リリースから約１ヶ月、毎日何回も聴いてます。どんどん引き込まれその都度思います。生で聴きたい、生で観たい。お給仕が待ち遠しくてたまりません。
リリースからヘビロテしてます。
各パートのフィルインが(それ以外も)いちいちカッコいい。ラスサビ入りのキメ部分も背中がゾクゾクしました。詰め込み過ぎ感は否めませんが、カッコ良さ、曲の良さ、展開のワクワク感、何度聴いても飽きないのは変わらずですね。今後もますます楽しみです。

Its so cool how listening to Band-Maid...not speaking Japanese....you don't have to understand the words. Its like your mind hears their music and no matter what....you understand the emotion of the song solely by the music. best band in the world right now in my opinion.
So much to unpack here. This is, again, such a BANGER!
I'm normally a Tech Death Metal guy, but Band Maid has become one of my all time favourite bands (and my 3yo daughters). They just keep on delivering and I LOVE how they constantly blur the line between rock and heavy metal. I know of no other band that does this in this quality and style, which is a feat in and of it self in a genre that is mostly considered dead or depleted of new ideas.
I wish my band (including me) were quarter as talented in playing our instruments OR songwriting as these fine ladies are.
Fine words of admiration, sir.
Talent is half of it. The other half is focused hard work - blood, sweat and tears. They will often practice 8+ hours a day and still do other things. They are relentless in pursuit of excellence.
When Misa was developing her slap bass skills, she practiced to the point of bleeding blisters. Then came the news that the studio had a time slot open up. So...
She went, and she played it perfectly. She will not accept less of herself.
When Tony Visconti produced the vocal tracks for "The Dragon Cries" he was stunned at Miku and Saiki's commitment to work 8 hour days until it was done. Nobody else had ever done that.
When they took on some anime theme music projects, Kanami saw these best represented with many rapid notes, and asked Akane how many beats per minute she could do. Then she upped the number and asked her to reach it. Akane worked hard and hit over 220 bpm, then 230 bpm...
Meantime she asked Miku to do the same on rhythm guitar and gave her some runs to practice, and another song to be a step forward with her speed. Miku did it. Again, full days of practice and development to new levels. During all this Kanami pushed herself on lead guitar as well.
And... Saiki had to sing and enunciate the words at that speed. She also worked to get it perfectly timed and sung, reliably.
Miku had never played guitar before starting Band-Maid. Kanami taught her simple things first and did her parts on the studio tracks. But from complete newbie in 2013, she has become a solid second guitarist today. How? Great guitar coach Kanami, and committed hard work developing the skills by Miku.
Oh, and for live shows, if it is at all possible to extensively practice before the show in the venue, they will - they've even been observed doing a full set practice before their full set performance if practical.
Lots of talent, yes. But also blood, sweat and tears developing every bit of that talent into real musicianship, constantly improving. All with good humor, while maintaining their love of the music and each other.

Oh my god, these girls just kill it every time!! Miku’s harmonies are like nothing else I’ve ever heard. She’s so good! Kanami slays the guitar on this track, Misa rocks her bass, and Saiki seems to have no end to her range and depth.
But good lord… the drumming by Akane. That girl is beyond talented. I love band maid so much, but Akane has my heart. Just love her. 😁
Yes, they are killing their career with each copycat release. Their spark is gone.

遊戯王VRAINSからこのグループ知ったけど疾走感ある曲多くて好き。歌詞やメロディにプラチナエンドの世界観が含まれててリスペクトを感じる。曲の完成度が高いしこのグループは売れる。
RockがRockだった時代に覚醒させてくれたのはBAND-MAIDです。みんなで応援しましょう。
今の日本人は他人が聴いてるから聴くとか流行に左右されるだけなので、ハードロック（ヘビーメタルではない）の本道を行くBand-Maidは売れにくいのです。その点、海外ではハードロックの本道が根付いているから評価は高いし売れる可能性は高い。そういう意味で日本の音楽（？）シーンは死にました。

I did that....then decided I also wanted physical copies, so bought all the CDs a week or two later (except 1st single - just a bit TOO pricey now). Resisted temptation to get the recent vinyl re-releases though.

