I think this is supposed to be the one about the lass, but I usually just interpret it to be about our Bonnie Prince.
No, this is the orginal song or most of it, the lass one are lyrics that were written for the show. Claire is gone back in time where she is now merry ..she is home..
the tv soundtrack lyrics were changed for political reasons , obviously, original skye boat song is scotlands most famous jacobite rebel song, disguised as a lullaby
