I am 60, listened to Australian rock growing up, these ladies are the only thing like it now, and like the great Australian rock, you cannot help but to smile. The band also does noto not take themselves too seriously. Just wish I found them years ago
I listened to this song in my car on the way to work this morning, then listened to it multiple times at work, then in the car on the way home. AND HERE I AM AGAIN. This band is crazy addictive!!
If you think you're addicted now, whatever you do, don't go see them live, you'll never get them out of your system! These Girls are beyond amazing. I flew across the country to see them in LA. Totally worth it. I was minorly worried that maybe they wouldn't be as good live as their CDs and videos are. What was I worried about!? Incredible! I have not been this excited about a band in at least 20 years.
Charles Coleman I’m from Australia so I can only hope and pray they somehow or someway end up in my country. But the music scene here doesn’t really have that great of promoting so sometimes it’s difficult to get my favourite international bands in the country. But at this rate maybe I’ll fly to Japan to check them out, ive been playing them non stop all week and don’t think it’s going to stop any time soon!
@@jessbell8299 Have faith, Jess. Two years ago (2017), they played one date in the US. the next year, two dates, LA and San Fran. Last year it was five dates. 2 in NYC, one in Dallas and two in LA. Their popularity is spreading and I hope and believe they will continue to add tour dates. I do hope they pay you guys in Australia a few visits. The country that gave us AC/DC deserves it! Hey, good luck with those wild fires, too! We're keeping you guys in our prayers.
Charles Coleman I am certainly keeping a positive attitude. Holding out for band-maid and Babymetal to make a tour in Australia eventually!!! But I shall wait patiently. Thank you so much, seems to be starting to calm down quite a bit so hopefully we can get it all under control before any more lives are lost 💜

I liked it so much that I didn't listen to any more Band-Maid for a while because I didn't want to be disappointed. I was worried they wouldn't have another song as good as this one. So instead I started watching a bunch of reaction videos of this song and reading comments. People say RUclips commenters are the worst, but RUclips Band-Maid fans are the best. Anyway, the next morning I couldn't resist anymore and decided to check out a song that had been recommended a lot in the comments; a song called "Blooming". Needless to say, the idea that "they wouldn't have any songs as good as 'Dice'" went out the window pretty fast. I started binging and in less than one day they had usurped every band I'd been listening to for 30+ years. Thank you, Band-Maid. "Our rock never dies ever! Forever!" I sure hope so.

World class! I would love it but it is a Japanese group. I love them. But even with the song 'Dragon Cry' that they sing entirely in English does not break through in America. Also, rock is less popular these days.

Right, life surely isn't fair, but I will say I've never spent more money supporting a band in my life. I just hope it's enough to keep them satisfied.
Everyone's talking about the vocals or the lead guitar but I REALLY appreciate the bass, especially at the beginning solo part. Awesome kick off to the track

I'd argue this is one of the few bands I've seen where every member gets about equal praise. If anything I feel like Saiki kind of gets forgotten sometimes about by all the people losing their mind over the rhythm section.
She has a killer tone. Reminds me a bit of Duff's in the early 90s with GNR. It has a great roundness to it with both punch and clarity. And when she takes a solo, it's so well articulated.
I canNOT not watch this. Every time she comes in with that woom or whatever it is. You know what I'm referring to. It's just perfect. She does it at the end of every verse . she does it at 1:20. And the DRUMS! My god! This band is just perfect.
BAND-MAID make Rock'n Roll great again!
I absolutely agree! Band-Maid is undeniably the best musical discovery I have made this year. They have replaced virtually every band I have followed as my absolute rock favorite! Love these amazingly talented ladies! Every song slays me with the energy and fun they bring. So refreshing🤘
As a 50yr Old Rocker Musician myself This is PURE PERFECTION Have no Clue what she is Singing but Who Fucking Cares the Harmonies are Fucking Amazing & Musically it doesn't get any Better Rock than These LADIES
That's the magic of music, in all genres, you can feel the song with just the composition and patterns even if its foreign language or having no lyrics at all! ^_^
This is their pure energy. If you don't understand what they're saying that will let you know through their instruments. I doubt you could handle their words LOL. I'm almost seventy years old. These girls bring back memories of the 70s. When you figure out what they're saying you will really understand! They are a movement. a force to be reckoned with. Definitely on my bucket list
That rhythm section is just immense, laying down such a foundation for the guitars and vocals. Never thought I'd add a petite group of Japanese females to my playlist!! Class act all round.
I thought I clicked on "Secret My Lips", but it didn't matter. I think that's kind of when it really clicks how good they are. It doesn't matter what song it is, you know you should just sit back and listen and hear stuff you didn't hear the first hundred times. At worst, you can hear a really solid band from seven years ago and reflect on how much they've grown. A reminder that the non-MV songs are just as good as the ones with videos, and that you can hear things on the CDs that you can't hear on streaming.
right - i see a lot of commenters say the live is much better - although i prefer live most of the time the mv for dice just has more punch to it than any live i've found. there are a couple close but no cigar
@@guyfrattallone6029 the question is - will it ever happen ? well they supposedly have a u.s. tour for this year planned - that is if all of the tools running these cities let them.
@@markbaker8255 Yes MISA MISA MISA-her phenomenal bass lines on the live "about us" thoroughly blew me away! And she had a fifth of Jim Beam on top of her amp--wow...I've read she's mysterious...
@@Marcus_C51 - the more we know about her, the more mysterious she is. The only one whose family name we don't know. (BTW, don't assume we know what we know about the others either; "Miku Kobato" is a stage name.) The only one who doesn't use a click track for timing. She feels Akane's drumbeats directly through her feet instead. The one who takes a shot for her nerves before playing a concert (has always had stage fright though it is getting better). And never lets it affect her timing badly. No one else handles it as well; there is a clip of Saiki flatting notes all over that worried me until I was told she had hit Misa's stash. Saiki sloppy was incomprehensible, Saiki drunk was cute as hell. Being offside while others are spotlighted, she is the lurking barefoot (stocking feet actually) Ninja in shadows, in black... The one who had practiced until she had bleeding blisters on her fingers and THEN came the call that Hey, we've got studio time... and went in and did her parts perfectly anyway... She really IS that badass. The one who most often starts the round of risque jokes that gets them all laughing and relaxed before heading onstage, according to Saiki. The one who speaks least but fans yell her name the most.
Never heard of them until Rockville {Daytona) ! Now like many others have said They are very addictive and hope to see them again Live. High energy and SUPER talented group of musicians!!!!
So ya, I was bored with European and Western rock/metal music in general, it all sounds the same now, so I fell off the rock road and found myself listening to 90s Trance. Then my friend recommended these girls...and now I've never been happier in my music and my life!
same here - found the MAIDS in 2016 and just love their sound. now if you have not heard japanese female power metal band LOVEBITES you need to hear them. start with any song and just go ! 4 cd's of non stop shredding awesomeness with 2 lead guitarists that rule the planet.
How anyone could listen to - Saikis voice - Mikus driving rhythm guitar - Misas skillful baselines - Kanamis awesome solos - Akane hitting those drums as if her life depended on it without getting a big smile on their face is incomprehensible to me. *looking at my brothers*

