I've thought about this, if they had given him a missile launcher instead of the tentacles, it would've been way cooler. Not that I'm not into tentacles or anything.
They could give him a rocket launcher that can be used on tier 3 but makes him regress to tier 2 when he uses it. Another idea is giving him two types of tentacle attacks, side sweep with very short range but ability to hit multiple survivors and a thrust with longer range that hits single survivor, instead of that dumb whip like attack that doesn't fit him at all. He also has cool AoE attack in REsistance/REverse that attacks every survivor in sight with tentacles from ground, would be good as a short slowdown.
It's always been casual ASF to be fair to the devs/community. But, I get your drift. It went from a casual buggy fun fest to a baby casual shitty fun fest.

.....The devs have stated that they changed the weaker/powerful add-ons in most of the weaker killers: Pig Legion Myers Hillbilly Nurse Oni Ghostface Hag Wraith So hopefully it makes some of these slightly more viable.
It can be frustrating to be doing a generator only to have to stop because the killer is approaching. So we've removed the ability to walk from all killers. This lets the survivor engage the killer in more strategic ways.
Yeah This Nerf both does nothing against bad survivors while making sure she is just a worst Wraith against anyone with ears and a brain. Lets be honest though this was inevitable, Spirit has been in their crosshairs for a while now, considering what they did to Nurse they were NEVER going to allow Spirit to dare stand in her current state. I suspect after this they are going to be lining up to fire at Blight aswell, since they seem to be on a warpath to destroy the killers who can actually have a fighting chance against good survivors.
i agree, but i would like to point out that standing still making it a 50/50 is not very skillful or fun to go against. That said, this nerf is way too much. A slight adjust to her standing still would have been enough. I think tru3 had suggestions for that already. I try to play both sides, but i do play survivor more, but i dont get why its needed to nerf her this hard. I was having fun facing her, just the standing still thing is cheap. Like, i dont care about a killer being strong as long as its fair if that makes sense.
At this rate the next survivor perk will probably be the ability to invert the killers mouse and keyboard while spraying a corrosive liquid in their face

I feel like this is why there are so many salty/entitled survivors; the devs cater to them when they feel like something isn’t fair like Spirit and then the killers get the short end of the stick, but when killers think something is unfair it’s too bad or it takes forever to change.
For real like literally the devs are so survivor sided they could care less on the killer side if there’s something that’s unbalanced for killer or something that isn’t right but when it comes to survivor these entitled survivor mains have the devs at their back pockets they can get anything they want with just a click of a finger it’s madness
im not a survivor main, i play both sides. But i find it bs how whenever you drop a pallet on the spirit, they can just phase and then your practically powerless with 0 counterplay.
yup remember the Breakout perk exploit, that permanently destroyed hooks and how every survivor including the devs said that its not an exploit it was intended? Only to take an eternity fix the perk when enough RUclips videos came out showing how exploitable it is cuz every survivor can run it and becomes beyond exploitable with SWF? Escape Simulator 2021 ...I never thought that I would agree on that statement but they really want to make the game easier for survivors - in a game which is already mostly survivor-sided, that´s beyond imagination. Fuck bhvr for that, I really hope VHS will stomp dbd to the ground like Deathgarden.

I play on Low settings myself, and I’ll admit, although I mostly use it for performance, the clearer vision is an incentive to use it. But I’m not sure about this change personally. Directional sound could work out, but the dust from the footsteps I disagree with. Not seen it yet of course, but I feel like that will make her far too easy to counter on some maps.
Spirit is so unfun and unhealthy for the game I hope she will be honestly so bad that myers will be used more. If you don't agree you are yourself not good for the game as Scoot Jund said in the past when the old legion was a problem and IMO spirit is not more fun in any way than the old legion. If you want to play a good killer try Nurse, this thing accually REQUIRES SKILL to play unlike the japan girl for braindead losers and I am a killer main, so your 'that's what a tipical survivor main would say' argument is worth nothing.
Next patch: "Nurse teleport speed is now 2x slower, she can only teleport to where she can see, and if survivors look in her direction before she teleports, it will interrupt the Nurse and stun her for 10 seconds." This game keeps shitting on killer players. Soon there will be none left. I, for one, plan on moving to VHS when it comes out.

why assume so much? we have no idea how the directional phase will play out, no idea how addons were reworked. stop freaking out before you played with the changes.
Survivors now can basically see you when you phase but you can't see them, the spirit cannot see the dust that's survivors leave but survivors can, she now just gets a small sprint burst with the huge draw back that you can't see the survivors. Yep it sucks the all point of being invisible and survivors had no idea where you are coming from was thrown outside of the window. At this point it would only be fair if she got more clues of where ethe survivor is at when phasing
I think this change is dumb i dont play spirit so im lucky but i feel bad for anyone who does…if they’re nerfing this much spirit should be able to see survivors fazing in and out while in her special that way she gets the benefit of going fast and seeing maybe then itll be salvageable
@@orange756 Honestly I wouldn't mind if they took spirits ability to hear while phasing because I got used to running against iron will survivors but survivors could use grass movements as well I always enjoy outmind gaming spirits as it was considered a challenge & killer favored on the mind games. Definitely seem the devs aren't considering both sides. Survivors know have 2 indicators one that's literally going to always give away position in phasing so RIP mind games, phasing only going to be used for its add ons/traveling across the map.

If you already have the game, just play to farm...Don't waste your energy trying to get wins even if you play with low skill survivors. Aim to farm and get the free characters P3 and only get the paid perks in the shrine instead of wasting your money purchasing DLCs...
One of the smartest things I did this year was to quit this game, now seeing these things just makes me happy because they are destroying their own game and will reach a point where no one will want to play killer anymore... I'm sorry if you love this game, but to me... after so much pain and stress... this is just good to see.
i’m kinda right there with you, i really quit about a year ago, i enjoy watch tru3 and otz play, but between the devs and toxicity of the community i had to get away. i feel much better personally not playing this game anymore even though i do miss it.

