As always have a great day!
The twist to zoom reminds me a lot of the convoy Z1 lol. It is a better light and not that much more expensive. The only disadvantage it has is that you need to take the battery out to recharge it as it does not have a built-in charging port.
Just found this on clearance at my local Lowe's for $7.47.
Do you like it?
@@moa8121 It's definitely bright and lightweight. The only thing I don't care for is having to press the button multiple times to turn it off.
I just purchased this and I'm quite pleased with it just because it's brighter than any flashlights I've ever had
Look at nitecore, Fenix, olight, Thrunite. They all blow this thing away and are much smaller. I carry a nitecore p23i everyday. Type c charging. 3000 lumens on turbo with a 470 meter throw
They truly havent seen ms18 or sofirn q8 plus or pro@HoodziHockey16
I bet it doesn't work anymore 😂
I just got mine in a few days ago but when I turned it on it's not white it's a violet blue color and i can not look at it but a few seconds, how do I fix this?
Thanks for the complete review and comparison 😀
The tack lights up ok but it don’t stay charged up long enough
can you substitute a regular battery
I Googled you right now because I'm at Walmart at the clearance rack and they're $21
Lol. That's awesome. Thanks for sharing.
I charge mine and if I don’t use it for about 1 week it’s not charged
thanks Jeff
Absolutely! Thanks for stopping by and commenting 👍
I like it cause it charges
Always like your reviews, quick question when you did time test did you have that on high setting? I don’t like the yellow ring on the outside.
Yes it was on high. Thanks for stopping by and commenting 👍
I bought one 3 month ago it's a decent flashlight to have around when lights go out or take it for camping is not bad maybe night fishing good to use at night and I use it in security at work as well not bad so far I didn't drop it or abuse it use it's in a pouch I bought it for on my belt but other then that it hold it's charge and Bright enough for all purpose flashlight
$19.99 at Walmart (in my area) as seen on TV section
Very cool. It's $30 at my local Walmart. Thanks for stopping by and commenting 👍
@@Jeffreviews4u your welcome
@@d.menace9256 👍
Thanks for the review Jeff, I saw the commercial for this and liked the product until I see that I have to toggle through 6 or 7 functions just to turn the damn thing off....
If this flash light had a simple on/off button, I would buy at least 2 of them....
The functions should be on a separate switch.....
But too many potentially good flach lights manufacturers now think they're doing us a favor by putting multiple functions onto a single button.,,,very annoying... !
Glad you brought up the difference between yours and the one they show on the TV commercial. WTF. LED light intensity can kinda fool you. At 1 hr into your test, the output may be only 1/2 as it was when fully charged. The current draw drops off as well. So, ya, it may run 4hrs, but gets weak. Akin to an old filament bulb turning a dim yellow. Good review though.
Yeah the pros are its rechargeable , it lasts 5+ hours but the previous tac light is magnetized and l like how you pull it out for that side light !!
I like that about the original as well. Thanks for stopping by and commenting 👍
Until the power goes out and you dont have a full charge or a way to charge it, thus rendering the light useless
@@michaelbell75
If someone has a car, truck, etc, you have an additional charging location. I also have a jump box so another way to charge. Redundancy.
@@michaelbell75 charge it up periodically so you won't have this problem especially if you know you may have bad weather.
Charging is better. I will buy that one.
That's my favorite part! Thanks for stopping by and commenting 👍
at that price point id much rather get a thrunite or sofirn at least they put the spec sheets up with runtimes and brightness outputs
Mine only worked for 2 weeks now won't take a charge
That stinks. Hopefully you can exchange it. Thanks for stopping by and commenting 👍
I hyave one of these Tac Lights, but not sure which one. It has a short USB cord,. but it won't plug into it. I'm not sure if I misplaced it, or if it has a proprietary charger port. but it looks like a USB type-C port, but it won't fit inside of it.
Does any know if it is a standard charge port or not?
I am without power here in Houston Texas and although I have the Everstart Spotlight that I bought at Walmart this particular Tac light is smaller and just as bright, however I ran into the same issue when I left the cord that came with the actual flashlight at work. It seems to me that that particular cord only works with that flashlight I've tried four or five different ones that I have at home and none of them fit, so just make sure that it's the actual first chord that you used that came with it.
Thank you! After doing some research I decided to order the Taclight Max from Amazon but was having some doubts. Your video helped ease my mind so we'll see how it works tomorrow.
Very cool, let us know what you think. Thanks for stopping by and commenting 👍
I saw the commercial and when the big truck ran over the taclight Max it didn't run over the front part of the light because if did it would have broke so that's false advertising
Thanks for your service Nick. Oh wait you never did serve. Just dress that way to make it look like you did.
Taclight MAX. It totally makes the original Taclight obsolete. It also replaces Monster Size Taclight.
