This was a fun video. Something different for you to share with us. I use to go to an auction here in Cranberry, Pa. They closed down around 20 years ago. I miss seeing everything and getting some real bargains. Please make sure to take us with you the next time you go. Thanks again.
I love a good auction, had a dear friend who owned an auction house. My son was his manager for a while. It ran every Thursday at 5pm and the things I bought and sold!! Great memories. Your items are wonderful Amy.
I like to do research and have all my highest bids worked out before I go. Then I don’t get too crazy. Usually that works. 🤦🏻♀️ That bowl was a big (pricey) mistake. But thank you!! 😘
My x mother in law used to make braided wool rugs. She would get lots of wool and cut strips. Fold them and braid.😊❤that dolly was well loved I can imagine a little toddler dragging her around with her whole hand in her mouth. People love those frogs to put ephemera in. I would have guessed candle snuffers. You did very well my dear. Arianna at the withering cottage sell this kind of antiques in less than perfect condition and does very well. Her sales are every tues at 730 est check her out. You crack me up with pickle dishes. You love your pickles...haha😊❤
What a wonderful auction and old finds! I hope you will re coop on that first item. The bowls are amazing! Take care. Trying to stay warm in the negative 9 Temps here! Thanks for taking me along w you so I don't have to go outside! Lol.🙏🏻🌸🙏🏻
I hope to recoup some of my money on that piece too. Ugh. Definitely learned a big lesson! We’re at -2 right now. I don’t think the heater has shut off all day! 🥶
The silver thing you held up and asked what it was. It is a Victorian Tussie Mussie. Held fresh flowers in the victorian Era to mask the smell due to lack of hygiene and sewage. I collect victorian items and have a few.
Ooh loved this! I've become a bit of an auction junkie over the past few years although I usually bid online and get things shipped! Looks like a great purse book, vintage and antique purses are a great seller for me 😊. Really fun video 🥰
Thank you!! I love the live auctions. I’ll have to document them more. (Although the RUclips algorithm likes the Goodwill thrift videos better.) I wish I found more old purses!
Omg. Our dog has the same problem as Snickers. We have little (what we call) bridges (small carpets) all over the house so that Bailey can get from one room to the other. He gets 'stuck' often too. 😂😅
@YOSOBOHO Honestly Amy, I really don't remember, sorry. When we were kids, we played with dolls fashioned like that. One of my favorites, Thumballina Doll.
@@YOSOBOHO You are so welcome Amy. I wonder if your mom ever heard of a thumbellina doll, she had a wind up key and moved around like a new born baby. In the 1960's
That baby doll is Creepy AF. I’m interested in the med/small green flower frog if available :). Remind me to tell you about my Dempsey Auction experience😋Live that Book 😍. You scored big time on the Italian white dish ware ❤
I think that’s possible. It has happened to me before. Lucky for me, I take photos of everything, so I can use them for my research and also record what my highest offer will be. So, I was able to show them that they were undamaged when I saw them and they removed it from my bill.
Awww Snickers! 🥰 I love that baby doll. My mom was born in 1921 and they look like what she described her babies as 😊 What are those round brush looking things you got a lot of?
Hi, Beverly! I don't usually pick up baby dolls, but I had to grab her! 💕 The heavy brush-looking things are flower frogs. They are different sizes to fit in different containers so you can poke the end of your cut flowers into them and they will stay in position. 💐🤗
I don’t think you made a mistake on anything! Great pieces, I pretty much love everything. The white porcelain dishes are fabulous. I sent you an email, if you are selling the winged tin wall art piece, I’m interested in it. Thanks!
I spent $150 on that busted antique Villeroy & Bock bowl. I think that was a costly mistake. The Richard Ginori dishes definitely saved the day! =) Ok, I'll check my email. My friend Cheryl had asked me to look for "Mexican tin ornaments" but I don't know if it qualifies.
The price I share is my list price for eBay, but if you ever see something you love, my viewer/friends/family price is often 20-25% less (especially if I haven't yet photographed and listed it). Someone has already claimed the doll. I know! I can't believe she made it all the way down to $3!
Someone has already claimed the flower frogs. If she doesn’t take them all, I will let you know. Always feel free to email if you see anything you like. I take requests in the order they come to my email. 😊 That seems to be most fair. Thanks!
I was worried by the title of the video that you accidentally bid on something really expensive you didn’t mean to bid on. That is my biggest fear about live auctions! I think you did really well. Bummer about the damage on the one piece, but hopefully you’ll make your money back. I love the little angel picture frame!
I paid $150 for that damaged piece. 🤦🏻♀️That was the screw up. I'm not sure that I made it clear how much I paid for it. I'll be lucky to get it back. We'll see. The tin pieces from Mexico were vey neat! 😊
@ You made it clear what your mistake was, it just wasn’t as big of a mess up as I was expecting. $150 is a lot to pay for a damaged piece, but hopefully you’ll make your money back. I am someone who would accidentally bid on a high lot, win it & then not want any of it 🤣
@@LindaKayHolevas When I thought it was in good shape, I set my highest bid for $150. The auctioneer went way too fast up to that number. He even asked me if it was ok, since he jumped super fast. The pink pair is definitely creepy! They look haunted! lol
Totally creepy! Lol
Beautiful Italian dishes ❤