Next update: Once you have finished all the generators, you may now sacrifice the killer. Boons Cleansing Hex: Ruin now allows for passive generator progression. Cleansing Hex: Lullaby now enables auto Great Skill Checks. Cleansing Hex: Haunted Grounds stuns the killer for 15 seconds. Cleansing Hex: Devour Hope grants an extra hook state. We hope these changes really raise the skill ceiling for killers and gives them a sense of pride and accomplishment.
Suddenly i find this game being less and less enjoyable with all these new changes. MMR being scuffed then nerfing another killer? game is becoming way to easy for survivors in my opinion.
Crazy, this is the best mid chapter update we’ve gotten. Spirit has needed a nerf for awhile now. Trapper has needed a buff we might see more of him being played now, and as for the add ons and perks nothing that’s meta changing or game changing has been implemented or seen yet so the game is still where it was before this news released lol.
@@TwistedTendencies1 I mean, not really. Just because survivor gameplay doesnt really evolve too much past a certain point doesnt make it brain dead. You still have to make decisions and if you made the right decision you get a reward for that. Spirit completely removes that gameplay where you have to guess. Essentially, the way the game is set up: 1. survivors start out dying a lot and when they get better they die less and less 2. killers start killing people a lot and when they face better and better opponents they have to get better. This logically would lead to the conclusion that survivors would eventually have an easier time getting 4 man escapes, while they start out barely having single escapes. Also logically leads to the conclusion that killers would have a very easy time killing and they get bigger challenges the better they get. Spirit players didnt need to learn shit even when they faced better and better opponents untill they reached really high ranks. I've seen Spirit players perform decently on extremely high ranks, while barely knowing that hooking a survivor in the right spot would give them a massive advantage(aka, next to ruin within a 3 gen), because she didnt need to. That's a problem no matter how you try to twist the logic. You're playing against players, those players also need to have fun.

Meanwhile Killers can just stack multiple regression perks and busted ass add-ons and win every single match. Killer is harder than survivor, so many bad Killers call the game unbalanced when they lose because they aren't used to losing. It's amazing how many killer players throw a temper tantrum when they lose their first match in 20 games
Boon totems seem like a really bad idea. The killer objective of hooking survivors already takes a long time. Now if killers have to look for totems that’s just obnoxious.
Honestly, they should just make boon totems get destroyed after a set amount of time, like 1 minute. However if the killer happens to stumble upon the totem, the killer can destroy it before the allotted time limit. Ngl tho, boon totems terrify me
My worst case worry, Boon totems are only destroyed when the survivor who brought it dies, and boon totems apply to all survivors, and their effects stack. Example: Adds 1 second to the killers stun duration. Survivors bring 4 adding 4 seconds to any blind, stun, fatigue that killer gets.
Well here's the thing I assume they will more than likely only be a personal buff, because survivors can have a total of 16 perks and that's alot for the killer to keep track of if they're team wide. They could also be proximity based too but who knows. Seconds of all, they're only 5 totems on the game. Alot of Hexs now need full totems to activate or turn Dull Totems to Hexs (Haunted Grounds, Pin Head Hex) and you can also equip 4 normal hex totems + Hauntsd grounds and have all 5 totems lit. So what if all 4 survivors decide to being at least 1 Boon totem? I assume they're just gonna activate all the dull totem locations and have like whatever many are on the map, which could make totem placements crazy (and also a Thrill of the hunt change because it was based on the number of dull totems available). Killers just got Scourge Hooks as well which could be just as powerful too but we domt know what they will do until time tell.

It only makes her easier to counter and go against that is *LESS* skill needed to go against her. If you don't need to play a match differently around her and use different strategies and tactics that's just called bread and butter gameplay and everyone can do that, basic stuff To me having more ways to counter her makes less effort needed on the survivors side meaning less skill needed to vs her not more, idk what the hell the devs are going on about. Spirit herself will have to try harder to trip people up and skill needed to use her will increase there as a result as you will need to be on point with phases now and double backs as they know exactly where you are now. So this means no chance of grabbing on gens anymore by playing it smart and standing witin 24meters of it. You can't beat loops anymore since tey always know if ur phasing, also ur running at 110% speed so just running around a loop instead of phasing is tough. For me personally these are the 2 biggest impacts and i think ill drop spirit until over 3 years when they might buff her again.
Spirit is still faster when she's phasing. Her catchup speed is still the same. Yeah, survivor knows you're phasing but that information is only slightly useful to them. You're still overwhelmingly faster. If you're so trash at beating loops that you crutch on making survivors guess where to go then holy shit you need to up your game.
@@onemuststand7353 The directional sound was needed and beside whine Tru almost everyone agree it wasn't OP for survivor in the beta. It will mostly affect bigger loops, on small pallet loops it won't change much, she's likely to reach you before you notice her going around and have time to vault. Same goes for the dirt thing. Also it's laughable when he say they only show the strongest add-ons changes. For demo they showed us "Lifeguard Whistle" a purple add-ons showing survivor near portals without the need of charging "Of the Abyss" while they kept "Black Heart" and "Barb's Glasses" hidden and both those two are way more useful than Lifeguard Whistle.
I think it would be great idea to add a game feature where the competitive game mode changes when you reach a certain rank. Maybe getting to the iri ranks or the one lower than that should make the game a bit harder for higher ranked survivors by adding more objectives. This way, killers would have more chance at the top ranks without having to harm the experience for lower ranks.
@@acaprogamer6561 I absolutely agree. Me and my friends started playing this game just for the thrill and fun it brings. But it is what it is though. Kinda natural for a PvP game to have players that starts to become competitive the more they play the game, which the devs need to acknowledge. I think it's an inevitable adjustment that had to be done if the game were to move forward and compete with other games.
This; this is EXACTLY why I never got into using spirit. I KNEW at some point, they would nerf her into the ground and make her pointless to use. They already hurt me with Oni, I was so happy for that killer, then he got hard nerfed into mediocrity. I wasn't going to let them do it to me again. Can't wait for the next update for half the killer population to drop.
To be fair, Players like Trutalent, Scott kind, and many others have exposed how easy it was to counter her. The only thing is the disappearance that makes her strong.

