OK BUT BLUE SCORE 002 HAD ME CRYING IN THE CLUB WHY IS IT SUCH A BEAUTIFUL MASTERPIECE!! ITS SOMETHING THAT WOULD PLAY IN A HEARTBREAKING SCENE OF AN ARTISTIC MOVIE
massive wall of text warning: if you're wondering why these songs were released please at least read the last paragraph. hey guys, as someone who has been making music for many years i can guarantee that this is not new stuff. these are 100% demos from 2011, as some of these songs can be heard in their web series they uploaded on youtube back then. they also are produced very differently from the material on trench and are much closer to the production style of RaB/Self Titled, which only adds further proof to the likelihood of these songs being created around then. think of these songs as unfinished drawings in a sketchbook. any musician who writes their own material is certain to have loads of unfinished or unreleased stuff, it's just part of the music writing process. it wouldn't make sense to release these songs as a singles or full album tracks because they're demos that tyler and josh have artistically progressed past, but they also recognize the demand for these songs (i've been a fan for 6 years, it's great to finally hear theses songs in full and get some new stuff from around that era!) so, in order to please the fans without releasing them officially, they packaged them as part of a reward for the first 500 people who completed code 20. however, it is interesting that we are getting "new" songs from an era that will be turning 10 years old this upcoming july. i would speculate the release of these songs means that tyler has been digging around material for a possible rerelease/remaster of regional at best next year one thing we should NOT be speculating on though is tyler's mental health and well being. i understand that his songs and his work might mean a lot to you. i could even go as far as to say that his songs have saved my life, BUT everyone needs to remember that tyler is a human being with a life. speculating whether or not he relapsed or not is: #1 it takes something as serious as tyler's mental health and turns it into some sort of mystery that the fans need to figure out. it's not a mystery. it's tyler's personal life. as someone who has been struggling with various diagnosed mental illnesses since my early teens i can tell you that it would honestly only make it worse if people started making theories out of how i was trying to live my life. if anything, i would bet that tyler is doing much better than he was 10 years ago. i'm not saying that his fame and success have made his problems disappear, nothing will ever make mental illness go away; the only thing you can do to combat mental illness is to learn to live with it. i'm saying tyler has probably grown enough as a human being to learn to live with his mental illness. now i know that may sound very scary and probably doesn't make sense to a lot of younger fans, but please take this from someone who's made it to the other side. it gets better. it doesn't go away, but it gets easier to deal with. so please stop making theories of why these were released out of nowhere. these aren't new songs, they're very old songs most likely being released as treats for the fans, or if you want to get super speculative: promotional material for a regional at best remaster. tyler's mental health isn't some mystery the fans need to speculate over, he's a person who's just like you and me who happened to make really amazing songs that spoke to so many people that he became famous as a result. it's best not to get yourself super worked up about an adult man with a wife and kids. it's probably best to reflect on your own mental health and figure out what needs to happen so you can grow to be the best person you can be. stay alive, because it's the only way you'll be able to get there. take it from someone who's made it to the other side. it's a tough journey but it's worth it.

listening to these for the first time makes me feel nostalgic. I'm realizing how much I've grown up with this music. how much it has defined me in these last essential years of my life. i have such a huge way to go in terms of dealing with demons and stuff but hearing this made me feel 15 again, discovering this music, feeling heard, feeling not alone. it makes me want to sob and dance around at the same time. i have no idea how i'm 21 now. i don't know that things have gotten easier, if anything it's been harder- but if i could talk to myself at 15, i'd tell her that there's MORE, and sometimes that's all you need to know. you need to hang on. i hope there's still more.

these titles remind me of my music folder
Techno2 sounds like it could have developed into slowtown to me, did anyone else think that? Also Regg... that sounds super similar to something in self-titled, I recognize it. Maybe in the intro to isle of flightless bird? Similar drums to Isle of Flightless Birds in bellkit as well.
Ik I’m late to this comment lol but it sounds kinda like a mix of lovely and slowtown. I thought no one else noticed!
@@-ava- Oh yeah I can hear Lovely in it too!
I knew a flash drive was sent to fans that cracked the 20th code but I had no idea there were demos on it 😢 I'm so moved by raw emotion I'm hearing 💙💙💙