Nice!
Auctions are fun!
How FUN! An auction is on my bucket list! 🥳👏🤗
We should find one that more local! They are fun and a bit exhilarating! 😊
@ Yes! Count me in!! BTW great score on the flower frogs!!! 🐸💚🐸💚🐸
@@MyBlessedNest I knew you would love that pick up!
@ For sure!!
Hi Hi 💜💜💜
Hello! 😘
Great haul Amy! The dolls aren’t creepy. I love the flower frogs.
I got your email. 💕 I’ll respond tomorrow. 😊
Looked fun, I sat next to you gals at Marla's table. Oh, let me dream👍😘❤

That’s awesome, Mikki! I think I need to find more auctions that are closer to me. I definitely find good re-sellable stuff at them! 😊
Fun video Amy, I will leave the auctions to the professionals 😉 those silver things remind me of candle snuffers
That’s what I thought they were.🤷🏼♀️
They do look creepy for sure....
That’s what I thought too! We have a similar brain. 🤗
I think you’d have fun at an auction!! 😊
Wow, auctions can be fun, but you have to have a good bit of knowledge. You did good.👍👏

Wow! She hand wove rugs!? That’s amazing!!
I have been to an Arianna sale. She finds cool, weathered/primitive things. Very cool! ❤️
Some great bargains. Auctions are fast and furious but you'll get your money back on the Villeroy and Boch.
So fast and exciting! Oh, I hope so, Mary!

-1 here in Northeast Indiana! Brrr!
I hope to recoup some of my money on that piece too. Ugh. Definitely learned a big lesson!
We’re at -2 right now. I don’t think the heater has shut off all day! 🥶
Maybe you could cut the Pendleton scraps into squares and sell them as a lot for crafting.
🤔 Maybe! They are pretty small. My aunt took the bigger pieces to sell in her booth as a craft lot. 😊

So cool that you knew that! Thank goodness for Google image! Lol
I thought the posy holders were for ice cream cones! 😂 Love to you all 🫶🏼
😂 Hey, that’s as good a guess as a candle snuffer. 😂 Much love back!!
Put the Bud cup in a mystery box. I like the Mexican tin and I think I am the Cheryl you mentioned!
I did think you would love the tin pieces. Didn’t you tell me to look out for Mexican tin ornaments?
Fun video!
Thank you! ☺️
The silver mystery things may be to snuff out candles 🕯
Edit.... just saw they're for flowers 😅😅😅
Yes, but we had the same idea! 💕 I think we’re smart! Lol

Hi, Kim! From Irf too. 🤗
That was fun Amy! It's fun to see these antiques that we'll probably see once in our life time. You got some really cool stuff!!!
Thanks, Vicki! You’re right, it’s exciting to see those old things! 🤗
I think those are boutineire/bud holders to be pinned.
Great guess! Apparently they were used to help mask stinky Victorian people. Lol
I love auctions, your title I screwed up! I think you did fantastic! They are soooo much fun…Enjoy 😊
I paid $150 on that busted up Villeroy & Boch bowl. That was a big lesson. Sometimes we “pay to learn.” But that one cost a bit!
@ Oh no $150.00 I’m so so sorry 😢
@ yeah. I learned a big lesson.
Cool stuff!!! That doll looked familiar. Almost like one I had to share with my sister, as kids of course. 😊
Oh wow! Did she have a bottle? This one is missing hers. :)

the silver cone shaped things reminded me of a Tussie mussie holder. Its Victorian
I obviously posted this before finishing the video lol