I agree. The rechargeable battery is a game changer. Thanks for stopping by and commenting 👍
Try running over it and I bet you will change your mind
Good review JR4u. Always great to get your opinions and real life use . I am a retired semi trucker but work part time at a store that has a "as seen on TV" area. I would bet as this model sells more prices will come down a bit. All items that are rechargeable seem to have that higher price. Paying for the tech? Keep up the great work! You are my #1 trusted reviewer!
Hey jeff, thanks for all the hard work put into the videos man, i have saved hundreds of dollars thanks to this reviews, a lot of useful stuff i have bough because of this, as well as stuff i have avoided.
Happy to help! Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment 🙂 👍
Imagine the weight of your 4 wheeler weighing the approx 10,000 pounds in the Taclight video.
It would have crushed the light..
As seen on tv, the tread is aligned so the light is between the treads.
Not dead center as the video shows cheap 99 cent store plastic lights, as compared to a METAL one, that's RIGGED not to break....
Its borderline false advertisement..
Saying it’s borderline false advertising is like saying there’s no crisis of illegal immigrants at the southern border . LoL 😂
Thanks Jeff for another great review. I don't think I will be buying this unless I can find it for around 20 bucks. 30 is a little too much in my opinion.
I agree. $30 is a bit expensive. Thanks for stopping by and commenting 👍
One thing they won't tell you on the ad or on the web page is how many lumens. Ill stick to my Nebo.
It's a 500 lumens flashlight, i just purchased one and it's incredibly bright.
@@josephbennett3482 My Nebo torchy is much brighter.
you have to hit the button 4 times to turn it off?? That's dumb. At the least I would expect an instance off when holding button in. How many charges do you get before it doesn't hold a charge anymore? Overall good video except for the radio announcer voice inflections. Please just talk like you are talking to a person.
I agree, turning it off was annoying. I'm still using the flashlight. We'll see how long it lasts. Thanks for stopping by and commenting 👍
With the rechargeable battery, the max will pay for itself plus lower battery disposal. More green for AOC, lol
Has anyone had a problem inserting the USB charging cable on the TACLIGHT MAX
I have
Use a better quality battery.
You're right, there are better batteries out there. Thanks for stopping by and commenting 👍
I don't want a flashlight that you have to recharge. I'd rather have a battery flashlight!
I mean I guess if you are looking for a low cost flashlight which $40 is nothing it's OK but this light is advertised as being like the most powerful flashlight on the market there's nothing out there like it when in fact it is not even close I'm willing to bet my everyday carry flashlights is more powerful than that by a lot but I spent $120 on it if anybody is willing to throw down the money there are much much more powerful flashlights than that thing by a long shot
got a excell for 12 bucks does tons better. just sayin
Thanks for the tip!
You think they put a big magnifying glass to compensate for the tiny l.e.d. that cost .05 cents made in China? Looks like an Atari joy stick.
Dad, what is an Atari joy stick?
Son, nevermind.
Lol. I loved atari. Thanks for stopping by and commenting 🕹
The Taclight Max is an overhyped and likely low-quality flashlight advertised with exaggerated claims, while Maglite offers more reputable and well-regarded rechargeable LED flashlight options.
Between the 2 I'd go with Maglite. Thanks for stopping by and commenting 🙂
Bell and Howell three light camping lanterns lifetime replacement warranty after you pay to ship it back to them and send them a check for $995 they'll replace the one broken lantern that cost you three of them for $12.99 so their warranties are a complete joke it cost you more to send it back than what you paid for the lantern
These are gimmicky cheap lights. Check out nitecore, fenix, olight, Thrunite. They are much brighter and much smaller. I carry a nitecore p23i everyday. Type c charging, 3000 lumens and a 470 meter throw.
You are lying to your customers when you show your customers the truck drive over the tac light max. The way u have the flash light u can see the tire never touchs the flash light. It's sad to see u need to lie to the people just to sell a flash light. Go back and re do it and this time really drive on your light.
This all fake.If you look close when truck run over tac light, it's in the back of light, and not the light part.😮
Meh junk imo, much better options out there
Lol. I agree, but compared to the original, I think it's much better. Thanks for stopping by and commenting 👍
@@Jeffreviews4u Taclight MAX. It totally makes the original Taclight obsolete. It also replaces Monster Size Taclight.
If they lower the price it's s decent 18650 light it just needs a higher capacity cell
About twice as bright but not 50x brighter; and if an EMP hits, the charging requirement makes this useless to me.
Keep it charged up especially when u know bad weather is coming.
@@jamesfiero3255 And after that charge is gone ... i don't have solar power or any means to recharge. However, I do have tons of batteries.
Nice to see a review on a light by sight and not by measuring lumens or advertised milliampere testing for battery. Unlucky, seems like a sellers ploy from a drop shipper and nothing more. Disliked and disappointed.
How much did they pay you to gush over this junk?
Lol. Sorry to disappoint you, they don't pay me anything. Ha. Thanks for stopping by and commenting 👍
These are not bright at all.
I agree, but for $20 it's OK. Thanks for stopping by and commenting 🙂
