So, I spent the first years of my life growing up in this house, Andy. That room with the trundle bed used to house me and my brother, and I remember sleeping in a crib there. I'm 54 now. Place looks good. I rode my first pony solo across the yard and through the big maple trees into the field while my family watched from the porch to see me go. I rode my big wheel on the wraparound porch. We moved from there when my parents bought and renovated a similarly old home on the B Road in 1973. I was only 5 when we left but I have many, many memories there. I have a picture sitting on my mom's lap at the table in the kitchen near the stove that I love. And the upstairs bathroom hasn't been changed. I'm pretty sure my Dad made the cabinet that holds the sink. Thanks for the flood of memories.
Great home. Best charatecr is the wrap around pourch. Wonder what this property sold for? Good maple trees. I would add a few more. Great retreat land to relax meditate and get life into prospective. Flowers and butterflies would't be bad.
@@AndrewMooersmainerealestate Really great reading these fond memories. This house has alot of character and memories of all who lives there and had lived there I am looking for a smaller 3 bdrm home with character and similar type of pourch. I have subdcribed to your and will keep checking. Thanks for offering valuable realestate info. Kudos to your channel.
Fireplace is great, even if the brickwork isn't original. Our 1970s house has a basement wood-stove with brick surround, heats 2,000 sq/ft.! Hoping ceiling fans become obsolete. A floor fan pointed up moves air just as good and can be hidden behind a chair.
Ceiling fans can pull air up to cathedral in a hot summer and direction changed to push warmer air down in winter months. There are so many to select from... Thank you for your comment @LuciaConn !
I would buy this in a nano second except I already own 3 homes in 3 different states, and if I were 20 yrs. younger. I'm still looking for something for my Grandsons. I'll know it when I see it though.
IF { and that is a big if } you could find a place like this near where I live in Utah, you couldn't touch it for under $ 1,200,000. And no, I do not believe I am exaggerating at all.....
We have lower cost homes in your budget too.. like this one properties.ownmainerealestate.com/idx/details/listing/c529/1503612/1270-US-Rt-1-Road-Weston-ME-04424
A nice place. A pity it wasn't on the market 6 months ago before $$ became committed to other projects. Ah well, you keep showing good places, so perhaps there will be something in the future. Whoever gets this one will no doubt have years of happiness in it.

Peace Mr. Moore. Obviously northern ME wants every blade of grass measured and manicured or else the woods go on forever no worries. Plastic apples hanging on plastic trees. are low maintenance.
Maine is 91 percent wooded and Johnny Appleseed was pretty busy populated the farmsteads and woods of Maine with the real deal fruit. Thank you for your comment and stopping by @JamesDouglas !

We had three lens on this one... these are run and gun and designed to help house hunters see lots of property quick and easy.
