My husband complained about my cooking, every night for years and sometimes wouldn't eat, I always cooked only what he wanted . One day I got fed up and decided to cook just what our son and I liked, when he came home and saw us eating he said "I ain't eating that sh---" we didn't say anything and he looked in the pans and said "what am I going to eat?" I said "that's your problem, and I'm never cooking for you again " and NEVER did again, he had to do his own grocery shopping and cook his frozen dinners and I enjoyed cooking only what I liked . Once in awhile when I cooked something he also liked, I felt sorry for him and offered him some, oh could not stop with "thank you" and "this is delicious"
my first husband was exactly like this one. no matter what i cooked, he complained. i could taste my own cooking, i knew it was okay. hurt, i would leave half my dinner uneaten, and go to my parents' house. i didn't tell them what was happening, i just needed to be with someone who loved me. my second husband said, almost every evening, "that was a good dinner."
What he was doing is a form of psychological abuse. Control issues here. Hope he learned his lesson. Hope his wife learned not to let him get away with that anymore.
