Just watched the first season, and I was right, it was absolutely amazing, seriously check it out it's a brilliant look at what our world would be like, and where it is heading, with synthetic humans, and it's downright terrifying but so interesting at the same time. I want to check out the Swedish version now, but I will hold this one in higher regard for introducing me to the show. 8/10.

Actually, it's something entirely different, it's about how robots will see us in the future. and what we will feel about them as individuals.
It helped me raise the question.... If we are worried about Ai and robots taking over the world, why aren't we worried about humans who will consider that all of us have been replaced by Ai (like the body snatchers) and with their paranoid delusions ...will they raise an army?
We're always so busy talking about radical Ai, what about radical Anti-Ai ..who are paranoid nutters. Like those people who say Obama, Eddie Murphy, Eminem and Oprah Winfrey are just clones....while the originals are dead, killed by the illuminati, lol >.>
AI is just an attempt to mimic how the human mind works. It will never become self aware. Sheesh, it's a program, a series of instructions being followed. People always tend to personify inanimate objects.

When we have machines that are not distinguishable from a human (and I say when, not if) we will discover how greatly we overvalued the human uniqueness. Both are good, but i prefer this to westworld, Westworld trying soo hard to be that one of those edgy anime AI awareness theme.
To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Westworld. The humour is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Dolores' nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into her characterisation- her personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realise that they're not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Westworld truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Arnold's existential catchphrase "These violent delights have violent ends," which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev's Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Nolan's genius wit unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools.. how I pity them. 😂
And yes, by the way, i DO have a Westworld tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand. Nothin personnel kid

Very high IQ? It's a TV show and it's one of the top and most rated, written by talented writers no doubt but written for the general public. You don't need a high IQ to understand the freaking show you just need to pay attention to it. Again it's a TV show it's not something written by let's say Heidegger. Ffs.

i know this tv show because of my general education class at my uni discussing the consciousness of human beings. After all humans are not as powerful as we thought. We overestimate ourselves. Perhaps Francis Crick was right, we are just a pack of neurons, nothing more.

Why have I felt like a robot or an alien all my life? I am successful in business and relationships, married, etc. But I have always felt like an observer trying to understand why they behave as they do and feeling that my actions are more mechanical when I behave like them too. Am I a soul that has lived on other worlds and this one is just not natural to me? Is this a known psychological disorder. I feel so different.
Modern take on reality! I definitely recommend West world if anyone likes humans. The androids are far more human!

I believe that most of these movies/series are derived from my favourite pass time ... ANIME !!! This movie is very similar to Plastic Memories the anime. The series aired in Japan between April 5 and June 28, 2015
Considering they aired the same time I doubt they got their idea from some anime.
