As a true novice trying to understand which direction I should go in, I REALLY appreciate your clarity and objectivity to help with my decision making. When I make my final selection I will return and click on a link associated with your posts. You deserve the payments.
Best review i’ve came across on YT - relevant key points, clear cut content with examples and authentically objective. Thanks for your help, more than willing to support with the links 👍🏻
Thank you, this was so helpful. I am really leaning toward Squarespace. I love how clean their templates look. I am moving from Wordpress after using it for many years and having designed many sites and child themes, but I am over the constant security issues, plugins breaking my sites, etc. I just want a blog that allows me to focus on blogging and not have to worry about the back end anymore. Thanks again!
I like Squarespace for portfolios and independent freelancers that need a simple landing page and wix for companies with employees and more robust needs, this distinction helps me decide between them. After working with both builders for 10 years, I now prefer Wix and find Squarespace limiting, but still a good option if you don't need too much customization.
Thank you for this video. I’m still stuck in between and I don’t know if you can answer this question. I hope you can though. A friend asked to build a website for her bakery just to show some examples of cakes and order cakes. Which platform would you recommend and which plan? I’m currently designing their digital Menu. I feel overwhelmed on choose a plan. I would like to make this as career later on. I’m totally beginner here. Any tips for a newbie? Thanks again. Loving your channel!
Weiter so!
Great insight, very helpful! I tried both and SS was just easier to use. I've never built a website before, yet, somehow, with SS, I just knew where to go in order to do what I wanted to do. Thanks again!
I have a question. Lets say you start with wix and get your domain and later you decide to go with squarespace or whatever, can you bring your domain from wix to squarespace or the domain belongs to them?
Sorry to say it Steve, but I was misled into thinking squarespace is the superior web builder coz you and some other web design experts prefer it. But I personally will recommend wix and webflow to any beginner who values flexibility and creative freedom.
What I find interesting your graph showing the top web builders shows Adobe Muse as the third most use. One exception, Adobe dropped Muse many years ago and isn’t use since then. Fact, Muse users went to Webflow after Adobe made the announcement they were going to drop Muse. So, I think your graph needs to be updated. Otherwise, impressive video.
I lost my entire day today, fixing Wix. For me, everything was complicated. Never did it, so, dominion, hosted... the language also its complicated. But thanks for your vid anyway!
@@stevebuildswebsitesFramer is a designers dream. Doesn’t have to built in business tools of a Wix or Squarespace but it’s pretty great, it’s basically Figma for web building
Squarespace let’s you manipulate CSS. Wix has their own JavaScript framework that lets you add features. Wix has more design features. Their app market is hit or miss though. Editor X is Wix but with more responsive controls. It’s a toss up to me
I don't know why you are comparing Wix with Squarespace in 2023; Wix has three platforms (Wix, EditorX, and Wix Studio); whatever you talked about, Squarespace, EditorX, and Studio have them, and a lot more.
Squarespace: squarespace.syuh.net/g1ydLr
Wix: www.sitebuilderreport.com/try/wix

I like how punchy and crisp your presentation is, keeping it focused on the flow! Thanks a lot!
This video, with the editing, sound effects, and everything was just great! Excellent production
Thank you very much!

Thank you tis was the best, most thorough comparison I've found and I've been researching for about 7 days now.

Great analysis of both options. Very thorough and well thought-out presentation. Thank you!
great video! just to add something , in Wix you can select and change the focus point of the picture as well.
This is the best YT tutorial I've ever seen in my life.
😊😊🙏🙏
Hii i am in canada small restaurant want to start subscription boxes for food using moneries what should i use
Your voice, the setup and your presentation are very professional.
Greetings from Barbados! Really enjoying your content ... can you critique the new Wix Studio features? Thanks in advance. 😊

Great to hear!
I've used Wix for years but am finding their tools and interface a bit clunky these days for simple page building. I'm rolling with Canva.
It is hard to choose to be honest I like square space as well more but to upgrade to an Ecommerce is a bit costly option though.
I have a question. Lets say you start with wix and get your domain and later you decide to go with squarespace or whatever, can you bring your domain from wix to squarespace or the domain belongs to them?
Good question - yes, both companies let you transfer the domain 👍
@@stevebuildswebsites thank you!
Great editing and very informative. By the sound of it, I might be leaning more towards Wix. Thank you for the professionally edited video.
very nice video, thanks for explaining this so thoroughly touching on all the points without rambling on and on lol. big thumbs up!

An awesome, super clear breakdown - thanks so much for this!
Can both support a multi-vendor marketplace?

That’s true the data is from 2 (maybe 3?) years ago. Good catch

Cool minded Analysis. Thank you❤
Loving the graphs!
This Video is very Excellent. Thanks for Video.
Very balanced and very helpful into for a beginner like me. Thank you for your work 🙂
Glad it was helpful!
Great video very well thought out!
Thanks for taking the time to say so!
Why Wordpress doesn’t appear on the list?
Because it's not a website builder
Great video! What do you think of Ghost?
Ghosts dosnt exist
I really like Ghost! Though Ive found it really only works for a very specific type of publication
Would you make video about Framer and Dora I just found them in recently. As a graphic designer their function was amazing!
I definitely have to check out Framer! I’m less familiar with Dora. Do you have any thoughts on them?

I’m comparing the Wix platform - not Studio or EditorX
Someone has been looking a lot at Webflow YT channel 😂
Haha I do find their videos inspiring!!