I haven't hit 20 yet in a sitting but HAVE spent quite a bit of time lately listening to this incredible song! I've always loved it, but as happens with so many of their songs, they keep growing on me and I'm finally realizing just what a masterpiece it is! (adding to the list of so many in their catalogue!) The relentless, BADA$$ Band Maid rockin' groove, after they are through blasting your face off, they bring down the dynamics. Merely a sublime eye in the hurricane to relax for a short time then it's back to kicking ass! The guitars are so heavy (add in Misa Misa and Kanami's solos), locked in with the all-world rhythm section of Misa Misa and Akane and the vocals of Miku and Saiki. All that and extremely well written lyrics delivering quite the strong message! Another one of their perfect songs!
The first time I heard this song, at the end I ended up on my knees crying with emotion in front of the monitor trying to understand what had happened to me, it has been and continues to be the most powerful song that always makes my skin crawl and brings me tears of emotion.. That was 5 years ago and it hasn't changed
Stunning vocals: Check, guitar players that shred: check, killer bass player: check, amazing drummer: check. Such a great band to listen to for sure. I'll be playing your music extra loud out of my race car trailer this year at the track for sure...

It's slightly worrying to admit it but these young women engender something like love even at my advanced age, but especially Kanami who's combination of musical genius and playing excellence contrasted to her slight off-stage awkwardness is particularly endearing.

Absolutely--I've done some PR work on Quora and several other music sites. I honestly think about 90% of the people who hear them will dig them--the other 10% are kidding themselves-ha ha. Thjey need to surrender to Band-Maid's vibe, it'll do them some good right? ha ha.
They say rock & roll is dead … well they are wrong… it just moved to the wonderful island nation of Japan and being perfected by 5 incredible and talented young ladies in maid outfits …. Thank you Band Maid …

Been listening for a while now, but this ...this honestly deserves more recognition. This seems like the perfect intro for people all over the world to get to know them. It's loud, it's catchy, it shows some virtuous plays. It's just good.

I'm an old rocker. Thank you girls for making rock n 'roll live. 🤘🤘🤘
This is as good as ANY rock and roll song ever written, and played with chaotic, precise perfection if that makes any sense. Mother of god
As a 50yr Old Rocker Musician myself This is PURE PERFECTION
Have no Clue what she is Singing but Who Fucking Cares the Harmonies are Fucking Amazing & Musically it doesn't get any Better Rock than These LADIES
And then you pull up the lyrics and realize... Miku's a FREAK! (She writes the lyrics)

That's the magic of music, in all genres, you can feel the song with just the composition and patterns even if its foreign language or having no lyrics at all! ^_^
you're so young!

Nice description.
That rhythm section is just immense, laying down such a foundation for the guitars and vocals. Never thought I'd add a petite group of Japanese females to my playlist!! Class act all round.
What a way to describe the rhythm section! They *are* IMMENSE! They bring a lot to BAND-MAID's sound.
This is the one BAND MAID song that is the hardest to recreate 'sound-wise' when played live. I love this wonderful hit!
right - i see a lot of commenters say the live is much better - although i prefer live most of the time the mv for dice just has more punch to it than any live i've found. there are a couple close but no cigar

MISA MISA MISA THE BAREFOOT ASSASSIN
@@markbaker8255 Yes MISA MISA MISA-her phenomenal bass lines on the live "about us" thoroughly blew me away! And she had a fifth of Jim Beam on top of her amp--wow...I've read she's mysterious...
@@Marcus_C51 - the more we know about her, the more mysterious she is.
The only one whose family name we don't know. (BTW, don't assume we know what we know about the others either; "Miku Kobato" is a stage name.)
The only one who doesn't use a click track for timing.
DICE will never get old. 4 years later still absolute fire 🔥

Only 20+?!

Love your comments!!
