@@SonsofLiberty-u8j The part of the buckle that you thought should be in, should be out. Now, I don't know if there "is" an official way, but that's the way we all wore them. But really, I don't think it matters. They're there to hold up a belt. As far as using the tabs, we never really worried about that either. Once out of initial training, almost everyone put the pouches on the belt wherever they wanted them. Frequently, they wouldn't be where the suspender straps came down. I had four 30 round mag pouches toward the front. And honestly, I almost NEVER buckled the belt. edit: And I did remove the metal hooks and used 550.
Cut those clips off and use 550 cord. Those metal clips chew into you. That was used from the 1960’s-90’s.
Thank you Scott, always appreciate additional tips & experience. Thanks for watching & the comment!
It's pretty intuitive stuff. I put my alice kit together from cheap surplus when I was a teenager, I figured it out pretty quick.
Good morning brother, currently sitting on my porch drinking coffee and helping to control the local coyote population.
You have the belt inside out. Label goes in.
Standard issue until/through the 90's.
I had a feeling!
And the buckles are on inside out right?
The shiny side should be out?
Thank you greg!

@@gregrburnett3400 Thanks again Greg for your insight, and thank you for your service as well!
I used gear like that in the 1980's.
Is there a reason you can't download a USGI FM 21-15 to show you the correct ways for web gear?
"Look at the big brain on Brad!"
Great idea, gijr.
