@@FromShetoMe that is funny. I identify with that comment but more on the lost part. We travel a little in our Winnebago View and plan to do more when we retire. It would be great to meet you all in person. Since we are in the southeast, Bristol, TN, I keep thinking we might run into Lynn and Owen somewhere. We recently camped next to Fridays Forever. We saw the eclipse in Indiana, and parked in a little church parking lot. The ladies of the church fixed lunch for all us visiting. They were raising money for roof repairs on their church! Great idea! 💡
The eclipse was magical. It was our second time viewing totality and we are still in awe of the greatness and majestic sights. I'm having withdrawals.....😅

We do French toast on our gas stove in a fry pan - works fine. Topped with lemon curd and fresh(ish) raspberries.
I've not tried it with Lemon Curd and raspberries. Sounds yummy.

Fort Davis is a really neat small town with much to see including an amazing observatory, an historic fort , a beautiful statr park and cute shops and opd homes.
We did Fort Davis in 2019. Loved it and what a great State Park.

Yes, I was thinking my Spanish classes (from 50 years ago) taught me double-l's was more of a "y" sound.
That's correct except when you're talking about Llano TX. It's pronounced with the "L" sound and is simply "lan-oh". At least as a 72 year native of TX that's all I've ever heard. Been there many times. Now if you're talking about the area around Lubbock, the Llano Estacado (staked plains) it is indeed pronounced "yah-no"

@@willar7179 It rhymes with Dan-O. Texas is dotted with mispronounced town names. A couple favorites are Refugio which is pronounced sort of like re-fuhr-io. And Bogata which is pronounced Buh-GO-tuh.

I visited Llano State Park about three weeks ago and things were already spectacular at that time. It’s funny. I sat on the same quirky little bench and watched all the birds in the bird blind love the park🌷🌸
It was definitely a high light of our trip.
The LBJ White House in Stonewall is a fantastic place to visit, but it won’t be open again until 2025. The interior contents of the home have been frozen in time somewhere in the early 1960’s. When we visited there years ago we went into Lyndon’s private bedroom and saw 3 black & white 9” TVs sitting on his dresser which he used to watch news on CBS, ABC, and NBC. In the kitchen we saw an Amana Radar Range, one of the very first home microwave ovens. A real trip back in time …..

We stayed at Monahan Sandhills and Leasburg Dam on our way to the eclipse. Too much traffic in El Paso kept us from Balmorhea. Thanks for showing what we missed.
We'll have to return, but when the weather is better and there are other people in the pool. And maybe I'll have to wear a wet suit to keep the fish from nibbling. 😅
Very cool to see these Texas State Parks - they are all so diverse! We are really enjoying them this trip through Texas. We did buy the pass this year - I think it’s working out well (we are at a state park now). Wait, there’s an ice cream app? 🤣

The rains in January made this an especially enjoyable wildflower season. The Bluebell Creamery is in Brenham and worth a visit.
I wanted to visit but it was a bit too far for the grand kids. Next time.

When we visited LBJ ranch his last SS agent was there, he was showing some friends around. He finally introduced himself to the rest of us and told some behind the scenes stories.

I watched George this morning and saw a quick glimpse of your van. He mentioned that your's and the 2 others would be out by the end of June. My favorite pastime.....bird watching, need to go there to Llano. The LBJ park was really cool, need to go there too. You were gutsy getting into that pool, I just can't take cold water and have a hard time just getting into our Pacific Ocean. Oh, found a tick in the van early this week, yikes, hope it was the only one. Enjoy today wherever you are, thanks for sharing.
Don't hold your breath for the end of June. But as George says, it will be beautiful.
The only time we've ever found a tick in the van was in Washington State. They seem to be particularly bad there.

I was surprised that you don’t have Northern Cardinals in California. It’s the state bird here in Ohio (and several other states). We’ll sometimes see a dozen or more at desserts over the winter, and always have e them nest in the rhododendron in our front yard.
I knew there were several Oliver trailers in Texas for the eclipse, but was surprised to see two in your video. For so few having been made (1500 in 17 years) we see them in a lot of videos! We need to get “Curiosity” out west!
We've been seeing more and more Olivers. I didn't realize how few are out there.

A gelato that size would cost 1 Euro (about $1.25) in a mountaintop village where we visit our friends in southern Italy. I can’t believe what gelato costs here! Of course we can’t afford to go to Italy vey often for cheaper gelato, no matter how good it is.
It seemed exorbitant to me but I think the reason is because it was made with Buffalo milk.

My daughter lives in Austin-been that route many times-I would rather look at the oil fields and natural gas any time then a big ugly open pit mine mining for lithium to make batteries -I grew up in Butte Montana where this is a huge open pit copper mine -it is ugly and has caused a lot of pollution-it is shut down now for the most part but that big ugly open pit will remain forever-Just saying 🤷♀️🚌🇺🇸

On George's video this morning, he suggested late June. But I'm not holding my breath. However, we will be heading east in June so that we can be there whenever we get the call. I know that he has been finishing up two other vans and we are next in line.
