Unrelated, but Samus seems to use the Chozo ability to see visions of the past. At the beginning of Metroid Prime 3, the scene with Dark Samus regenerating. Not only does the scene precede Samus waking up, but if you read that error message that Samus's ship prints on the screen, it mentions this: "life support anomaly detected Neurological readings indicate" And then it errors out, we see the events of Dark Samus waking up (which we know had to happen a good while before Samus dreaming), and then Samus wakes up. And since we know the Chozo have such an ability (either potential from their genetics or maybe just some kind of spiritual attainment), it seems like Samus is doing a similar thing there based on the mental anomaly the ship detected).
@@theLoreRaiderOG It's been theorized by a few others that one of the ways Samus shows her inheritance of the Chozo Future Sight is her Sensemove from Other M and the Melee Counter from Samus Returns and Dread, she's aware of attacks happening in advance and can dodge or counter them.
I figured this would be a surprise to many, don’t be surprised if I make follow up videos in the future. Was there anything that you though was particularly noteworthy?
@theLoreRaiderOG The gods of the metroid verse is definitely a topic that interest me, and one I hope they delve into more in the future. Maybe prime 4 will have something related to it.
@@gunslinger9786 Absolutely I’d love to see more when it comes to the Gods and the wider cosmology of Metroid, and if Prime 4 does give us new lore, expect to see it here my friend
The idea of gorea as a kind of “rogue failsafe” against errant civs certainly reminds me of the flood from halo being the evolved precursors…makes me reconsider the origin of the x parasite. Obviously heavy speculation, but the x parasite always seemed too OP to me to be natural…perhaps they’re like gorea?
Well Gorea and The Animus are not lifeforms, they’re cosmic entities. The X are heavily implied to be perfectly fine within their own ecosystem as we know that by Fusion they hadn’t completely exterminated the other inhabitants of SR388. Nor did they do so before the introduction of Metroids. They are absolutely OP but it seems SR388’s ecosystem was doing fine even with the X on the scene
I would consider them more of a highly invasive species. Like what LoreRaider said, they were fine by themselves. It was only when they had access to higher intelligence that some learned to be better. If I remember right, the flood was a type of hive mind.
Interesting and great video as always, I always wondered if samus is an incarnation of a god or some sort, and we know that there are gods out there in the Metroid universe since the chozo have their god of war
Indeed they do. Although it is ironic that we cannot necessarily trust if that god of war exists. For once I actually like how vague Metroid is on the God stuff
@@theLoreRaiderOG yeah hopefully they expand that, cause would be cool if they actually confirm those gods and add more, cause Phantoon exists and like, the fuk?
I am very curious to what you all will think! I worked very hard on this video so please enjoy
Samus really is built different.
Also 4:12, amazing chest ahead
I knew you’d appreciate the music choice my man

@@TheAccursedHunter01 I am aware. I mention it in all of my scaling Samus vids
dude you do Samus true justice.
Thank you my friend, I do hope you enjoyed
Can we all just give Ridley a pat on the back and tell him thanks for saving the universe?
Lol without him the galaxy would be without the chosen one. He really is a hero
Holy shit I never knew that. Theres alot to unpack from this, maybe a part 2 this is really interesting.

The champion of the Chozo
The Champion of the Galaxy even
Unfortunately, Samus always kills her enemies in every situation.😂
Samus has always been the Chozo One
Lol
You were the Chozo one! It was said that you would destroy the Metroids not join them!
@Emperor_Palpatine547 I mean, she's the only Metroid in the galaxy, let alone the universe, so no one has to worry about them anymore.
Very interesting and informing video, would love to see more
