Yeah because he can afford to pay a mechanic to do so. They’re probably charging the customer $4,000 for all this. When the parts cost probably $900 combined. Mechanics are a rip off. Do the work yourself. Also that moog pitman arm has a ton of bad reviews online. Another issue paying a mechanic to do the work for you, they use the cheapest parts without checking to see if they’re good quality just to maximize their profit and a lot of times the parts go bad just days outside the warranty period. Mechanics are for lazy people afraid of a few grease stains on their cloths.

I replaced the Bilsteins shocks at 92,500 miles only because they began to leak. I used KYB Monomax struts and shocks as replacements. Runner seals will dry amd overall certain fluids needs to be flushed due to the breakdown (age, heat, etc) brake fluid and power steering should be flushed very 30-35,000 miles. Drive your Tundra on the highway as well, it serves to heat the engine for about a 30-40 miles stretch a few times a year. Just a thought - this was a viewer that came to you - I wonder how much of an increase the business has had because of your videos? I know if I wasn't across the country from you I wouldn't hesitate one second to have you working on my vehicles (but driving from Spokane WA to you for repairs seems kind of excessive). Love the material and the attention to details that you have - on both channels!

Motorhome owners are a different breed as most have MONEY so they drive from all over the U.S. to come to Nacodoches, TX to get their Foretravels worked on - not just warranty stuff but ones that are 10 or 20 years old. The advantage for them is there are RV spaces with power, water, and sewer hook up in the parking lot!

I grew up with torsion bar suspension cars, a 1959 DeSoto and a 1962 Plymouth. My dad and I rebuilt the front suspension on the DeSoto, and I well remember unloading and then reloading the torsion bars. The final after he got it aligned and drove it for a week.

I’m currently stripping the sub-frame on my XJS and I also use that Milwaukee impact gun as part of my tool kit; it is very effective at removing nuts and bolts that have been in place for thirty four years or so and in awkward positions though, a good sousing with WD goes a long way as well. It’s not cheap but worth having in your arsenal. I’m not connect to the company in any way just a satisfied customer.

GOOD MORNING RAY! I learn something every time I watch your videos! I clarifies more and more why it costs what it costs to have all my vehicles worked on! And the reason once you find a great mechanic, stay with them. They know your vehicles and know when things need to be replaced and or repaired. PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE is the real key to have a safe and reliable vehicles. Keep it up Ray! Am watching you replace the wood on your trailer. Are you going to put a sealer on the wood to help it last longer? Roger in Pierre South Dakota

I recently went thru my tool box to remove tools I don't use much anymore. (like my carb & points adjusting screwdriver) and came across my pitman arm puller. Been many years since I had to use it, so it's in a special place in a box of "lost tools." should donate them to a local trade school. My days of working on parallel suspension vehicles is long past!

It almost hurts to see how easily those lcas slid off the torsion bars. 20 years of northeast winters and maxed out torsion keys have seized the bars in at both ends on my 03 Avalanche. Even a 30lb jackhammer wouldn’t make them budge. I’ve resolved to just cutting out the bars and going for a full coil over conversion. I only wish the previous owners had taken better care of the front suspension. I’ll fix it up eventually once spring comes around though. Very helpful video!

Hey. I recently became a huge fan of Ridgid power tools, I picked up the octane mid torque 1/2 in , the big boi high torque 1/2 inch (the one that beats Milwaukee) and the subcompact 3/8in.
I bought the subcompact thinking I was going to return it, but man...it's strong. I had an engine job to do, B58 motor. I used it for everything, all suspension bolts/nuts, driveshaft bolts, subframe bolts, front diff bolts, bell housing bolts, flywheel bolts. Did it all. It's my favorite tool now.
Highly recommend you give it a try Ray
Also Milwaukee, Ridgid and Ryobi are all made by TTI

For future videos that are similar to this where you're using a puller can you show the full speed of whatever it is popping loose FIRST then do the slow mo.. Because for myself it just takes alot of the satisfaction away when you slow it down first..
But that is my only gripe about any of your videos outside of leaving the key in the ignition while having the door WIDE OPEN and having to listen to that hugely ANNOYING door chime.. And the seatbelt ding is a little annoying as well but I've noticed you've been working on that so good job on you for that kind sir..
But other than those few things I'm loving the videos and the content in said videos..
