@@GoJohn7.62 Here is a link to the Playstation 2 Bios. As for extracting it. I use 7zip for all my extractions. Make sure you extract to (set file name and don't alter it) your destination. That goes for the PCSX2 and it's bios.
Just commenting to say that this is probably one of the best tutorials I've seen for emulators. Everything was clear, succint, well-spoken, no random tangents or unnecessary detail while still keeping all the bases covered; it was perfect. Absolute legend, dude.
I always rely on you for tutorials, and this is another great one. I have one tip for you though. You don't need 7-Zip to open zip folders. 7-Zip is only needed for extracting 7z or RAR files, but not zip. Windows 10 and 11 both have a built in tool to extract the contents from zip folders. As seen at 1:11, you click Extract All... Then you choose to extract it to your desktop. Also, man I'm happy to see PCSX2 version 2! It's noticeably improved from version 1.6

I just updated my copy of PCSX2 after ignoring it for like a year and man did they make a HUGE leap forward with this emulator! I have a Mac Mini and these games are working perfectly. I never thought I'd be playing PS2 games on a computer and yet here we are.

Your tutorials are the best man. Other RUclipsrs make 30 minute videos which could of been done in 10 minutes (like yours). I'm quite new to emulation so your videos have helped a lot. Can i just add that, when you've got to edit emulators in LaunchBox and PCSX2, by default the default the command line is --fullscreen and they've changed it to just 1 dash now but LB hasn't updated it so you'll get an error when trying to open a game through LB. You just delete 1 dash so it's -fullscreen and it works. Just a heads up incase somebody in the future is having the same problem. I've just spent about 40 minutes trying to find an answer on the net.
Yea I noticed i said that after watching it back but didn't feel like going back and re-edit the video. But I think people will notice that 5k is the max.

Thanks for this video! I had to come back to it a second time as I needed to install an older version as well to play a certain game. Little did I know that you can have more than one of PCSX2 as long as they’re different versions. So, I have a newer one and an older one to play the games I want to play! Still have to add the BIOS separately but can pull it from the same folder, assuming you still know where that folder is lol

If anybody is trying to play a game and it says your card isn’t formatted and it won’t let you format it in game, back out to the PCSX2 menu, go to system, press start BIOS, and format your memory card through the PS2 menu. Easy peasy! Now I’m gonna look into a mouse injector for the emulator!

I was planning to buy a PS2, but due to being old, I am not sure if it will be worth it to spend the money there since I plan to buy the PS5 to play PS5 & PS4 games. Mostly I like from PS3 and on due to the collectable trophies, and the PS2 has no trophies, yet it has that cool childhood memory on me.

Amazing tutorial man. I had been using the 1.6 version for a while and was very very unsatisfied with it but found this tutorial for the dev version and oh my god so easy, so simple, so much better.
@@kyordannydelvalle523 It's an entirely different client and application, you could have both on your computer if you wanted. I didn't check if save files are transferable cause I had not played anything extensively enough. You'll just have to check yourself.
Thank you for clarifying the BIOS screen; when following your previous tutorial, despite it being very good, it gave me a pop-up that said I had no BIOS image, and I didn’t know what that meant, so I clicked on the American .bin file and hoped for the best. I am happy to see that I didn’t make a mistake.
Badass tutorial, Bravo! This recent PS2 emulator appears to be powerful. However, better sharply follow the toturial without any haste or things will be harder to figure out. The savedata can be also properly preserved and this will help us to not let our efforts go to waste.

6:14 highest resolution isn't actually 8K. It's a 5K resolution that's the result of a multiple of an 8x integer scale of the PS2's native resolution.

If you want bios go to vimms lair and then to emulators and go to ps2 and there should be a little get bios button
