If you don’t want to live like the rest of society then don’t, but don’t be trash for the community. Where the hell did they get furniture?!?
I run and ride my horses in the desert for the past 10 years now and there is a true homeless man that lives out there. He moves his tent with the weather and he cleans up the garbage that other people dump out there. He lives with nature and never asks anything of the people that cross his path.
These people aren’t homeless they are LAZY.

Why do you hate America's Veterans? Did you even bother to watch this report?
No. You just came here to spout your nonsense, otherwise you would have seen that the LASD is helping the homeless and they got a Navy Vet to accept finding treatment for his horrible medical conditions at the Veterans Hospital.
Maybe you think anyone who put on the uniform and then suffered PTSD is lazy? If so you should leave America.

He’ll be complaining a lot more once his lungs start filling with fluids and mucus from COPD if he has no healthcare. Every breath becomes a gasp for air, until he drowns really really really slowly. I’ve seen quarts of fluid being withdrawn daily from COPD patients lungs during their final days. And that’s WITH proper healthcare, I’d rather take a bullet to the head, it’s that horrific. He smoked for 8 years, he can quit, first couple of weeks are the worst I believe. I smoked for 15 years and quit New Years Day 2000.

Addicts are compulsive liars. Let's get real they had to be good liars to continue to live this way even before addiction finally rendered them jobless and homeless. According to LAHSA, the vast majority of homeless are from LA but if you live here and deal with these guys sleeping in cars with out of state, expired plates with dialects, accents and slang from different parts of the country or even another on, you know that's BULLSHIT.
Ask them where they were born or grew up, they would tell you a tall tale about how they are locals and knew all these famous people, how they used to be a dr or lawyer or a vet (lots of stolen valor) just to get some brownie points. Nobody wants to accept the fact that its mainly strung out addicts that come here for this homeless strung out slacker lifestyle.

It is amazing the amount of garbage broken down furniture tarps the homeless can move overnight.. then we watch helplessly as the encampments start to grow then the smell starts and you start noticing the rodent population grow then one day they are blocking the sidewalk and next thing u see is a Fire engulfed tents and garbage.. seriously and u email the council member only to get a computer generated response telling you to use the 311 response line. THATS IT NO MORE TIME TO RECALL EVERY LA CITY COUNCIL MEMBER TIME TO TAKE BACK THE CITY

California has a law that you can't move the homeless people unless you have a place to put them... otherwise all you're doing is pushing them from one neighborhood to another and that really isn't fair to anyone, especially the next neighborhood 🤷‍♂️

Why doesn't this country make reservations for the homeless? We've done it for the native americans and internment camps for 110,000 japanese americans in 1942. Start with Slab City.

When will it become illegal to be homeless and without work? Is that the plan? If the state ignores the problem long enough and the annoyance too great, it will be the American solution. People will be imprisoned and will be able to become profitable for the private providers of prisons and institutions.

Well, you make life easier for homeless people they will stay homeless.
You make beign homeless hard they will try everything they can to get out of such situation, and will do.
Most of these people are homeless by choice. Drug addicts, alcoholics, plain lazy folks etc. Just assist them and they will keep taking your assistance and will stay homeless.

There are homeless (aka street dwellers) seemingly everywhere. Is this the new trend while there are thousands of jobs unfilled that pay very well. The TSA is short help, grocery stores need workers, shippers can't find enough drivers, restaurants need cooks and servers and the list go on. It appears it's becoming easier to panhandle with a cardboard sign than it is to work and take responsibility for your life. One thing is crystal clear.....more free programs, handouts and city provided places to flop are not the answer.

I had to pay a homeless person to move their tent last time I worked in Venice. $40! To move out of a parking space in front of someone's home I was working on, because the cop said it was a "civil matter".fml

I don't like talking bad about people but most homeless people just don't want to work , next to my job there's homeless and I ask some of them why you don't get a job you look young and they said why do I want a job if I get a government check every month .. My solution to the problem is take away there paycheck so they can look for a job.

If it weren't for the fact that nearly all these people are on drugs I'd feel sympathy for them. It's not like it use to be where homeless people are just temporarily down on their luck, it has become the cool thing to do. Most of them are kids getting free food, free medical care, free clothes, drugs, and now free housing. As long as we reward bad behavior this situation will keep getting worse.

Flamethrowers and garbage trucks. Get some front end loaders to scoop the burnt poop so to speak, then compact them and their garbage in the trucks. Take them to a landfill and cover it over. It should happen in every major city across the nation.

It doesn't matter if you it's a PR stunt, at least they are doing something to address the problem. The state tax us more than enough to build these homeless people their own city. Tired of paying premium to only live with homeless right around the corner. Sooner than later more tax paying and high income citizens will move out of this state.

This not a police issue, it is a public service conundrum. We need to address this with counselors and social workers. Our society needs a department of social works as cops are not trained or equipped to handle these types of problems. All the cops can do is arrest someone, and that's not a solution to homelessness.