Whew! Saiki is really all over her registers, Misa and Akane pushing a non stop drive, i always look forward to Kanami's shred, great harmony as usual from Miku / Saiki chemistry, oh yes! fabulous transitions, cool classical intro, causes a slap in your face contrast. Their making sure "It aint over"! Excellent Girls!!

Kanami writes the music, initially then all the members of the group make suggestions, and usually Miku writes the lyrics but this time Saiki wrote them. What a group!!!!! TALENT

The Band-Maid live show at Tokyo Garden Theater has just ended. I met a lot of great people from around the world. A few from the US, one guy from the UK, one from Australia, and a few more. I had the time of my life watching Band-Maid live for the first time, but definitively not the last. I will spend all my spare time and money travelling to where they may play, not all shows but a few select shows every year.
In my view, Band-Maid are the greatest hardrock band of all times, and I stick with that. Kanami had me shed some tears from her wonderful playing. Miku had me shed some tears for the fact that she founded this amazing band, and the fact that she is an amazing guitar player, singer, and performer. MISA is beyond comparison, there is no one playing the bass like her. Akane is a beast on the drums keeping a great rythm going. And Saiki’s voice was as good as it ever gets, I hold her as the greatest singer in hard rock history.
I’ll be back for more Band-Maid as soon as I possibly can, I really hope they will come to Europe this year. Greetings from Ariake Garden, Tokyo. Other than that, greetings from Norway.
EDIT: I won the lottery for Band-Maid at Zepp Shinjuku on July 3rd, I'm going back to see them live again this summer, I'm so happy PO

Forgot to mention, Band-Maid is now better than ever technically. And their songs are great at a very high level and are very melodic, as usual but even better now. I love them SOooooooo much.

For me Band-Maid are the only band I've ever listened to where I do not skip songs, it haven't happened yet, and I have bought their entire catalog, every release. They are truly a gifted bunch of musicians. :-) Being a musician myself for the last 45 years, I can appreciate what they are doing, and I love Band-Maid for sure.

Discovered his awesome band in early 2019. Was fortunate enough to catch them live right before the pandemic hit. Not a day goes by that I don’t listen to their music. Either at work, driving to and from work, at home and I love watching reactors seeing them for the first time and thinking the same as me, these ladies are amazing!

Band Maid is still my favorite band after keeping listen to their music about two years. They are just too unique.
I agree but I do read some comments from people stating that they are just a run of the mill hard rock band. Clearly, they aren't listening very closely. Band-Maid rewards you for repeat listens with all the layers in their songs. There is usually a surface layer of catchy hard rock with all sorts of technical musicianship going on below the surface.
I just finished watching the mv of Unleash!!!! im so hooked on them, i just love the concept of maids and rock!! Definitely sticking around for more rock-music!!

I love the epic classical piece at the beginning. Kanami I believe is such a genius writer that she could pull off am entire classical album if she wanted. Plus she showed in this song that she can shred as fast as anyone in the business.

Serina (TRiDENT), Haraguchi (Nemophila), Ainyan (Silent Siren), Mina (Girlfriend), F-Chopper Koga (Gacharic Spin), Miho (ex-Lovebites), Haru (Bridear) are easily Misa's equals if not her betters.

In terms of technical skill, there's a cap to it unless you're playing math/prog rock or classical in which none of the members you listed would be on. In terms of tone? how they play live? composition? how can you tell who's better if they're all playing their own original songs, with different roles as a bassist. Misa is an amazing musician and let people complement her without having to compare her with others, especially when there's no definitive way to measure who's better.

I was expecting perfection and got so much more! I only started listening to BAND-MAID last week, but they made me fall deeply in love with music after professional frustrations had lead to me hating it. I've been writing nonstop and it's thanks to this incredible band.

Listened to other Japanese metal bands I'm new to this, Band Maid your in a league of your own...your music really is unique.
That seems to be the conclusion many end up at after listening to all their 100+ tracks. There really isn’t any other band out there that sound like them, at all.

Have you listened to Hagane, they are relatively new/unknown, only other Japanese band other than Band-Maid and Babymetal that I have found myself to have repeat listens. Band-Maid is still on a whole other level though.
