My daughter introduced me to your group about 6 years ago, she passed away in December. I have finally found a bagpipe player in Colorado that can play this and Scotland the Brave and a couple of other at her services. Thank you for your music that is loved so much.

Richard Underwood I completely agree with what you are saying because I am part Scottish and I play the base and tenor drums in a Bagpipe and drum band and this song makes me feel proud of my Scottish ancestry and it makes me feel proud to be part Scottish and the music stirs my blood as well.
American here with Scots-Irish ancestry. I live in the Alleghany Mountains of Virginia, and when I see the rolling hills of Scotland and Ireland, I feel like I'm home, and that's what my ancestors must have felt when they immigrated to these mountains.
The music of the old country is preserved in the fiddles and songs of the Alleghany hill people. Research has shown that the music of my mountains is the music my ancestors brought here. The language we speak, especially in the mountains, is the language from the King James era of history. Even though I have never visited the old country, my soul receives a little familiar thrill when I hear this music.

Wow I have never met anyone else who thinks like me. I was a little girl and dancing to bagpipes having fun. I had to leave with the rest of my family. Wicked step mom claimed the pipes were so horrid sounding they gave her a headache. I think its beautiful.

So i like the movie Outlander we visiting Scotland last year. some lokal people give use an idea to visit real points of interest. Example graves from murray and fraser and the clan homeland. Helpful people to see more than usual visit points. sorry about my grammar 😊

My Husband and I have seen them live at the Celtic Festival and Highland Games at Mt. Hope Estate and Winery, in Pennsylvania which is held in June. They are truly incredible to see perform. I was not aware of all my UK connections but God's grace had me raised in Venice Beach CA by Irish and Scotch babysitters straight from the old country so I attended the Scotch games every year in Santa Monica and my babysitter's son played bagpipes and her daughter won the national Irish dancing competition and got to fly to Belfast to meet her Grandma for the first time whom we used to pray for at tea time after school every day to survive...

I RAN ACROSS THIS GROUP LOOKING FOR SCOTTISH MUSIC ON RUclips and thought they were awesome. Then i took a trip to Grandfather Mountain , NC for the Scottish Games and HERE THEY WERE on the stage!! I never expected to see them in person. And it was sooo worth it. The tribal beat was good for my soul. It peeled back the layers releasing more of my authentic soul. I had such a great time under the stars at night with their band. See them if you can.

Born and raised in the Highlands of Scotland all my people are Highlanders. I now live in USA but my hert will a lb ways be in Scotland.

My family is about 50% Scots-Irish and 50% French. We were among the first to go through the Cumberland Gap with Boone and the early explorers. My dad's family was French and had some of the earlier "runners of the woods" among them, from whom we gather our Native American heritage. We're Americans! That is what America is all about, fierce people who worked together and survived tough times. God, I love the pipes!
