Wow!!!!!! Incredible BOOKS!!! The Golden Age stuff is off the charts awesome!!! I'd be interested in the Annie Oakley. I'm actually looking for a nice copy of Sub-Mariner 16 as well (mine is low grade). Just awesome stuff, congrats!
Love Four Color comics, and in general most of the ''funny animal'' golden age series. You've got some really cool stuff here, especially that Uncle Scrooge.
Hey James, how are you? You might want to reconsider cracking those older books. With the new CGC changes it’s going to cost you at least $150 to read each of those books. Even with the “wiggle room“ your time and the the non-guarantee of a grade bump doesn’t seem like it’s very much worth it to me. Be careful because you could really lose big time. Also, even if you get a grade bump, how much of a bump will it be? For a half a point or maybe even one point in some cases see what the dollar value differences it may. Not be worth it for that reason as well.
That Subby is a Mile High 2, which was just books that a guy was supposed to have been destroyed. CGC doesn't even recognize Mile High 2 anymore since it wasn't a pedigree collection.
Nice pick up - on the Mile High book - you may already know this, but that's from the "Mile High 2" collection which was a bulk collection the owner of Mile High Comics did in the early 80s - not from the famous Edgar Church collection of golden age books (which stopped in the mid 1950s).
1960s fluff? There's no such thing, even a comic from 1969 is approaching 55 years old and will only become harder to find, especially in decent condition. Black Orchid's Adventure Comics appearances really need to be collected into a trade if DC hasn't done so already. Is it Beppo The Super-Monkey? I really like the Gothic era at DC in the early 70s, with the Bat-books, Teen Titans and the short-lived titles like The Sinister House Of Secret Love. A very impressive collection James, the mind boggles thinking about what the original collection held.
I hate when people slab a book with an interior signature and don't take a picture of the signature to include with the sale. I've got a couple of New Mutants books with interior signatures from Rob Liefeld that I'll probably just leave raw instead of ever slabbing.
I never expected you to say that you were "terrible at X-men". Is that why I was able to pick up a copy of #104 from Phantasm the week after you went there? LOL.
That's an awesome box of comics man, well done,ps,I had 2 giant size X men no1s when I was 16 and gave my comics away to some younger kids as I stupidly thought I had grown out of comics, lol,I'm 60 in a fortnight and how I regret that decision, hahaha😢
Hey James, if you are pretty sure that ASM #50 is a 5.0 to 5.5, if you are interested in trading it...I have a Green Lantern #87 CGC 8.5 white pager that I'm willing to trade ya...maybe you can throw in another ASM raw comic to go with the #50. Let me know. I have #51 and a few other Spideys, I'm trying to add to my Spidey collection and I know how much you love Green Lantern.
*_That ASM 14:_* *_I think if you RE-ATTACH the piece, you can get the CONSERVED grade, that's Blue-Label with Grey bar on top._* *_You are not adding or replacing, you are re-attaching._* *_Get some opinions on this, sooner or later you will be Conserving comics, or as I call it: Preserving Comics. Not the same as Restoration. But get some opinions._* *_That Cap with a 9.4, it's grade is mainly because of the spine roll. It takes some practice to fix a spine roll. Now, we didn't see the backside, that's where you can really tell._* *_So, you rented a UHAUL and lost all that money? Strange situation. I had one too a week ago: someone who pretended to be emotionally attached to his comic books he was selling and jacked up the agreed price when I arrived. Mygahd that was a lot of fake emotions, veiled threats of doxing and even violence, when I passed on the 100% price increase. Then he realized who I was....and now I had to deal with a person in shock and "in fear of his life"._* *_Kids, don't do drugs and sell your/someone's comic book collection, m'kay?_*
I used to have copies of the #386 and 495 Uncle Scrooges. Regret selling because as a kid one of my favorite books to read....but still have reprints and later books.Good pickups. Always liked Shadow #1 Kaluta art... Believe still have a couple copies in stock.
Loving the content! I’m super new to the comic world. I’m just picking up what I like. Not sure what to look for in value. but I’m working on a complete Marvel Star Wars run.
What? What!? Holly cow man that's amazing what kind of magic did you use? did you have some great will power? What kind of Asgardian sorcerery did you use? Did you use the speed force to go back in time to get these books? Seriously congrats
I've watched quite a few videos, and they are pretty rough to get through. Personality just rubs me the wrong way. If other people like this stuff, great for them, I suppose.
I have to ask, but that Mile High HAS to be a Mile High II which does make a difference. Do NOT crack that one as it will lose its pedigree. Mile High II isn’t recognized as a pedigree anymore. Original Edgar Church Mile High books ended around 1955.
@@MintHunterComics I am working hard on becoming an expert in the realm of pedigree comics. I think I am up to 25-27 of the original recognized pedigrees and always looking for more. I hope to start my own RUclips channel where I discuss some of them at some point.
Would love to see a before/after video for the next batch you clean and press. Maybe even a video showing the entire process in action.
I audibly gasped when you told the story of that ASM #14 corner tear ... what a shame!!
Nice books and glad to see your an EAGLES fan !
Love the Four Color Uncle Scrooge!!!
I like how James flexes his new comics by using his powers to grow the size of the comics to really make us sink in the flex.
Love seeing ASM 50 in here
Nice haul.
That Sub-Mariner #16 is one of my favourite Silver Age covers. Amazing to see it in such high grade!
Careful with that dry cleaning bro. Heard they are getting purple labels these days. Sick pick up!
Another great pick-up. Can't wait to see that Sub-Mariner in the new Pedigree slab
And btw, you can always reach out on those X-Men keys my friend

When I purchased my CGC 4.0 JIM 83 in 2010 the seller said it used to be a PGX 7.0 so you can use that as a reference when comparing CGC and PGX.
Love Four Color comics, and in general most of the ''funny animal'' golden age series. You've got some really cool stuff here, especially that Uncle Scrooge.
What awesome books!
What a mad pickup!!!! Some of these books are worth thousands!!!