I got mad at the devs for nerfing us killer mains, I got angry and just stopped playing and it was painful. I love this game so much, I usually play it until I fall asleep. They nerfed Spirit already, the nerf suck but she was still the second best killer in the game, and the best chaser. But now they gone way too far, even Pig, Clown, Twins, Trapper, Demo. Why did they have nerf our perish Rin Yamaoka?!?!😭😭😭

All Spirit needed was a clear "I am going into phase" animation. No more "coin flip" stand still "mind games" but still a strong killer that makes you loop out side the box for a more interesting match. But ofc instead they just behead the killer and burry her like they do with all killers that survivors feel are "tOooO StRoNg"

@@baseballfan4877 The whole ‘chainsaw’ changes was just a F to billy mains. Billy was a decent killer with a power that encourages people to patrol gens, not camping. Before the changes, I love playing as or against billy because most Billy won’t camp. Definitely stressful against him because of the patrolling speed but still more exciting than being chased full game and camped on one hook. I guess shitty toxic gen rusher just can’t deal with his old chainsaw.😞
This is getting worrying. Now survivors have more information than the spirit. They have noise, spirits footsteps, sound manipulation, scratch mark manipulation. It might no longer be both sides trying to read one another. Now it looks like spirit would be the only one making guessing games. Even worse if on indoor maps or survivors with low graphics and stretched res. This nerf was massively unnecessary; all she needed nerfed was her standstill mindgame and some add-ons.

standstill wasnt even that good of a mindgame if you knew how to counter it, her glass shines whenever she phases, spirit would have to phase for a little bit to actually get you to leave the loop, and at that point she wouldnt see where you were going

I like the Tru3's community. It really does understand how bad this update is, concerning the Spirit. That's not what I see by other streamers where people're mostly low-skill brain-dead humans, playing only survivors and rejoicing when any killer nerf appears
Okay, so I get that, mathematically speaking, the survivor base is roughly 4 times the killer base at any given time. But that doesn't mean that you should prioritize survivor power over killer fun. If killer sucks, then people will stop playing it. Quick math quiz... What is 4x0?

@Boneits, but if killer sucks to play, no one will want to play it any percent. You see? You understand how that works? This issue is not about killer mains not playing. It's about no one wanting to play killer. If survivor were to become less popular, then there is at least an option to balance around three survivors if they really need to to make lobbies. But there's just the one killer and you can't go down from one. No killers means no game. The expectation cannot be that people will just have to play killer even though it's no fun. It's not a job. People won't do it just so survivors can run around t-bagging. If no one wants to play killer, the game just stops happening.

Honestly, I feel like 2 kills and 2 escapees is the most balanced ending
That key rework is looking as real as a unicorn, and I'm sure the current roll-back and increased blood points to temporarily fix latency issues until a real fix comes along will become permanent instead.
Keys need a different rework than Spirit. They would need to rework the way the hatch works against all killers without breaking it, aka, the new key needs to be fair against all killers. Spirit is just 1 killer and survivors are simply reskins, its much easier to make balancing decisions about spirit than keys. Adding on top of that, that they want to rework Mori's too, and they probably want to release them together.

I dont think this statement is accurate lol this change does suck and they could have buffed a different killer but survivors have it hard too the solo players anyways because of the mass influx of camping and tunneling has gotten 50% worse you see it pretty much every match now …both sides are unhappy with the changes I actually liked spirit players because it took skill to use her and now shes gonna suck with the changes….it gave variety to the game is what i mean with her
Really, thanks all changed before, special MMR system destroyed this game, now nearly every killer is camper or tunneler, so survivors has worst and worst chance to survive. This change is great, cos spirit was really OP and even a real pro survivors cant win agains pro spirit. Now they can and its really good change.
@@zacharyspoole Camping and tunneling only hurts the killer even if its the killer doing it on purpose (too close lose points!) and the only ones who lose to those kinds of killers are very bad survivors....and as a survivor main, 3-4 gens can get done before the survivor on the hook will die and all 3 can go hover around hook and save the survivor and since the killer wants to play stupid we all just body block and let a different survivor get downed/hooked so he wastes more time camping and we just heal up, do the last gen, or even break glowing totems (most campers tend to use NOED) and either we all escape or 3 of us escape....regardless of outcome we call the killer trash.... Camping killers are the easiest to beat, especially using toolboxes and Borrowed Time...and dont get me started on bringing in BNP's....
As an ex-Spirit main, this breaks my heart. I pretty much keep playing this only because my friends do. Personally, the devs have too much bias to make this game fun on its own for me anymore.
@@swish3767 my win/loss ratio both with and against her was damn close to 50/50, which doesn't seem like a situation that requires balancing. Unless you want to call my personal experience a delusion, I'll need a better argument to change my perspective. (On the low fellow killer main high five, though lol)

No! Leave the Nurse alone. She suffered enough! I hope they don't nerf her good addons( recharge and range) and make the other addons more useful. But by judging the way the game keeps heading, I'm afraid they will do something that will make her less powerful too.
RIP Spirit. It's sad tbh, she isn't even broken, she is strong but with these nerfs she is gonna be useless. With these changes they should just make her 115% movement speed...

When they added MoM, I knew that they didn't care about how strong survivors are or can be compared to killer. Of course boon totem perks are going to be insane. Also I heard that the survivor gets to pick what totem to put the boon on, while killer still has to deal with hex spawning on totems nears gens.... Yeah, no favoritism at all.....
mom was changed super quickly and made pretty much useless. all recent perks released, talking about the last 2 years or so, were balanced on release or too weak, original undying being the only exception but even that got changed very quickly.
No, the most irritating part is most of the player base are delusional survivor mains so we who try see the imbalance through unbiased lens are just seen as that crazy minority for using common sense. So the game will continue to thrive overall until somehow the dev team manages to get a clue which is not likely.

Behavior: Next update nurse can no longer blink through objects and has 1 blink charge base. Blight now has 2 charges instead of 5 for balance. Freddie now will be stunned by dream pallets oh wait umm now his snares will no longer slow oh yes forgot ummm I guess we will reduce his movement speed to 110 and his gen teleport cool down is now 5 minutes. Survivor base movement will be 110 sprinting will be 120 for balance
Kudos to the devs for attempting to fix a lot of things that were both asked for AND needed, but they could have thought about Spirit's changes a little more. Who okay'd giving Spirit basically no information at all while phasing and at the same time granting Survivor's a veritable smorgasbord of it? All they've done is switch who has to guess what the other side is doing in a chase, which is made even worse of a decision when you consider that Survivors can also run stuff like Iron Will and other information hiding perks that'll likely remove literally all information from her. Obviously we can't know exactly how effective these changes are in a match until they're added, but the idea is just silly in theory.
Spirit was fine a year ago. Now shes quite literally dogshit. They keep gearing the game towards first time players and survivors. They destroying their own game and they dont even care. its sad, but they deserve nothing less than losing it all at this point

