just got this guitar for a home practice guitar and I love it. It is so cool looking and you can't beat the price. Sounds killer through my Orange Crush mini amp. Great and absolutely the most in depth review I've seen.
Awesome review! I'm not a big fan of Gio but I can't help but love this guitar. It has pretty much everything I could ever want. Killer paint job everything is blacked out wich is my favorite. I've also always wanted an Ibanez with a pickguard. This is the ultimate mod platform. Can't beat the price either. I feel the same about tone pots too. I have no use for them. I'll probably replace it with a killswitch when I get mine. Or get another pickguard and eliminate that hole entirely. Thanks for the review Cheers!
You're welcome and glad you liked it. I think this Iby is killer looking also. I'm also going to change pickups eventually and maybe even replace that plastic nut with better guality nut. Cheers!
I am a beginner in playing so i wanted not to pay so much money for my first guitar. So far the grgr131ex does a great job and looks fantastic/metal 😉 thank you for the great Video ! I Hope you can understand my englisch. Greetings from germany 🤘
Thank you and glad you liked my video. This has 0,5mm thicker neck than RG421. GRGR on 1 fret is 19,5mm and RG421 is 19mm, at 12 fret GRGR is 21,5mm and RG421 is 21mm. Cheers!
Need help with choosing a Guitar Hi, I have been looking for the best possible guitar I can get under 26k. I’m not looking for. Flyod Rose or a tremolo system as I have found that at this range the guitars don’t hold their tuning very well. I have shortlisted Ibanez GIO grgr131ex which is available for ₹24,800 and Schecter SGR Avenger which is for ₹25,598. I have heard a lot of reviews on RUclips for grgr131ex and I like that it has 5 way switch which can bring in versatility to my production and the SGR has 3 way Switches. grgr131ex has Infinity R picks (2 Humbuckers) and SGR has Diamond Plus pick ups. I have not been able to find much about SGR. Can you please help me pick the best possible electric guitar? This is going to be my first electric guitar and I need your help to make the right decision. Thanks in advance :)
I’ve just bought one mainly for different tunings as my other guitars are Floyd rose and some I keep in standard. I bought the walnut flat gio which I sent back as the nut was cut way to deep making it unplayable….let’s hope I have more luck with this model. 🏴✌️

Thank you for the thorough examination and great playing of this guitar, I think I may get one. Looks cool, probably lightweight and rocks! Don't have to worry about things happening to it too much and extremely affordable. I wish they had inexpensive guitars like this when I was young in the 80's. Kickass!
Thank you very much and glad you liked my video🙏 it is a pretty light guitar and very nicely made although it's a cheap one. I changed the pickups and it is even greater instrument now. And yeah you don't have to watch out all the time...few pumps and dings doesn't matter in rhis one.
@@InstrumentsForEmotions I'm curious, what pickups did you put in it? The reason I ask is, I have an Ibanez that has Dimarzio's in it and they are just way too noisy, sound good, but noisy as hell. Do you know if Semour Duncan's are noisy, or what do you recommend? Thanks man.
@@samueltractorton2088 you can watch the whole pickup swapping from here: ruclips.net/video/tOcZWGgDax0/видео.html I've allways used dimarzios or ibanez own highend pickups i don't have experience with Seymour Duncans✌️
Looks great! Is the broken tone pot a fault of the guitar itself and its quality, or is it just bad luck that got a broken tone pot to you? Im thinking of getting this as my first *electric* guitar. Or should I pay more for an electric guitar? I have a 600 USD budget.
I think it's just a bad luck nothing else. Go to local music store and try a few different guitars that are in the your budget. Select guitar that you liked the most.
Hey im thinking about buying this guitar and i have a question about restringing it, how do you restring a reverse headstock? do you start from the high e string first?

The nut, i ve seen some ppl sanding it down to lower the action because it seems to be a little high. I am buying one of these guitars to experiment, I currently have a les paul with zebra humbackers and i cannot get enough chugginess amd dont want to change the pickups
@@markanthonyborg2468 oh yeah...no i didn't sand nut from this one but that is one option if you want very low action. And if your intonation is bad from lower frets sanding the nut slots lower is option too then.
