Today, I have a kinda special, retrospective video for ya - it's about the phenomenon of modding for Bethesda games that is unique as nothing else in the history of gaming.
If you're a long-time Skyrim modder, today you will see how and why we made it so far through the history of TES modding, and those who never used mods for Bethesda games before - you will probably see why you should consider modding Skyrim even if you have never played this game to begin with.

the skyrim modding community is god tier for all of those reasons but also, for it's commitment to keeping mods free and being so much more friendly and helpful. as someone who has been apart of a few other modding communities (like minecraft and sims 4, etc. etc...) the skyrim community is like a super rare oasis of true love of the game. a lot of other communities' modders are just in it for the money, but with skyrim... people make these mods because they love the game that much and while some do have ways of making money thru their modding, they're never really greedy about it. I'm so glad that skyrim was my introduction into game modding, because I can only imagine how warped my mindset would be towards modding if I started modding thru a gatekeeping and greedy and entitled and hateful community.
anyways, that's why I want to say thanks for making videos and guides to help players like me out!

Can't imagine it without mods. Heck, without having made mods for Skyrim, I'd never be working on my UE5 game now!

i have a question for all the hardcore modders out there... i feel like modding is not anymore about emproving the game to have a better experience playing it, for me.
I keep modding the game just because modding has become the real game for me, i never play a modded playthrough for more than a few hours... And often i change the experience in the game so much that it's not the game i loved for many years anymore.
But modding is just so much fun that becomes the REAL experience... WDY think?

Skyrim modding certanly came long way. I modded skyrim countless times. This time i managed to mod my game better than ever. I have smooth performance, although i play on 1080 because my laptop can't handle anything above some things i learned this time and implemented as well resulted in stable game with almost zero glitches and zero crashes. I could go 2k but my performance would suffer.