I think the phase sound should be at least 10 meters so I know whether she is actually phasing or just faking it. I honestly like playing against spirit expect for the fake phasing trick lol
I'd prefer the directional sound instead. I think the nerf is justified and needed because - as the devs said in their post - versing Spirit is basically a coin-flip and little else BUT seeing her footsteps takes things a bit too far. All I wanted was for survivors to know when she is phasing so that her "stand still, get free hits/grabs" bullshit finally stops. Knowing where she is will hurt her massively, on some maps (where you will be able to clearly see the kicked-up dust, Ormond and all indoor maps come to mind) probably more than on others. The directional sound is an idea I can get behind though, it tells survivors if she's using her power and roughly tells them where she is but they still need to make a read, e.g. "Do I vault that window? When do I vault?", "Do I drop the pallet? When do I drop it? Should I vault it right after I dropped it in case she phases to the other side?" We have to wait for the PTB I suppose but yes - I think this nerf is gonna kill the Spirit off as an S tier killer and drop her down to... well, let's wait and see how hard her add-ons will get hit.
the sound was good enough, the dust is overkill but I don't think it will be that bad. They did say it will be tough to see in grass (by which I hope they mean impossible to see), but a good point I saw somebody say is that people will lower their graphics to see it better, which I hope doesnt work

(Killers can stack generator regression perks and busted ass add-ons and get carried to a high skill level without actually being skilled at the game, then when they finally lose to competent solo survivors they cry about swf and demand balance changes. The killer player race is far more toxic and far more entitled than the survivor player base, you're just more likely to see a toxic survivor since there are four against one. I've had far more Killers go out of their way to ruin the match for the survivors then vice versa)
@@gageowo9527 I've been harassed by survivor's who go out of their way to bully killers and not to mention to that survivors can run a four man. Gen regression perks like ruin is nerfed still good but nerfed, pop is pretty much the new ruin it had a slight nerf, thanatophobia isn't really that good, surge and overcharge are just gimmicks. Killers are meant to be in the power role and while some add ons are kinda broken, they got nerfed ( example huntress iridescent hatchet) not to mention some iridescent add ons suck. Survivors have some pretty good add ons iridescent part, the instaheal add on and not to mention killers had much needed nerf to Mori's, but keys have not been touched yet. I'm not saying all survivors cry and are toxic, but a vast majority of survivors from my perspective I've seen have been way more toxic.
It’s crazy how comfortable they want to make survivors feel in a game about getting hunted down by a merciless killer. Spirit has always been one of the more fun killers to play against as when you outplay them (not even like it’s hard with the hard counters e.g. iron will) it feels awesome because you know as a survivor you outplayed a strong killer.
They probably nerf Freddy again, then Blight, then Nurse it’s the prerequisite to completely destroy the game and the killer community. Every time the Devs do something right we go one step in right direction, then we go 7 steps backwards.

Counter-play for BHVR means "survivors can play perfectly and will always win when they do. Killers should only get hits and downs when the survivor makes a mistake." It's hilarious how survivors think she has no counter-play because she "forces" mistakes, which is what makes her a top tier killer. She doesn't have to just follow and wait. Now she will have to follow and wait. Boring.
Bullshit changes like these really make me hope that the new VHS game does well so we can all start playing that instead, because this game is beyond saving at this point. The DBD devs need to WAKE UP!
Likely financial. Playerbase is composed mostly of [casual] survivor players. Its likely they receive more revenue by catering to them. DBD seems to be Behavior's only viable IP, so they're being very blatant about milking it.

Spirits a bit overrated imo. I hardly go against spirits in high mmr it's mostly just ruin undying Blights/nurse. I would much rather go against spirits than the other 2. At least pallets and 50/50 mindgames work against spirit whereas a good nurse ignores pallets and has way less counterplay than spirit.
No surprise really, back when Nurse had her "omega blink" she needed a nerf to her add-ons but when it happened they touched her base power as well. She's still good of course, but you as the killer got punished even more for not playing perfectly with her. Then came Billy, who even in the patch notes was described as balanced by the devs and also needing a slight tweak to his add-ons got that stupid heat up mechanic tacked onto his base and he couldn't compete anymore with the best. In true BHVR fashion, they always go extra when nerfing killers. Will have to see how badly this hurts Spirit but I'm not optimistic. They only needed to get rid of the stand still mind game but went overboard.
Yeah and how they only needed to change the under pallet m1 cancel on PH. But ended up making him super clunky with lower ms and completely removed the m1 cancel. Just make it so when you get stunned at power startup it doesn't launch. Instead they made him very bad too play.
@Krioque sounds like you just refuse to better yourself as a surv and learn how to counterplay her tbh. It's not impossible, just need to learn if the nurse ur going against cuts her blinks short or long, then you adjust your movement based on that and either double back or hold forward. Idk why people make it seem like it's impossible.
@Krioque... yeah, no you can def counter a nurse. It's harder, and takes more brain power but you can counter her. Because at the end of the day, she has to make a read and if you can mind game her, that's your counter play. Make her second guess her reads. Not every counter play is as braindead as legion counter play
Here's what I would have done with Blood Favor: Blocks the pallets at the same range, for the same duration, on basic and special attacks, when a survivor is downed. So kinda like Infectious. And make it not a hex. There you go. You got an instant counter to pallet saves that is very good at what it does and offers value to the killer for outplaying their opponent. And if you down a survivor and there's another right at the same loop, you can choose to use that time to get a hit on the survivor, potentially opening yourself up to a pallet save once the pallet block is gone. Blood Favor's range is mostly useless in chases and it's not strong enough to be a hex. Devour Hope is an example of something that's strong enough to be a hex. With this change you make a perk that rewards the killer and gives them control over how to use it. But what do i know... I'm just curious to see how much spirit gets bullied now, that will be sad.
oh my god I REMEMBER THAT BUG from yearsss ago where the spirit was nigh unplayable because her phasing was directional, You knew exactly where she was the entire time... Nurse back to be the sole S tier killer by a mile again.

As a survivor main, I'm quite sad at this Spirit nerf. I personally loved versing a Spirit because I as the survivor, always had to guess and that's what made it fun. Now it'll be super easy to know where she is or where she's coming from and that just isn't as fun to me... now I'm going to verse the generic boring killers sigh
If spirit is going to kick dust up while phasing and audio is completely directional regardless of terror radius, they really might as well just make her visible while phasing. They clearly hate the character, why not just burry her at this point? There’s no hope with killers when it comes to these devs.
Except we dont know "how" directional the sound is. If its done properly, Spirit can fake going around the wall and hug the wall going back, causing a survivor to decide to vault. That's more mindgaming to a situation where there would normally be a coinflip.
@@Predated2 I’d assume it’s as directional as she was in the Spirit PTB but the main thing that will most likely break Spirit is the dust kicking up while she’s phasing. But I really want to see how this mid-chapter PTB will play out before I make any more assumptions.

