I love seeing footage like this! I’ve never even heard of Red Mtn. before. What a great looking ski hill. I assume it’s still in operation (gonna go look it up) and I’m sure it’s considered a “local’s mountain” and not a “destination resort” if it is. But I’d travel from my home in the skiers paradise of Utah to check it out, that’s the kind of grassroots nutball skier I am!
You skiers are really something... : All that clear cutting of trees and electricity usage for lifts and snowmaking in a climate crisis world ! The town of Rossland was built by the mining industry. Norwegian miners brought skiing to Rossland. And now the towns people that inherited paradise on the backs of generations of miners is anti-mining with a mayor that is doing everything he can to bankrupt West High Yield. A company exploring and working in the area for almost 20 years. ruclips.net/video/KtwqeQAqVPA/видео.htmlsi=mI3LB3O8rzKjZaaQ

Red Mountain was awesome then and even more awesome today. One of the best mountains in western Canada.
