time. I’m running out of rooms!!! Love you ladies!!
Love the cushion / chair and the linen curtains on the four poster is sooo cute!!
I'm addicted to your renovation videos 😍😍😍
Her bed would be perfect for cottage-core, it is really beautifully made. Always cute outcome SG's
Glad to see how it seemed so her! Blessed and safe days!
You two make people into a plant-people, because you bring into every home a plant and I appreciate that. 🥰
Great job ladies. Looks super cozy.
Yes curtains for the bed 😍 I was basically screaming at the screen to ad some. So glad they did.
This is my favourite dorm room make over!! I love it!! Awesome thrift finds 😍
This is seriously my fave channel!! I love a good DIY!! y'all definitely inspired me to re-do my room!! i am hoping to put up a room refresh vlog soon, but until then i am loving watching your amazing DIYs!!
2 million! 🎉 Congratulations! You guys are amazing 😊👏
Loved the video but am I the only one that got "awkward" vibes? Kind of felt like I was watching my friends try to work on a project together after they just got in a huge fight. Hope all is well! Looking forward to more vids
I felt it too
Omg... Same! It feels a bit strange between them.. I don’t know..
Right?! I thought I was the only one getting this impression...
I always feel like that on all of their videos
Kiara Corpetti same
I love u girls and this was amazing, but literally watching this on the phone had 7(!) sets of 2 ads each, which means 14 ads in total. Fourteen!! Lmao...
I'm watching on my phone too and I only got three ads
I’m seeing this more, too! Also on AG channel. Starting to think it’s more of a RUclips thing than the actual channel creators. I hope at least they’re the ones getting all the ad-revenue. But you’re right, it’s too much, it detracts from the consumer experience
Apparently RUclips is automatically putting extra ad's in all the videos now, creators have to turn it off on each video they post. And, it's a retroactive change as well, meaning they need to go through all their old vids individually and turn it off. :-/
saaaame dude
I'm always so excited to see your finishing touches in all.your videos..and this makeover was awesome.. I wish to have you here in my dorm room to have a huge makeover......Love you lots..❤
I know its random but somehow Kelsey and I have been following the same hair journey for quite a few months and its kinda funny seeing her fringe grow out along with mine (the makeover is amazing too, guys)
They even make the advertisements relaxing
HAPPY 2 MILLION GUYS!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Love the thrifted boho vibe. You ladies always make me smile.
I liked the way the colours all tied in with her paintings, and how cozy and functional that little corner is. You can have your laptop and a few things on the little tray table, and use the side table to hold snacks or books, anything to large or dangerous to keep right next to your tech (I've lost a good laptop to an ill placed cup of coffee and have *Regrets*)
I think they made the right choice giving it a more adult look like she requested, rather than the gauzy curtains and twinkle lights that (while super popular) kinda give off more of that cute vibe than a more mature and minimalist kinda boho.
And while i didn't think i was gonna like the placement of the bed (I would've gone lengthwise against the back wall at first), it really did make the space look bigger in the end
Overall, great job, especially while dealing with the difficulties of the pandemic (though with the bonus of being able to do more than in a regular dorm makeover vid, like the lighting), looks great!
The room looks beautiful
Who else dropped everything they were doing to watch this video!?
Nope. Watched Mary Elizabeth first.
Yeah I’m supposed to be working lol
I was In class 😂
Patricia Leal lol same!🤣
Yay, 2Mil!! You guys deserve another 2mil. This is what I would've wanted back in the 80's, but stuck with my mom's matching bdrm set, That was the thing. Kajal, is so sweet, loved this :))
Your hair colour is looking gorgeous Becky! 😍❤️
I love it!!!! especially the paint displayed on the wall!!!
Love the cactus by the easel 😊 It is a beautiful makeover
something’s kinda off with the editing. the vibe is different. but not totally bad. shoutout to Justin and Nick.
Jussy Jay I agree it’s like the chemistry isn’t there like in the past.
I felt it too. Thought it was more chemistry than editing. Don't think dorm makeovers are their passion anymore.
i agree. the music and sound was also really off. like a lot of the time it was too loud. i wonder what happened. still a good edit though. :)
@@kadesmith3707 yeah the soundtrack was waaaay too quiet over the shopping montage. way fewer jokes and snappy bits with the edit than usual so it just feels a bit weird to watch??
They are the most realistic diy project done by You Tuber
This girl is so beautiful!
⛄️
Oh wow love the room makeover. It's fantastic
This turned out so beautiful!!
I would’ve flipped the bedroom door so it opens the other way, to the right (against the wall). I did this in a similar room and it opens up a lot more layout possibilities when you don’t have to worry about hitting the furniture every time you open the door. You can fit a door stop to prevent damage to the wall.