True you are just wrong I love how you say that the new change makes it so the spirit is forced to make a guess but a guess is making a decision without sufficient information and that is just not true since the spirit has scratch marks she can follow, audio queues such as foot sets and the sound of a survivor vaulting also visual indications such as grass moving. You also talk about how the new audio with spirits power is a bad thing yet it counters the standstill “mind game” which you have said on multiple occasions should have a sound letting survivors know she is phasing and in the patch notes you read it said “a rough idea of what direction she is coming from” so it's not telling people her exact location this means that you will still be able to break chase and phase on other survivors because it only tells you where she is not where she is going and about her footsteps kicking up dust we don't know how powerful this will be yet nobody knows how visible the dust will be and in the patch notes it said that tall grass and other obstacles may make it difficult which is almost ever map so talking about this is pointless because we can't know how strong this will be until we see it in-game so claiming the changes will destroy spirit is idiotic nonsense
ive always been a killer main. I am very close to leaving this game alone after 100s of hours. The game was designed originally to give most of the advantages to the killer and survivors were meant to feel helpless. Its literally the other way around now.
It was so rewarding to juke/loop a spirit. ESPECIALLY when they were good spirits. She was the hardest killer for me to loop because she was a good killer. Now she's gonna be a joke. Rip. This isn't that fair
Just remove killer players and make bots. There's literally no reason NOT to play survivor only. >You don't feel powerful as a killer >You usually have more stress than fun >You have to pay a lot of money or play like an addicted for the vast majority of them >The most recent killers are all recycled concepts and mechanics >You actualy save more time and money by making an A.I. than programing add-ons, cosmetics, perks, etc. Make them chose a random killer and a few perks from a selective pool (Ruin, Corrupt, etc.) just to shake things once in a while >You no longer have to worry so much about balance >You shave 90-95% of any current criticism towards your game I literaly don't understand why they don't do this. I outright refuse to belive it's more lucrative for them make a new killer every 3 months and have to maintanence them for years rather than just make this game a party game. This mid-chapter is looking like its gonna be a make or break for a lot of people who play killer only, surv queue time might be getting hit in a mess after this patch

Unfortunately it's too hard for the people who only play Survivor to take their finger off W when she starts phasing so she's being deleted; the way these drop-out Devs fix things.
Honestly would be fine with these changes if the game wasn't so insanely swf favored. Always said, buff solo, buff general killer mechanics then we can start changing top tier killers. Guess they missed the first part.

Borrowed Time provides uncounterable escapes at endgame, DS provides uncounterable escapes at gate hooks, God Pallets are literally EVERYWHERE etc.. I've never known such a fucking dense dev team that can't understand that by buffing people who play alone they are also buffing people who play in groups.
@@lNeml just make it so you have like 4 images you can put up so solos can create a basic game plan. The problem people have with buffing killer mechanics is that it would be unfair for solos. Bring solos closer to the power of comms and buffing killer should be fine.
Hopefully they will take this change back like the first version of Billy's nerf back in the day and replace it with your idea that she gets a noise when she gets into Phase and a different one when she comes out of Phase. GUYS WE CAN DO THIS AS A COMMUNITY. #SAVESPIRIT

They could give him a rocket launcher that can be used on tier 3 but makes him regress to tier 2 when he uses it.
Another idea is giving him two types of tentacle attacks, side sweep with very short range but ability to hit multiple survivors and a thrust with longer range that hits single survivor, instead of that dumb whip like attack that doesn't fit him at all. He also has cool AoE attack in REsistance/REverse that attacks every survivor in sight with tentacles from ground, would be good as a short slowdown.
Its kinda insane how more and more this game caters towards the casuals and complainers.

Killers has to do gens to escape
It can be frustrating to be doing a generator only to have to stop because the killer is approaching.
So we've removed the ability to walk from all killers. This lets the survivor engage the killer in more strategic ways.
Not actually being invisible to survivors when invisible and they can hear you when you use the ability, this is just wraith with extra steps
Yeah This Nerf both does nothing against bad survivors while making sure she is just a worst Wraith against anyone with ears and a brain. Lets be honest though this was inevitable, Spirit has been in their crosshairs for a while now, considering what they did to Nurse they were NEVER going to allow Spirit to dare stand in her current state. I suspect after this they are going to be lining up to fire at Blight aswell, since they seem to be on a warpath to destroy the killers who can actually have a fighting chance against good survivors.
Except Wrath can see survivors when he uses his ability. So now playing Spirit will be like playing survivor against invisible Freddy

I feel like this is why there are so many salty/entitled survivors; the devs cater to them when they feel like something isn’t fair like Spirit and then the killers get the short end of the stick, but when killers think something is unfair it’s too bad or it takes forever to change.

I play on Low settings myself, and I’ll admit, although I mostly use it for performance, the clearer vision is an incentive to use it. But I’m not sure about this change personally. Directional sound could work out, but the dust from the footsteps I disagree with. Not seen it yet of course, but I feel like that will make her far too easy to counter on some maps.

why assume so much? we have no idea how the directional phase will play out, no idea how addons were reworked. stop freaking out before you played with the changes.
Yeah like we don't know if the dust will be a constant show of her footsteps or like every 1 second she'll kick up dust.
Survivors now can basically see you when you phase but you can't see them, the spirit cannot see the dust that's survivors leave but survivors can, she now just gets a small sprint burst with the huge draw back that you can't see the survivors. Yep it sucks the all point of being invisible and survivors had no idea where you are coming from was thrown outside of the window. At this point it would only be fair if she got more clues of where ethe survivor is at when phasing
I think this change is dumb i dont play spirit so im lucky but i feel bad for anyone who does…if they’re nerfing this much spirit should be able to see survivors fazing in and out while in her special that way she gets the benefit of going fast and seeing maybe then itll be salvageable

@@orange756 Honestly I wouldn't mind if they took spirits ability to hear while phasing because I got used to running against iron will survivors but survivors could use grass movements as well I always enjoy outmind gaming spirits as it was considered a challenge & killer favored on the mind games. Definitely seem the devs aren't considering both sides. Survivors know have 2 indicators one that's literally going to always give away position in phasing so RIP mind games, phasing only going to be used for its add ons/traveling across the map.

I stopped playing around the time Oni came out.
If you already have the game, just play to farm...Don't waste your energy trying to get wins even if you play with low skill survivors. Aim to farm and get the free characters P3 and only get the paid perks in the shrine instead of wasting your money purchasing DLCs...
One of the smartest things I did this year was to quit this game, now seeing these things just makes me happy because they are destroying their own game and will reach a point where no one will want to play killer anymore... I'm sorry if you love this game, but to me... after so much pain and stress... this is just good to see.

