Great review! Bought this beauty 4 month ago and it's amazing. I've been using it with VOX VT20X. Great for such songs as Slipknot or disturbed if you put 12-60 strings on it
Oh my... I just ordered mine today! I have to wait until Friday to get my hands on it. Two sleepless nights before I feel young again. Nearly 30 years since I was in a metal band. I'm hoping to get a smidge of SRV sounding blues out of it.
Such a killer time to be alive! Budget guitars are seriously cooking man ahaha! Love the channel, love your guitar riffs and shredding. Keep the vids coming! #getchapull
I do believe they are Infinity pickups they may be one of the guitar pickups that are collaboration between di marzio and Ibanez I may be wrong but they've been using those pickups in their guitars for decades
Hey whats up i ended up getting the ibanez gio that you did a vid on do to hard times i had to sell off my guitars krammer pacer custom 2 esp ltd and a fender strat i ended up getting this guitar to to money and just wanting to get back into playing but love your vids you very good on guitar ...and ill keep watching and im glad to start getting back into playing
My friend, i am sorry to hear. I have been down that road, life can be that way but we got this. We can rebuild and stand tall. I totally appreciate your comment. You are not alone my friend.
@SteveRicardo777 hey Derrick again thanks for getting back and also thanks for what you said its been really hard for me with everything but just trying to keep my head up and start playing guitar again and just try and be happy ...I love watching your vids and will keep watching hope one day I can play as good as you your really good on guitar ...
Very cool-looking guitar, although I'd say the pickups are the definite weak spot. They sound kind of like a tin can. You can get a pair of good used pickups for like 120 Euros/140-150 Dollars and you're good to go. If you want to go the metal route, you could get a Dimarzio DP100 Distortion or something like a Seymour Duncan Custom 5 in the bridge, in the neck you could go for a more vintage models to get good clean and bluesy lead tones.
Great video! I’m 15 and I own a squire strat hss and an epiphone les paul. This thing looks killer and I kind of want to pick one up considering how low the price is. Do you think I could put some Jim Root EMG’s in this?
Hey steve its derrick here i did right to before on the coments love how go you are on guitars ... but was wondering i did get the gio the one you did the vid on love it its all blacked out was wondering do you have any nice hard core pedals you recommend or anything looking for some hard heavy sound with that guitar anything you recommend..thanks and let me no
Okay I had some doubts, but after this review I really think I am going to buy this Ibanez... maybe it's just your amazing shredding, but this guitar looks and sounds brutal! 🎸

I wish they made a budget friendly Xiphos or Destroyer blacked out like this under the gio line. with reverse headstock ;)
I have one on order thanks

Ahhh, id have to check it out. Ill get back to you asap
@@SteveRicardo777 thanks for the quick reply
@@bgnookie no problem, you deserve it.
I can use this guitar to play black sabbath songs? Im huge fan but the sg too expensive
You totally can. Have you ever looked at the LTD Viper? Their version of the SG. Very affordable.
I can squeeze Paranoid out of a Squier Jazzmaster so Sabbath is within reach with the Ibanez!
Okay I had some doubts, but after this review I really think I am going to buy this Ibanez... maybe it's just your amazing shredding, but this guitar looks and sounds brutal! 🎸
Awww, thank you so much for your comment!!!!! Yes, great guitar she is.
@@SteveRicardo777 No need to thank me, it’s true 😁 May I ask if the strings were set up correctly or were they too high when you unboxed it?
@elenamortola7497 hey, yeah.... they were good when i got the guitar. I did my thing regardless
@@SteveRicardo777 Brilliant! Thanks for your reply, Steve!
You forgot to take the plastic off the pickups.. but I love my gio.. easiest playing, best sounding guitar Ive had in a long time.. peace
Thanks mate, unfortunately its a demo and i couldn't. Great guitar though. Thanks for the comment.
