@@sabbyd1832 The famous British fashion and high society icon Beau Brummel was banned from Whites after he failed to pay a gambling debt recorded in their club book in 1815. It was the beginning of the end for him. Heavily in debt he was forced to flee the country to avoid being thrown into debtor's prison.
I grew up on Palm Beach and live on CPS, NY. For me, going to the breakers was like going to McDonald’s. Drive up, valet and have lunch on the beach. They do have the best lobster bisque I’ve ever eaten. I can say from experience though, that these scenes are far less diverse than presented. The most you’ll see of diversity, especially in Palm Beach, is across the intercostal on Clematis street, where the private college kids intermingle with the residents of the Lake Worth ghettos every weekend. That said, the wealthy tend to party between Wellington and The Island. The “locals” don’t really venture onto the island bc of dress codes and tighter security.
it all goes back to venice and the oligarchy families. they controled world shipping and banking . their money is all in trust called the fondi . this allows the money to always grow and the families live off interest
If you don't like high school cliques or fraternities/sororities, you will hate those Old Money clubs, which have too many "rules" that outsiders consider lousy.
As a Yale grad I can confirm. It absolutely will. What used to be stomping grounds for the greatest minds are now saturated with the mentally ill and social outcasts with no real intellectual capacity to back up their inability to fit in with societal norms.
It's true... some people had just the family luck of never facing any revolution like in Eastern Europe and loosing WW2. They never faced the nationalization of family properties and cannot imagine themselves to become a gardener in there ow palace, like the last Emperor of China... I wish them the best of luck :)
7:15 I rejoice in the lack of filmed footage of one particular club. That's Paddington Bear crossing the lobby in the red hat by the way. The Reform keeps popping up in Bond films and all sorts. I note that you refrained from showing the sword/epaïs fight across same floor and up the stairs from one of them. Much more memorable and fewer pipes too...
I grew up on Palm Beach Island. Graduated from Yale with a masters in CS. The Breakers was an every Saturday brunch occasion - meaning I’ve been a time or two. I also own a condo in Central Park South. I’ve frequented many of the aforementioned clubs in NYC. What I can say from experience, is that the number of “poc” present in these establishments is less than I can count on one hand at any given time - most are staff. The idea presented in this video, that the “tech scene” and “fashion” from the 2000s until now has been dominated by poc, and that these individuals are common in these scenes is a pipe dream at best. Of course you can always find a token here and there, but the serious brands aren’t affiliated, save a few “luxury brands” who’ve gone down hill over the last 10 years due to “DIE” mandates. Don’t be fooled. The life is not what’s presented in this video. At least from 2000 onward.
I've been in RAC and Groucho in London, and the Industral, Circle and Soho clubs in Amsterdam. Groucho was most exclusive. You needed to have excellent manners and an in-depth knowledge of English gentleman's values and customs and behave accordingly. But once you are accepted, it's all warm-hearted, generous and wonderful.
Well……they sure do have to expend so much time and energy……getting up early……going to sleep late……answering to so many people…..stress induced days…..worrisome nights…..drinking and parties to induce relaxation…..paying cars paying houses paying tuition paying fees and dues….paying paying paying….signing your signature to their ideas…..a patsy when they need it…..no thanks…..I like my peace my sleep and relaxation and comfort…..there are things money can’t buy…..but knock yourselves out……
I remember reading in former president George W. Bush book, he mentioned the Bohemian Grove Club but didn’t go into detail. I come from a family of Prince Hall Freemasons! We’re called Boulé to society.

The interior of The Metropolitan Club was used in an episode of Law & Order SVU where three members were involved in the assault, murder and coverup of a young woman that involved one of the member’s attorneys who had been enjoying the privilege of being a regular invited guest and the person who had cover up the incident.
@@jrcreator2257 all those countries are unstable or in "woke" regions, although Australia has a terrible anti mining/ farmer government at the moment too.
Australia has no culture. Certainly Australian men have no idea how to dress well or conduct themselves appropriately in a setting other than the local pub or football game.
Genuine question for you: are you ever filled with disgust or disdain for the utterly wealthy during the process of making your videos or documentaries
COMMENT: Have you ever been inside - or dare we say, are you a current member of - any of the private clubs listed in this video?
I'd like to know what it takes to get the boot and some gossip on who got kicked out and why
@sabbyd1832 Dominick Dunne's novel _People Like Us_ spills a little tea. Possibly a few others.

I can't speak for all clubs but your statement for many clubs is not true.
This video must have been recorded in Similie Central. Love it!
I have this feeling that the Harvard Club is going to experience a bit of a dip in both membership and prestige after this year.
Bye-bye Jewish Israeli money!

You should do a video on old money sports and their events and clubs

Several Soho Houses, Casa Cruz London and New York, you missed San Vicente Bungalows.
He's talking about others.
Clue's in the title.
The Old Money Families joins Magickal Clubs like the Hermetic Order and Skull & Bones or the Freemasons where they learn Ritual Magick

You should do a story on The Everglades Club in Palm Beach.

He can't get inside to film it.

The idea that the wealthy don’t have love, family and an appreciation for life is a misrepresentation.
The key clubs are obviously Knickerbocker, Union and Boodles. anyone who went to Harvard can get into the Harvard club.
The Union club is a joke. Truly the saddest of all the clubs

Thank you for the wisdom. I am seeking help to solve a big USA Supreme Court case...

I like how all the patrons of these clubs are multi cultural….. they are not. It’s mainly pale, male, and Yale

Sorry, I’m flattered but I wouldn’t belong to any club that would have me as a member.

Too UK and USA centered. Without Australias billionares and its mines and food production this world would stop as we know it.
Except for African mines, and US & Dutch food exports - since they’re the top in each category.

Looks like all stock photos and footage to me.
Good research though, seen through a bit of a wonky lens in my opinion.
Harvard club sucks
An incredible amount of BS in this
Agreed - not clear if this was made in AI or simply by someone who doesn't know what they're talking about.
Pure BS