Crazy, this is the best mid chapter update we’ve gotten. Spirit has needed a nerf for awhile now. Trapper has needed a buff we might see more of him being played now, and as for the add ons and perks nothing that’s meta changing or game changing has been implemented or seen yet so the game is still where it was before this news released lol.

@@TwistedTendencies1 I mean, not really. Just because survivor gameplay doesnt really evolve too much past a certain point doesnt make it brain dead. You still have to make decisions and if you made the right decision you get a reward for that. Spirit completely removes that gameplay where you have to guess.
Essentially, the way the game is set up:
1. survivors start out dying a lot and when they get better they die less and less
2. killers start killing people a lot and when they face better and better opponents they have to get better.
This logically would lead to the conclusion that survivors would eventually have an easier time getting 4 man escapes, while they start out barely having single escapes. Also logically leads to the conclusion that killers would have a very easy time killing and they get bigger challenges the better they get.
Spirit players didnt need to learn shit even when they faced better and better opponents untill they reached really high ranks. I've seen Spirit players perform decently on extremely high ranks, while barely knowing that hooking a survivor in the right spot would give them a massive advantage(aka, next to ruin within a 3 gen), because she didnt need to. That's a problem no matter how you try to twist the logic.
You're playing against players, those players also need to have fun.

Killer is harder than survivor, so many bad Killers call the game unbalanced when they lose because they aren't used to losing. It's amazing how many killer players throw a temper tantrum when they lose their first match in 20 games

Boon totems seem like a really bad idea. The killer objective of hooking survivors already takes a long time. Now if killers have to look for totems that’s just obnoxious.
Mark my words - they will make a boon perk to recover from exhausted while running and then we are back to square one

Honestly, they should just make boon totems get destroyed after a set amount of time, like 1 minute.
However if the killer happens to stumble upon the totem, the killer can destroy it before the allotted time limit.
Ngl tho, boon totems terrify me
I really hope it's not gonna have the same mechanic as hex totems. If a killer has to search the whole map for a totem I'm done with playing killer.
My worst case worry, Boon totems are only destroyed when the survivor who brought it dies, and boon totems apply to all survivors, and their effects stack.
Example: Adds 1 second to the killers stun duration. Survivors bring 4 adding 4 seconds to any blind, stun, fatigue that killer gets.
Well here's the thing I assume they will more than likely only be a personal buff, because survivors can have a total of 16 perks and that's alot for the killer to keep track of if they're team wide. They could also be proximity based too but who knows.
Seconds of all, they're only 5 totems on the game. Alot of Hexs now need full totems to activate or turn Dull Totems to Hexs (Haunted Grounds, Pin Head Hex) and you can also equip 4 normal hex totems + Hauntsd grounds and have all 5 totems lit. So what if all 4 survivors decide to being at least 1 Boon totem?
I assume they're just gonna activate all the dull totem locations and have like whatever many are on the map, which could make totem placements crazy (and also a Thrill of the hunt change because it was based on the number of dull totems available).
Killers just got Scourge Hooks as well which could be just as powerful too but we domt know what they will do until time tell.

It does not give more skill at playing as or against her.
It only makes her easier to counter and go against that is *LESS* skill needed to go against her.
If you don't need to play a match differently around her and use different strategies and tactics that's just called bread and butter gameplay and everyone can do that, basic stuff
To me having more ways to counter her makes less effort needed on the survivors side meaning less skill needed to vs her not more, idk what the hell the devs are going on about.
Spirit herself will have to try harder to trip people up and skill needed to use her will increase there as a result as you will need to be on point with phases now and double backs as they know exactly where you are now.

So this means no chance of grabbing on gens anymore by playing it smart and standing witin 24meters of it.
You can't beat loops anymore since tey always know if ur phasing, also ur running at 110% speed so just running around a loop instead of phasing is tough.
For me personally these are the 2 biggest impacts and i think ill drop spirit until over 3 years when they might buff her again.
Spirit is still faster when she's phasing. Her catchup speed is still the same. Yeah, survivor knows you're phasing but that information is only slightly useful to them. You're still overwhelmingly faster. If you're so trash at beating loops that you crutch on making survivors guess where to go then holy shit you need to up your game.

It will mostly affect bigger loops, on small pallet loops it won't change much, she's likely to reach you before you notice her going around and have time to vault. Same goes for the dirt thing.
Also it's laughable when he say they only show the strongest add-ons changes. For demo they showed us "Lifeguard Whistle" a purple add-ons showing survivor near portals without the need of charging "Of the Abyss" while they kept "Black Heart" and "Barb's Glasses" hidden and both those two are way more useful than Lifeguard Whistle.

I think it would be great idea to add a game feature where the competitive game mode changes when you reach a certain rank. Maybe getting to the iri ranks or the one lower than that should make the game a bit harder for higher ranked survivors by adding more objectives. This way, killers would have more chance at the top ranks without having to harm the experience for lower ranks.

Kinda natural for a PvP game to have players that starts to become competitive the more they play the game, which the devs need to acknowledge. I think it's an inevitable adjustment that had to be done if the game were to move forward and compete with other games.
This; this is EXACTLY why I never got into using spirit. I KNEW at some point, they would nerf her into the ground and make her pointless to use. They already hurt me with Oni, I was so happy for that killer, then he got hard nerfed into mediocrity. I wasn't going to let them do it to me again. Can't wait for the next update for half the killer population to drop.

All Spirit needed was a clear "I am going into phase" animation. No more "coin flip" stand still "mind games" but still a strong killer that makes you loop out side the box for a more interesting match. Before the changes, I love playing as or against billy because most Billy won’t camp. Definitely stressful against him because of the patrolling speed but still more exciting than being chased full game and camped on one hook. I guess shitty toxic gen rusher just can’t deal with his old chainsaw.😞

This is getting worrying. Now survivors have more information than the spirit. They have noise, spirits footsteps, sound manipulation, scratch mark manipulation. It might no longer be both sides trying to read one another. Now it looks like spirit would be the only one making guessing games. Even worse if on indoor maps or survivors with low graphics and stretched res. This nerf was massively unnecessary; all she needed nerfed was her standstill mindgame and some add-ons.

standstill wasnt even that good of a mindgame if you knew how to counter it, her glass shines whenever she phases, spirit would have to phase for a little bit to actually get you to leave the loop, and at that point she wouldnt see where you were going
could you expect anything less? look what they did to billy, arguably one of the most balanced killers in the game. All they had to do was change some of his addons but they totally nerfed him to the ground

