- Used my premade Byredo fragrance and transferred it into an empty perfume bottle. Don't forget to rinse the empty bottle out before putting in your new fragrance.

A little tip that may help: when trying to remove the outer collar, instead of using a tissue, if you have it, cut a small square from a roll of rubber mesh sold to reline cabinet shelves (available in most dollar and department stores) to better grip and cushion the plastic from being scratched up. You can also cut from the roll of mesh some larger sizes to use as a grip for your hand when opening even the most stubborn bottle or jar lids. Your hands will thank you for it!
Thank you for this tutorial.. I searched high and low.. I can't always find the right tops as I buy testers, so it's really good to know how to transfer my perfumes into other bottles. Much appreciated ❤️

Awesomeness. Thank you. I needed to find out how to remove the bottle cap so I can fill the bottle I purchased for my wife which is the old fashioned bottle with the exterior pump.

@@Scentsibility haha. Yeah but I couldn't get the La Nuit Tresor's. I think it is the crimped kind. I tried the video that focused on that kind but still couldn't get them-proper and A La Folie. Is there a way to inject the with the pump still on? An injection tool or something? I tried it with a syringe, nope. The tried it with the pump pressed down and the syringe. Still nope. Have you got any other tricks up your sleeves?
@@luminousblue unfortunately you can't injection back into the bottles... the way the atomizer are designed they have a stopper that prevents fluid from being put into the bottles. You have to remove the crimped seal and replace it with a plastic atomizer. However every bottle has a different size and I have only found the 15mm FEA crimpless size. I still haven't found them at a reasonable price. They have to be purchased by the thousands.
@@Scentsibility Thank you! I was deliberating about whether to just sell the bottles. And that helped me decide. They ARE beautiful, but I don't have enough space to keep empty bottles just because they are pretty.
SHEIN has refillable perfume bottles cheap and they have a little bitty funnels in the kitchen section that I use to refill my bottles they are perfect for the perfume bottle so you don’t have to use a syringe or anything
I pretty much use a funnel at this point... little faster than the syringe...
You just saved me, I was about to drop $40 on some empty vintage perfume bottles, shein has a ton for $1.50 each

Hermes perfumes are refillable. Like "Jour d'Hermes Absolu" and some others. You can use their bottles if someone sells them empty.

Excellent work with the reuse of bottles !!! Have you tried using a metal cone to pur the perfume directly into the bottles?( like the ones Tom Ford has for private blend atomizers) . Now I'll have to find and clean all the old bottles I have and fill them 😊 Thank so much for your video 💖

Mine is Chanel, a crimped bottle. Any idea what the plastic sprayer thing is called so I can replace my crimped one with that?
I already twisted mine with disposable rubber glove and used phone screen repair tool to lift the cap, that's another easy way to do it, currently I put-ed it back together.

hello and great and helpful tutorial. I bought a Caron's Bellodgia bottle, I think its from the 60's or maybe even the 1950's. the bottle comes inside a gold metal and very decorative cannister and its a 2 oz. bottle. The glass bottle has a gold medal rim around it and I think I may try your paper towel and plyers technique to open it. Im pretty sure that this bottle was meant to be refilled because its a beautiful little set. Any information would be very helpful and appreciated. be well
Does it have a sprayer??? You can pull the sprayer off to see if its metal or plastic. Plastic is refillable while the metal is crimped on the bottle and not refillable. You can check to see if it's a screw on type as well... Don't pull the metal sleeve off your bottle if you see metal. You will destroy the look of your bottle

Is this a beauty bottle... I image the same way as a perfume bottle but you would need an plastic style atomizer if the bottle is crimped style. I have never tried this product but I will look into it since it works for acne-prone skin.

I cannot find them either... the Aerin Lauder bottles had the crimpless style... I check all my perfume bottles before getting rid of them for the crimpless atomizers.

I'm glad I came across your video. I am looking at purchasing a 100ml dior sauvage bottle on ebay but not sure if it has a plastic or metal fitting... worse case scenario and it is metal instead of plastic, what is the alternative method??
Dior are not refillable... and the atomizer are large
Are there any pros of using the clear spray bottle on the left vs the amber one on the right? Seems it's purely about spray pattern, how much perfume is shot out, and cuteness. I was wanting to break down a 60mL bottle of perfume oil w/ perfume alcohol that I got and was hoping the amber style bottles would work fine since I already have these (2oz-4oz amber bottles). Sorry if you already covered this. Still checking out your perfuming videos.
Dark colored bottles protect you perfume better from light. Clear bottles allow sunlight to come through which makes it go bad faster. Store all perfumes in a cool dark area and they will last so much longer.
Also have another suggestion for you you probably already do this when you print your perfume labels out on your label maker if you have a laminating machine you could possibly and laminate your perfume labels so it when you cover them up I'm up using Scotch tape when you need to removed your perfume labels or cologne labels.
Suggestion is print your perfume labels or cologne labels out on your label maker machine what you need to do after that is in laminate your labels so when you cover your labels up with Scotch tape or whatever you used to secure them to your bottles when you need to remove them from your bottles they should be safe cuz your people won't rip that suggestion for you and the viewersit should help you and every other of your out.
Love this suggestion... and I agree everyone should be working together on here for the greater good of perfumery. It's impossible for me to know it all.

