  • In this episode, I had the opportunity to interview Gayton McKenzie, the leader of the Patriotic Alliance. Our conversation delved into a wide range of topics, starting with his early involvement in criminal activities that ultimately led to a 17-year prison sentence. We explored his experiences within the prison system, where he notably received special treatment and was regarded as a king behind bars. Gayton also shed light on the extensive corruption he exposed, which ultimately resulted in his early release.
    Our discussion extended to his connections with Rashied Staggie, one of South Africa's most infamous gang leaders, as well as his business partnership with Kenny Kunene. Gayton shared insights into how he amassed his wealth through various business ventures. He outlined his vision for the future of South Africa if he were to become president in 2024, which included his stance on controversial issues such as advocating for the reinstatement of the death penalty and his plan to address the issue of illegal immigration through mass deportations.

    44:56 Gayton's point is that the Death penalty is not for 1st offenders, but if you convicted for murder for eg. the 4th time, the chances that all 4 those convictions was "wrongful" is zero.

    I'm surprised at how many people look at the death sentence as a solution that fixes all. Nowhere in life do we have one type of fix for all. Why do people require this from the death sentence? The death sentence is and will only be a deterrent to future offenders, not the solution to crime as a whole. Innocent people are taking the fall for criminal gangs, and through there lifes away because they are being promised protection in prison. I think the decision innocent people take will be changed for the better if they are faced with the possibility of death. It's not a silver bullet, but it will bring about a more just justice system.
    Good conversation, great interview.

    South Africa's first known inhabitants have been referred to as the Khoisan, the Khoekhoe and the San. Starting in about 1,000 BCE, these groups were then joined by people who migrated from Western and Central Africa during what is known as the Bantu expansion southwards through Africa. Also note that South Africa has been identified as the cradle of mankind. Technically everyone came from here. We are all the same. The borders were defined by Europeans. There were literally no tribes in the western cape except for Khoisan for thousand of years. Where do you draw a line in history?

    • @tftltv
      @tftltv 7 месяцев назад +7

      It's easier sad than done man ..all I can tell you is that in every south african major city there are Nigerians, Tanzanian and Ghanaian people standing on corners next to Universities and Colleges selling cocaine, crystal meth , Kat, weed , heroin . They sell everything known to mankind to the youth of South Africa and they strategically place themselves next to schools . However in their countries you won't find south africans doing the same .

    • @werner240
      @werner240 7 месяцев назад +2

      Huge problem. The waiters and gardeners are pretty good though. The crime is the issue not the country they come from. That said no south african would go to those shithole countries to sell drugs as they can make more money here. There us a huge market here. That's why there is so much supply with people flocking in from all over. I just really dislike the idea of grouping everyone together. Rather make the laws more strict on drugs. Gayton likes the death penalty so imagine that for high level gangsters?

      @@tftltv They definitely weren't worse than many of the other tribes but were more efficient due to having more resources and technology. Imagine Shaka Zulu with the same resources as Europe at the time. The world would have been a very different place. You can point out individuals but never hate an entire race or group because of misguided conceptions and hatred. It shows a lack of intellect and allows one to be used as a puppet to further the agendas of others. Most leaders are psychopaths and power corrupts. It takes a psychopath to make it to the top in most cases. The right way would be harsher punishment
