This is amazing! Very well done. I don't think people will fully realize what an achievement this is. The lighting, sound design, models, animation. simulations, cinematography, storytelling. It's all incredibly well done.
That was great! I could easily watch a lot more of that story if you were to make more or a longer feature for sure. Excellent work in all areas of production. Three thumbs up from me!
Amazing! I love so much about it, the lighting, animation/mocap, sound design, environment, the volumetrics, the embers and cloth sims when he's hiding behind the rock but especially the camera work stood out to me, love all of the choices you made!
Main software was Houdini for all the environment,lighting,FX,rendering etc...Redshift was the render engine I used. Maya was used for animation/mocap cleanup. ZBrush to create the character sculpts. Marvelous Designer to create clothing/outfits. Plasticity to design some of the props/hard surface models. Substance Painter for texturing. Fusion/Resolve for compositing/edit/grade :)
A few of the soldiers hold their weapon in their right hand. The main reason for the left handed bias is that I performed most of the mocap and I'm left handed.
