If "taping" was the problem, why would AA reps not politely ask Cenk to stop taping in order to board the airplane?
AA needs to provide an apologize, refund Cenk's ticket price & reimburse him fairly for his time & inconvenience. The two supervisors need to lose their jobs. The other non-boarded ticket-holder needs to be reimbursed equally to Cenk & also receive an apology.
AA needs to hold a press conference, preferably on the set of the Young Turks THANKING Cenk for bringing an intolerable situation to the attention of executive management , clarifying the corrections made & present policies regarding taping, the logic behind those policies and a full, truthful explanation of what took place that prevented a plane & crew from being in position for the scheduled flight that night.

American air lines is really crap.There service hasn't changed since 2006,when we put our bags through this safety check my mother brought gold with her,it wasn't a lot but it was still expensive in value.The bag was cut open when we received it,and the gold was gone.We were going to Aruba at the time so we had to go on another flight with American air lines.The guy was just like "Sorry ma'am there's nothing I can do." we never got the gold back.

Yeah I hated when American Airlines took over US Airways. It costs more flyer miles to get a R/T ticket now and there are very few flights available for flyer miles. I haven't even checked the prices yet.

Even before hearing about your problems, I had decided to avoid American Airlines as a result of an incident that threatened the lives of an entire airplane. The pilot flew into Costa Rica on a downwind leg at 200 feet above ground level and then banked a continuous descending turn on to a very short final approach. The pilot left no room for error and created excessive noise for the city below. As a former commercial pilot, I know that this pilot was taking risks with our lives for their own thrill.

Anyone who flies regularly has had their flight delayed. Stuff happens. That doesn’t give you the right to immaturely scream and harass people

You are a media person begging for money online, so for you being taped may not be uncomfortable, but some people on the street may even kick that shit out of your hand, if you film them without permission. I applaud the manager ladies kicking you out of the flight, as the staff(and other costumers) definitely felt uncomfortable around you, usually only Karens who desperately wants workers fired films the entire encounter.

I've worked for AA in recent years (2012-2013) and there was no such rule for customers. And I'm a policy guy. I learn it to use it. As for the employees, we made videos and took pics all the time with NO repercussions from crew chiefs or managers.

So did they kick you off because the captain didn't like you, or because you were filming? Neither one is an actual reason for kicking someone off the plane, and they can't even keep their story straight.

Idk asking someone to not film on a plane isn't bad service, its just making sure the majority is happy as many people do not enjoy being filmed while on air planes. Also its pretty obvious that filming isn't aloud and I think they would ask anyone to stop filming not just "people they don't like".

I've worked at for airport for more than 10 years and there is NO rule against filming. You can film anywhere except CBP immigration and customs area.

Is it just me, or do I get the distinct impression Cenk is the kind of guy everyone just wants to avoid. He's the kind of guy who thinks and acts like he's some kind of big mega-star, and acts surprised in public if people don't recognise him.
I suspect when he goes into the coffee shop for his Latte, he will be overly friendly in a loud "look at me" kind of way, grinning around the shop to seek approval from people, the staff will smile and put up with his bad jokes, and stroke ego a bit, then after he's made sure the whole place has seen him put $5 in the tip jar, he leaves. Then the other customers all chuckle and grin shaking their heads, and the staff all say to each to each other, "next time, you serve him"

i flew from sydney to Lax for my connecting flight to atlanta. i had to collect my bags and re check them. i flew american airlines my bags when checked in were perfect no issues or problems with them... when i got to atlanta my bag had been cut open and all my business suits and other items removed. when i reported this to the luggage manager at atlanta her words were " YOUR A TOURIST WHAT DO YOU EXPECT" which was recorded on voice note on my ipad.. it then took me 8 months to obtain a responce to a claim and it was only after i contacted the federal department of transport in america. their responce for over 13000 dollars worth of stolen items, which by the way was not covered by insurance claim as under the insurance code you have to be able to prove where the theft happened which you cannot if you have checked a perfectly packed and wrapped bag in once it is checked in there is " UNKNOWN EVENTS. was 751 dollars australian as American airlines subscribes to the montreal agreement which limits the amount of damages you can claim from an airline.. also within the same agreement it claims that you release the rights to have any civil action against the airline if they offer the punative damage payment

The amount of power now given to custom agents and airline staff in general after 911 is scary. The pilot of this plane did not feel "comfortable" flying with Cenk on board? This is bullshit. Like Cenk or not is besides the point. This is just another example of a over empowered airline employee abusing their newfound authority. American Airlines should be ashamed. Can anyone explain also why custom agents are now dressed almost like soldiers? How many customs officers have been killed on the American / Canadian border to justify such heavily equipped personnel? When screening you for entry, If they don't like your answer, attitude or face or just having a bad day they can use their power to seriously cause you grief. Going into the U.S. your phone can be searched and confiscated including your cloud data without any provocation. you can be delayed for hours screwing up any vacation plans over or even worse, you can be detained or charged! All because you answered a question in a manner that was not to their liking or in a submissive tone that enforces their authority. When did wee stop becoming appreciated customer who keep them employed? Screw flying!
You're entitled to a refund. Any flight delayed more than 90 mins or greater is refundable.

I'm guessing the personnel just wasn't informed. If they had decent organisation they wouldn't have had a 4 hour delay.
Their policy is to not let you film them, so instead of asking you to stop, they just let you stand there and do it for four hours and then kick you off of your flight without giving that reason. Seems legit.

LAX is a public airport and policy doesn't override the public rights to record in public places. I've filmed in a several airports and stood my ground when security has challenged me in the past on the issue and each time they have backed down. I've published those videos online so others can see how it goes and know what to expect if they film or photograph in public airports. Also the terminal is a public space with in the airport.

I don't like to fly anymore. As an 80yr old I could go so many places these days, however, flying is not what is was in the 50's, 60's and 70's. Flying is more stressful than traveling any other way. I think its the big bucks and the bottom line "money" that has changed everything for most of us who loved to fly in the past.
