- Epididymis is gland that carries the sperms from the testis to the vas deferens. This small gland behind the testis can be a seat of infection and lead to pain the scrotum.
Epididymis is where the spematozoa mature and many reasons such as STDs, UTI, Reflux of urine into the epididymis, Tuberculosis and trauma can lead to epididymitis.
Treatment of epididymitis is long and in patients with chronic epididymitis pain may persist despite treatment. Microsurgical denervation of the spermatic cord can be needed in some cases of chronic pain.

Thank You Sir... You explained in a very cool way. Its been a week since I was diagnosed with epididimytis and infection has subsided due to antibiotics. Doc also suggested to have Enzoflam for pain. Now pain has almost gone and in second USG it is seen that little skin thickness and bulkyness at the head is still there. I'm a soccer player. Within next how many days should I do start my training routine with tight scrotal support. Please guide me, Ill be obliged.

@@amitpatel1194 i got cured, doctor said that , the pain was phycological , so he stopped my antibiotics and started anxiety, anti depression pill , and said it nothing serious issue, I got cured from the pain, and cysts are very common , they doesn't occur any problem

Hi Doctor I’ve a really important question. My Swelling has gone and the pain has also reduced as I’m on Antibiotics from past 6 weeks so for how long will the pain continue? It is less but still feel little bit Inflamed.