I like the Tru3's community. It really does understand how bad this update is, concerning the Spirit. That's not what I see by other streamers where people're mostly low-skill brain-dead humans, playing only survivors and rejoicing when any killer nerf appears

If survivor were to become less popular, then there is at least an option to balance around three survivors if they really need to to make lobbies. But there's just the one killer and you can't go down from one. No killers means no game. The expectation cannot be that people will just have to play killer even though it's no fun. It's not a job. People won't do it just so survivors can run around t-bagging. If no one wants to play killer, the game just stops happening.
A someone who’s recently been back into this game playing survivor w a friend, me and him both agree that this was unnecessary. I feel like it totally takes away from her kit, what’s the point of not being able to see her phasing if we still see her coming (if that makes sense lol)

That key rework is looking as real as a unicorn, and I'm sure the current roll-back and increased blood points to temporarily fix latency issues until a real fix comes along will become permanent instead.
Keys need a different rework than Spirit. They would need to rework the way the hatch works against all killers without breaking it, aka, the new key needs to be fair against all killers. Spirit is just 1 killer and survivors are simply reskins, its much easier to make balancing decisions about spirit than keys.
Adding on top of that, that they want to rework Mori's too, and they probably want to release them together.

Really, thanks all changed before, special MMR system destroyed this game, now nearly every killer is camper or tunneler, so survivors has worst and worst chance to survive. This change is great, cos spirit was really OP and even a real pro survivors cant win agains pro spirit. Now they can and its really good change.

@@zacharyspoole Camping and tunneling only hurts the killer even if its the killer doing it on purpose (too close lose points!) and the only ones who lose to those kinds of killers are very bad survivors....and as a survivor main, 3-4 gens can get done before the survivor on the hook will die and all 3 can go hover around hook and save the survivor and since the killer wants to play stupid we all just body block and let a different survivor get downed/hooked so he wastes more time camping and we just heal up, do the last gen, or even break glowing totems (most campers tend to use NOED) and either we all escape or 3 of us escape....regardless of outcome we call the killer trash....
Camping killers are the easiest to beat, especially using toolboxes and Borrowed Time...and dont get me started on bringing in BNP's....

When they added MoM, I knew that they didn't care about how strong survivors are or can be compared to killer. Of course boon totem perks are going to be insane. Also I heard that the survivor gets to pick what totem to put the boon on, while killer still has to deal with hex spawning on totems nears gens.... Yeah, no favoritism at all.....
mom was changed super quickly and made pretty much useless. all recent perks released, talking about the last 2 years or so, were balanced on release or too weak, original undying being the only exception but even that got changed very quickly.
The perk they nerfed quickly and got a massive outcry over from people who bought Ash for it. Not the best example.

Kudos to the devs for attempting to fix a lot of things that were both asked for AND needed, but they could have thought about Spirit's changes a little more. Who okay'd giving Spirit basically no information at all while phasing and at the same time granting Survivor's a veritable smorgasbord of it? All they've done is switch who has to guess what the other side is doing in a chase, which is made even worse of a decision when you consider that Survivors can also run stuff like Iron Will and other information hiding perks that'll likely remove literally all information from her.
Obviously we can't know exactly how effective these changes are in a match until they're added, but the idea is just silly in theory.
Spirit was fine a year ago. Now shes quite literally dogshit. They keep gearing the game towards first time players and survivors. They destroying their own game and they dont even care. its sad, but they deserve nothing less than losing it all at this point

I think the phase sound should be at least 10 meters so I know whether she is actually phasing or just faking it. I honestly like playing against spirit expect for the fake phasing trick lol
I'd prefer the directional sound instead. I think the nerf is justified and needed because - as the devs said in their post - versing Spirit is basically a coin-flip and little else BUT seeing her footsteps takes things a bit too far. All I wanted was for survivors to know when she is phasing so that her "stand still, get free hits/grabs" bullshit finally stops. Knowing where she is will hurt her massively, on some maps (where you will be able to clearly see the kicked-up dust, Ormond and all indoor maps come to mind) probably more than on others. The directional sound is an idea I can get behind though, it tells survivors if she's using her power and roughly tells them where she is but they still need to make a read, e.g. "Do I vault that window? When do I vault?", "Do I drop the pallet? When do I drop it? Should I vault it right after I dropped it in case she phases to the other side?" We have to wait for the PTB I suppose but yes - I think this nerf is gonna kill the Spirit off as an S tier killer and drop her down to... well, let's wait and see how hard her add-ons will get hit.
the sound was good enough, the dust is overkill but I don't think it will be that bad. They did say it will be tough to see in grass (by which I hope they mean impossible to see), but a good point I saw somebody say is that people will lower their graphics to see it better, which I hope doesnt work

(Killers can stack generator regression perks and busted ass add-ons and get carried to a high skill level without actually being skilled at the game, then when they finally lose to competent solo survivors they cry about swf and demand balance changes. The killer player race is far more toxic and far more entitled than the survivor player base, you're just more likely to see a toxic survivor since there are four against one. I've had far more Killers go out of their way to ruin the match for the survivors then vice versa)
@@gageowo9527 I've been harassed by survivor's who go out of their way to bully killers and not to mention to that survivors can run a four man. Gen regression perks like ruin is nerfed still good but nerfed, pop is pretty much the new ruin it had a slight nerf, thanatophobia isn't really that good, surge and overcharge are just gimmicks. Killers are meant to be in the power role and while some add ons are kinda broken, they got nerfed ( example huntress iridescent hatchet) not to mention some iridescent add ons suck. Survivors have some pretty good add ons iridescent part, the instaheal add on and not to mention killers had much needed nerf to Mori's, but keys have not been touched yet. I'm not saying all survivors cry and are toxic, but a vast majority of survivors from my perspective I've seen have been way more toxic.
It’s crazy how comfortable they want to make survivors feel in a game about getting hunted down by a merciless killer. Spirit has always been one of the more fun killers to play against as when you outplay them (not even like it’s hard with the hard counters e.g. iron will) it feels awesome because you know as a survivor you outplayed a strong killer.

