Saying Goodbye to Fiji! Flying Home to Alaska!

- Our trip to Fiji has finally come to an end. Today we spend our last few hours in this tropical paradise before beginning our long journey back home to Alaska.
This was technically the longest day we've ever had. Wednesday, September 28th ended up being 44 hours long and included TWO sunsets! What a cool experience! Despite it being an incredibly long day, it was super uneventful and we didn't run into any travel hiccups.

I’ve been completely obsessed with this whole Fiji trip Vlog series, but for some reason the airplane scenes with the pig jumping and stealing of each other’s food sparked so much joy! 🤣💛You two are so cute lol.

My husband’s brother retired in Thailand some yrs ago, and he was just diagnosed with lung cancer. My husband has been there before, but I wasn’t able to go then. He was supposed to visit us this year but first covid now his illness prevented him. So, we really need to go there soon, but though I want to see him I was terrified of the long travel time (I’m dumb, been to Europe twice and years ago to China, just feeling oldish maybe?) not to mention the heat...
You’ve both made it possible for me to imagine I can surely do this trip. So partly thanks to you two I’m all in, it’s happening. My husband is thrilled. Thank you so much for all your vlogs but this one was life altering for us. Thx for bumping me over the edge. Among other things we’re planning the whole tropical resort thing with our brother, his fam, and our adult kids etc, not a bit sorry about that! All the ❤️
What a wonderful trip. So sorry to see it end. So many vacations are so full of ‘go, see and do’s’ that you need a vacation at the end of it. Not this one! You two look absolutely refreshed and rejuvenated. ❤❤

You feel sad when you're leaving such a beautiful place I had the same thing happen first time I went to Jamaica I cried all the way home but that was because it wasn't reality if I lived in Jamaica it wouldn't have been special as it was. Thanks for sharing such a beautiful place with us! Now get some rest especially Sherri!
is it weird that I was emotional WITH you when you were saying goodbye to the bungalow on the last day? This vlog has been a highlight for me. Literally I couldn't wait to get home to "relax in Fiji" with you when each new episode came out! And this episode, I was like "nooooooo.. we aren't ready to leave! Your lucky you had an empty seat for your ride home. My husband & I always buy the third seat when we travel. It’s expensive but atleast we’re comfortable.
