The boring, ill-fitted sack suit (and the plastic ties) he wears is clearly an intentional decision. In the past he has worn a lot of elegant, well fitting clothes so we know that he knows how to dress properly. I think he dresses the way he does now to market the notion that while he is a politician, he's from outside the establishment and that the typical politicians suit to him is just a uniform that he would not rather wear. I think that this helps bridge the gap between his primary voter base which is more rural, white and conservative and perhaps are distrustful of more "stuffy" politicians. In this case: Function > Fit. Regardless, I have no stake since I from a different nation. :)
I can see that but if you think about it, most American politicians are wearing the same ill fitting boring navy suit. He would stand out much more if he wore something a little bit more sartorially inclined.

It's slow in the beginning, which may look very - veeeeeery long - especially to the creator himself, but it grows exponentially. It's just the nature of things. A bit of luck - or shall we call it Zeitgeist - at the right time will add to that. I've been watching this in regards to many channels in many genres. I discovered this channel maybe 15 months ago, and it had 800 subscribers. I remember that because I was utterly shocked. Since then, it grew sixfold, and in another 15 months, it will have grown sixfold again (at least), marks my words.

I like the fact that this isn't a critique of politics, hell it isn't about politics at all. Simply a video about style. Although I will say that Trump's style has become his brand, when you think of Trump you think of blonde weird hair, big red long tie and that blue ill fitting suit. It seems that it has become his "uniform" and stylish or not he does make it work.
I actually researched why politicians wear the exact same thing... they want to be as simple as possible to appear to be one of the people. Pinstripes... double breasted ... peak lapel .... 3 piece suits are out of the question. They see it a s career suicide.

Hey have you considered doing a styling video on Joe Biden? He isn't as "big a personality" as Trump (or as infamous fashion wise) so it may or may not get as many views but he definitely has a different demeanor than Trump so you certainly wouldn't be repeating yourself. and you could make styling presidents a nice little channel tradition (I am sure that will lead to lots of fun and polite comments).