There's no list.... you just pull the sprayer off an check. If you see Plastic atomizer your good. Metal obviously is a no go

You can pull off the sprayer. If there is a plastic atomizer then yes if it's metal then no it's not refillable.
Aren't the oils too thick to spray efficiently through the smaller atomizer tubes without clogging it?
Nope... they turn into the same product you get from commercialize companies... Super thick oils are usually "Attars" and they are different than a perfume oil...
Doesn't the smell from the previous scent remain in the bottle, even if rinsed, & sprayer?
Not if your using glass... glass doesn't absorb the oils like plastic... plastic is a one time use.

Unfortunately I have never purchased any... they came with the bottles. I have not been able to find them for sale.
I tried this and sadly it never worked with my bottle of Ariana grande cloud do you have a recommendation of how to open and refill that but a easy way
You can only refill them if it has or you have a plastic atomizer. This is why I recommend checking all bottles.

i washed the bottle with hot water and let it dry but the smell is still their and it feels stronger than before
Try a little soapy water... if its plastic you can't refill with another scent... plastic absorbs perfume permanently

Great video! 1.) Do you clean it with just water or water and alcohol or some other chemical? Because how do you completely cleans the smell of the last fragrances from it?
2.) Could do another video on the crimping method?
I use hot water and wash it least 3 times shaking it up... then I put the spray tube in enough to spray until it clean... spray spray spray... Glass bottles don't absorb the fragrance... that's why plastic is never used... save your alcohol for your perfume fragrance. Don't forget to check out my other DIY videos and perfume reviews on sprays, oils and attars.
I dont have a crimper... but I know how to remove them and replace them with a plastic cap so it is refillable. There extremely hard to find... I happen to get lucky and stubble on to it... pull your spray cap off... if you see plastic its refillable.

@@TeamHarrisonMachine I bought mine off ebay in a pack... the gauge is the needle hole... your looking for a 10 ml, 5ml, and 3ml, etc... get a variety and a small perfume funnel it will make the alchohol fill part faster... you needle tip should be flat where it can piece the skin

I have a bottle of Arpege, and it quit spraying. It was expensive, and I am very disappointed that it will not spray anymore. How do I fix it?
You can also try replacing the sprayer cap.
What if I have a little perfume like around 1cL then add water
Honestly it's not enough to make a spray... I who just use the oil straight if its 1 ml.
There are small funnels to use instead of needles.
I use a funnel now... but the syringes provide better control

These bottles had the plastic atomizer.... pop your sprayer off and look and see if the atomizer is plastic or metal.... if it's plastic your good to go...

Soapy water... run it through the sprayer too... then do a clean water flush and your good

The only way to tell is to pull off the sprayer... look down in the sleeve if you see plastic its refillable.

MMR are not refillable. Don't own Chloe so not sure

Aww... thanks... the crimper tool comes in various sizes. Was your plastic or metal. The metal caps are not replaceable.

Yes just make sure you have the correct size... its based on the diameter of the neck...

You can put another one on the bottle just find one that's the same size
How do you know if a bottle has been refilled?
Well you would need to compare the atomizer... some brands use the plastic ones and these can be refilled. The majority of bottles have a metal atomizer so if its plastic it might have been refilled. The metal atomizer are sold through China so it is very hard to determine if a perfume been tampered with. The only clue will be the perfume fragrance smells different.
@@Scentsibility i got a GREAT deal on Tom Ford Black Orchid and the bottle is 100% legit but I can't know if it's been refilled with fake juice.. I'll see tomorrow. Hopefully everything will be okay with my dream fragrance.
@@yeahh8402 I did too and it ended up being fake... check your string lengths they should be short and TF uses metal atomizers so pop your sprayer off and check for a metal atomizer

The needle syringe technique is a lot easier.

Chesco just put the needle of the syringe with perfume in and put it in the hole.