They probably nerf Freddy again, then Blight, then Nurse it’s the prerequisite to completely destroy the game and the killer community. Every time the Devs do something right we go one step in right direction, then we go 7 steps backwards.
Nerf spirit, but god pallets are perfectly fair and balanced. Survivor players are such un self aware hypocrites it's actually shocking.
After one year and a half i finally deleted the game today, im so tired of how unbalanced this game is, im tired of the game having problems every single update, right now i cannot use my main (pyramid head) because its bugged, im fucking tired of how this game makes me feel, it doesn't matter if i lose or win as killer i always end exausted. Man, i been playing videogames all my life and this is the first videogame company that makes me feel angry to the point that i wish i could kick the devs in the ass, they are so untouch with their own game...
My biggest regret is all the money that i spent on the game, they dont deserve it

Counter-play for BHVR means "survivors can play perfectly and will always win when they do. Killers should only get hits and downs when the survivor makes a mistake."
It's hilarious how survivors think she has no counter-play because she "forces" mistakes, which is what makes her a top tier killer. She doesn't have to just follow and wait. Now she will have to follow and wait. Boring.
Bullshit changes like these really make me hope that the new VHS game does well so we can all start playing that instead, because this game is beyond saving at this point. The DBD devs need to WAKE UP!

Likely financial. Playerbase is composed mostly of [casual] survivor players. Its likely they receive more revenue by catering to them. DBD seems to be Behavior's only viable IP, so they're being very blatant about milking it.

Spirits a bit overrated imo. I hardly go against spirits in high mmr it's mostly just ruin undying Blights/nurse. I would much rather go against spirits than the other 2. At least pallets and 50/50 mindgames work against spirit whereas a good nurse ignores pallets and has way less counterplay than spirit.

Kill switch means as soon as it’s live Dead Hard will get disabled because that perk is still broken and should just be called exhausted on the floor

No surprise really, back when Nurse had her "omega blink" she needed a nerf to her add-ons but when it happened they touched her base power as well. She's still good of course, but you as the killer got punished even more for not playing perfectly with her.
Then came Billy, who even in the patch notes was described as balanced by the devs and also needing a slight tweak to his add-ons got that stupid heat up mechanic tacked onto his base and he couldn't compete anymore with the best.
In true BHVR fashion, they always go extra when nerfing killers. Will have to see how badly this hurts Spirit but I'm not optimistic. They only needed to get rid of the stand still mind game but went overboard.

Yeah and how they only needed to change the under pallet m1 cancel on PH. But ended up making him super clunky with lower ms and completely removed the m1 cancel.
Just make it so when you get stunned at power startup it doesn't launch. Instead they made him very bad too play.
@Krioque sounds like you just refuse to better yourself as a surv and learn how to counterplay her tbh. It's not impossible, just need to learn if the nurse ur going against cuts her blinks short or long, then you adjust your movement based on that and either double back or hold forward. Idk why people make it seem like it's impossible.
@Krioque... yeah, no you can def counter a nurse. It's harder, and takes more brain power but you can counter her. Because at the end of the day, she has to make a read and if you can mind game her, that's your counter play. Make her second guess her reads. Not every counter play is as braindead as legion counter play

Guess I’m a survivor main 🥲and they mind as well have bots for killers for now on.
Here's what I would have done with Blood Favor: Blocks the pallets at the same range, for the same duration, on basic and special attacks, when a survivor is downed. So kinda like Infectious. And make it not a hex. There you go. You got an instant counter to pallet saves that is very good at what it does and offers value to the killer for outplaying their opponent. And if you down a survivor and there's another right at the same loop, you can choose to use that time to get a hit on the survivor, potentially opening yourself up to a pallet save once the pallet block is gone.
Blood Favor's range is mostly useless in chases and it's not strong enough to be a hex. Devour Hope is an example of something that's strong enough to be a hex. With this change you make a perk that rewards the killer and gives them control over how to use it.
But what do i know... I'm just curious to see how much spirit gets bullied now, that will be sad.

Every time the survivors throw a tantrum the developers have to be the parent instead of looking at themselves and saying what can I do to get better.
if you ever watched most casual TTV streamers on this game they literally are the reason shit like this gets changed. I'm talking about the 2 views, dime a dozen channels they literally complain about every hit , lose to a rank 20 trapper and the spirit and nurse makes them go on a five minute long rant about skill
As a survivor main, I'm quite sad at this Spirit nerf. I personally loved versing a Spirit because I as the survivor, always had to guess and that's what made it fun. Now it'll be super easy to know where she is or where she's coming from and that just isn't as fun to me... now I'm going to verse the generic boring killers sigh
If spirit is going to kick dust up while phasing and audio is completely directional regardless of terror radius, they really might as well just make her visible while phasing. They clearly hate the character, why not just burry her at this point? There’s no hope with killers when it comes to these devs.
Except we dont know "how" directional the sound is. If its done properly, Spirit can fake going around the wall and hug the wall going back, causing a survivor to decide to vault.
That's more mindgaming to a situation where there would normally be a coinflip.

@@Predated2 I’d assume it’s as directional as she was in the Spirit PTB but the main thing that will most likely break Spirit is the dust kicking up while she’s phasing. But I really want to see how this mid-chapter PTB will play out before I make any more assumptions.

True you are just wrong I love how you say that the new change makes it so the spirit is forced to make a guess but a guess is making a decision without sufficient information and that is just not true since the spirit has scratch marks she can follow, audio queues such as foot sets and the sound of a survivor vaulting also visual indications such as grass moving.
You also talk about how the new audio with spirits power is a bad thing yet it counters the standstill “mind game” which you have said on multiple occasions should have a sound letting survivors know she is phasing and in the patch notes you read it said “a rough idea of what direction she is coming from” so it's not telling people her exact location this means that you will still be able to break chase and phase on other survivors because it only tells you where she is not where she is going and about her footsteps kicking up dust we don't know how powerful this will be yet nobody knows how visible the dust will be and in the patch notes it said that tall grass and other obstacles may make it difficult which is almost ever map so talking about this is pointless because we can't know how strong this will be until we see it in-game so claiming the changes will destroy spirit is idiotic nonsense
ive always been a killer main. I am very close to leaving this game alone after 100s of hours. The game was designed originally to give most of the advantages to the killer and survivors were meant to feel helpless. Its literally the other way around now.
It was so rewarding to juke/loop a spirit. ESPECIALLY when they were good spirits. She was the hardest killer for me to loop because she was a good killer. Now she's gonna be a joke. Rip. This isn't that fair

Just remove killer players and make bots. There's literally no reason NOT to play survivor only.

Borrowed Time provides uncounterable escapes at endgame, DS provides uncounterable escapes at gate hooks, God Pallets are literally EVERYWHERE etc.. I've never known such a fucking dense dev team that can't understand that by buffing people who play alone they are also buffing people who play in groups.

The problem people have with buffing killer mechanics is that it would be unfair for solos. Bring solos closer to the power of comms and buffing killer should be fine.
