Yes George do a chain gang video😊 because Rev Endurance Cycling NEVER stops on an endurance ride
ha ha wait until you see the video for this ride 😊
Love the Stormtrooper painting!
Thank you! We do too!
Sad bit of News, a cyclist got killed yesterday in North Park, a favorite spot for hundreds of cyclists just North of the city, when he rode over a downed power line. I heard they closed that section off but this guy must have thought this closer didn't apply to him or who knows what. The rubber on your wheels is not enough to insulate you from that much current in those lines. Anyway, Just thought it was worth a mention so people can think about that if they ever see downed wires ahead of them. Don't cross them. Just turn around and move away.
Thank you so much for sharing this tragic story- I feel like I wouldn’t think twice about rolling over power lines unless it was really obvious… I totally see guess that could happen. I’ve ridden in N Park quite a bit. Very sad for the person & their family.
That’s awful! Thanks for sharing
@@SeeYouUpTheRoad There was a more full report of this incident on the News this morning. The lines were found downed and live and smoking at around 8:51 am. The Police taped off the area and reported this to the DLC company. The power wasn't de-energized in these lines until 8:22 pm. Almost 12 hours. This area is the main entry point to the trailhead at the parking lot where the users park. By the time Police saw his body they realized they couldn't get to him until the power was off. But the thing that gets me is was the caution tape posted before Bob went through there. By the way his name was Bob and he was a school teacher known by many. I recognized him but don't remember interacting with him. I think the Police should have done more and posted an officer until the power was cut. There is negligence here on someone's part.
@@charlesmansplaining I completely agree!! That is totally nuts -- live wires need immediate attention or at the very least a real, live person to stand guard and protect others from harm. Yellow tape could mean anything -- a pothole; a metal grate; crumbling road. But live, downed wires? who on earth would suspect that. My condolences to Bob, his family, and his students. This is a complete tragedy that 100% could have been prevented :(
I know many bike paths are a good thing, but I'm terrified of being on them. Scared of somebody not paying attention hitting me head on
That paved path looks awesome. Reminds me of the one in Cape Cod.
It is really nice! It’s only about 9 miles but it keeps us off the busy streets. You don’t want to crash to the sides through there are really sharp rocks 🪨! 😂
great info! safety should always be the first thing. Also we don't flick elbows rather we put our arm behind our back and wave our hand left or right. Meaning if we are moving left we right arm behind and wave our hand left. and the opposite if we are going right.
Interesting I’ve never seen that! Where do you live and ride?
@@SeeYouUpTheRoad i'm in Winnipeg, mb Canada.
Awesome tip George.. love the stormtrooper painting 😊 Andy’s channel is great to yeah lots of waffling here in the uk 😅 Pete 🚴🏻👍
Thank you! Cheers! I’m watching more of Andy’s channel. It’s a shame what he went through at APN. But looks like he made lemonade out of lemons 🍋 after the fact.
And regarding the stormtrooper Jess’s sister hand painted it and brought it with her on the last visit as a gift. We ❤ it!!
@@SeeYouUpTheRoadJess's sister painted it!?! Damn George, you got lucky with Jess and her family!!
And great tip btw 👍
Wow Jess sister is very talented looks awesome 😊 Pete
@@MrSandperson0 I think it was a fill-in but she went all original!

@@SeeYouUpTheRoad that’s awesome man for which event? I’ve been subscribed for a couple years now! 🫡
@@ryanlozano6748 we’re in California. So we have done only the ones here in Cali. Last year we did one at Skywalker Ranch it was insane all the art in the gallery. Worst keep secret Anthony uses my REV ENERGY fuel. I ship containers to Miami and Mass on the regular!
Best Buddies such a top-notch organization... the more I learn about their operations the more impressed I become. I have this fantasy that one day I'll be working more with BB & less with my current corporate pharmacy employer :)
Hi George, I have been wanting to get my wife into cycling for years, but it hurts her hips (sorry, off topic a bit). Any suggestions to help with that?
That’s interesting unfortunately I don’t have any suggestions.
Shorter cranks limit the height that the knee rises at the top of the stroke. Riders that have hip impingement will step down to 165 or 160 mm cranks from 172.5. I switched to 165 from 172.5 and this helped me limit pain that would show up in my knees. Seems odd, but the impingement caused my knees to flare out at the top of the stroke and snap back on the down stroke. The repeated action produced knife-like knee pain.
Hammering on a "bike path" peppered with joggers, toddlers and dog walkers means sooner or later somebody is getting hurt, "coach."