I believe that super monkey is Beppo. There's even a character in the Superman & Lois TV show with the last name Beppo.
I would LOVE to own a giant size x-men, definitely one of my grails..
the annie oakley is gold.
Wow, those are 3 BIG books back to back to back--GL 76, Batman 227 & Spidey 50! Great pickups!
Geez, if any of those make it to a claim sale, thats gonna be nutty. Great pick ups, my guy!

Did you happen to take any ‘before’ pics of the books you cleaned?? Curious how much grime and dirt is able to come off… thanks!!

I'm glad asm 101 got cold, I was finally able to buy one. LoL. Grabbed a mid grade slab for under 200.!! Should be arriving today actually.
Great comics man!👍

Imagine damaging an ASM #14 like that, and knowing it was a totally unforced error. I'd probably have to commit seppuku personally lol.
I never expected you to say that you were "terrible at X-men". Is that why I was able to pick up a copy of #104 from Phantasm the week after you went there? LOL.
Man thats tragic on that ASM book getting a tear. But you still got an amazing haul!
keep on hunting James!
Awesome collection

Great pick up James, you got some amazing stuff
those donald duck 🦆 comics are hot 🔥
Great books!
Congrats on wedding.
Great stuff!
Nice pickups! I’ll tell ya, as an X-Men fan, it’s no surprise it’s hard to remember X-Men lore, it is SUPER confusing and hard to keep straight.

How about a video on superhero battle covers like thor vs hulk or batman vs superman.

Wow these are mega books dude, my type of books for sure.
I thought CBCS won’t grade larger books like Gene Autry?
I would buy the morbius spidey. Thanks
I used to have copies of the #386 and 495 Uncle Scrooges. Regret selling because as a kid one of my favorite books to read....but still have reprints and later books.Good pickups. Always liked Shadow #1 Kaluta art... Believe still have a couple copies in stock.
Nice pickups. Shame what happened to that Spider-Man 14 removing it from the slab.
I have not been able to buy on your auctions, I don't see they chat feed, could you let me know how to participate?
Nice pick up. Shame about the ASM 14 though.
Did that asm 50 say 30?! Also man that rip makes you wanna cry on the asm 14, I’ve been after it for a while
Loving the content! I’m super new to the comic world. I’m just picking up what I like. Not sure what to look for in value. but I’m working on a complete Marvel Star Wars run.
Epic books in there. Hoping to buy from you soon!
Too bad you didn't get Scarecrow's 2nd appearance, that's a rare one to find. A signed Batman 227 is the best pickup and a personal grail for me.
I have Sub-mariner #16 . Mine is a raw copy, like a 4.0
I like the amazing spider man comic books there my favorite ones to collect
What? What!? Holly cow man that's amazing what kind of magic did you use? did you have some great will power? What kind of Asgardian sorcerery did you use? Did you use the speed force to go back in time to get these books? Seriously congrats
92nd St., I would even consider making a trade if you were interested
awesome! I am also looking after an ASM14
Those are some nice boots
Made for walkin!
Danm autocorrect
I have interest in the Gene Autry if you decide to part with it.
Hey James, I am interested in the amazing Spider-Man number 101. If you have any interest in selling it, let me know.
I would give my back teeth for Giant size#1 in a 2.0
I would love that asm 50 if you are selling! Please let me know!
It sold!
Hey man I’m really interested in that gene autry book. Let me know if you want to move it.
Great pickups 🤘🤘🤘
Sad to hear about the ASM 14, brutal mistake that cost thousands. Love the book, but Hulk kind of ruins it for me, he doesn't belong in that story.
So the guy lets you roll all the way to his with you having hired a van to then hit you with the news of the legal mumbo jumbo?
That is rough man.
Wow!
Nice 😊
ASM 14. Brutal.
coverless and first wrap at least.
I've watched quite a few videos, and they are pretty rough to get through. Personality just rubs me the wrong way. If other people like this stuff, great for them, I suppose.
I hope you don't come back with a tribal face tattoo after the bachelor party.🤣 unless of course you always wanted one.
grail materiel
I have to ask, but that Mile High HAS to be a Mile High II which does make a difference. Do NOT crack that one as it will lose its pedigree. Mile High II isn’t recognized as a pedigree anymore. Original Edgar Church Mile High books ended around 1955.

Try not to catch pink eye when the strippers sit on your face😂😅🎉🎉
Beppo!❤
Great video brotha pm sent
first love your content to bro! ❤
Unless you buy collections from younger people, I bet the books are not cleaned and pressed.
Almost better? 😂
Most sharpest? Shame on you. Double superlative....
Disliked!
Lol why
@@MintHunterComics Why not?
