As promised, here are some FAQs! 🌸 Where can I buy this/where did you buy yours? - I got mine from FB marketplace. I guess I just got lucky lol (but then again, I frequent that site). I do know you can get flip phones like this from Mercari Japan, eBay, or even the Kyoex website - depending on where you are. As for how much, please look it up as it can vary a lot depending on where you are, who’s selling it, etc. Will it work in my country? - I’m not an expert on this, but as far as I know, you wanna make sure there is network compatibility. This phone is primarily designed to work in Japan, so it may not work in other countries. Here are the supported bands from Kyoex website: * 2G Network : GSM EDGE 850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz * 3G Network : UMTS HSDPA UMTS 900, 1700/2100, 2100 MHz * 4G Network : FDD-LTE 900, 1700/ 2100, 1800, 2100 MHz (Band 1, 3, 4, 8) Is the phone unlocked? - While most sellers that I saw sell this phone unlocked, it’s still best to review the listing or reach out to the seller diretctly. Can I use android apps like FB, messenger, whatsapp, etc? - Yes! This phone runs on Android 8.0 so as long as the app still supports this version of Android, you should be able to use it. BUT! There are some exceptions. For example, apps like Grab or Uber uses a lot of resources, and in those cases, the app just wont work lol How do I install apps? - There are a lot of tutorials for this online, and that’s exactly how I learned how to install apps on my phones. Basically, you want to turn on Developer Mode in the settings (how to do that can vary based on phone model, so google is your friend!), then, enable USB Debugging > Install ADB installer on your windows PC, connect the phone to your PC with the ADB installer on, download some APK files from reputable sources online (again, google is your friend), then install the apk files to your phone via ADB (you will need to enter some code, but again, this is very easy to find online) - I know this explanation is lacking, so I will do my best to come up with a video tutorial somehow (quite busy sorry) How long does the battery last? - That honestly depends on a number of things like how old is your unit’s battery? how many apps are you using? how many hours are you using the phone? Which apps are you using? - To give you an idea, my phone battery lasts about 2-3 days, and I use it daily for whatsapp and listening to music via Apple music Can I use banking apps on this phone? - I think a better question is, should you? remember that this phone stopped receiving security updates many years ago, so it’s not exactly something you’d want to use for banking because it’s easy to get compromised - If you still want to use banking apps, I installed a few and they work (again, as long as the apps still support android 8.0) I hope this has been helpful! If you have other questions, please comment and I will do my best to get back to you when I can :) Thank you all for your support!
because it’s easy to compromise do you think it is safe to use this phone for everyday things? >.< i’ve been getting into flip phones/dumb phones again, and even though im so scared to switch from my normal smart phone im absolutely in love with this keitai
@@bl00dech0s I personally think that for the most part, it should be fine. I think the idea is to have less screen time anyways, so if you want to reduce your screen time and still have access to messaging apps to stay connected, then phones like this may be beneficial for you
I really like Japanese phones, the only bad thing is that they can only change the language to English or Japanese (I'm from Chile) but they are so beautiful ✨️
Super helpful! Just bought a Kyocera 701KC Digno and I’m in love with how many settings and the look of it. It’s actually very sturdy and i even tho it only uses android 5.1.1 i will definitely use it as my detox phone. Many thanks for ur help 😊
Just bought a black one as a daily driver. I'm going to vinyl wrap it iridescent white and put a charm on it. I'm old enough to remember when these types of phones were all around. Believe it or not, the US used to have these type of sleek flip phones around 2006-2010. I had a black one in 5th grade and my cousin gave me one of her japanese charms she got from daiso. It was so cool back then, and feels nice to come back home.
I just bought this used phone in black!! this video makes me even more excited to get it!! love the way you customized it!! seems like a neat little phone :D plus its the only keitai that works in the US (apparently...hopefully I can get it to work).. the sharp aquos would've been my first choice but is incompatible here :/ i just gotta figure out the process on getting a few apps... google is not being my friend rn lol
You are sooooo lucky to get the pink one, it's so rare! Thank you for sharing and I love the way you decorated with shiny Holo stickers on the inside which makes it extra cute!!!!💗💗💗💗
Thank u! I wasn’t even planning on getting this, but someone was selling it 2nd hand. I knew I probably won’t come across the pink one anymore if I don’t buy it lol
How is navigation inside Apple Music? Do you have to use the cursor or does it work with the keypad? :) same for whatsapp, do you need to use the cursor? I am so torn between the Digno and the Aquos 601SH (because of how the cursor works on there, seems a bit more „fluid“ to use bc you don’t have to press buttons to move the cursor). Since you have used both, which phone do you like better?
Cursor = 601sh def wins! I love that you can use the entire keypad like a touchpad to move the cursor. The digno uses the arrow keys to control the mouse cursor so it doesn’t feel as fluid. That’s how it is with apps like apple music or whatsapp. You get used to it, though! Looks, I like the 601sh better. Functionality wise, this 903kc is better
which is better; sharp aquos 601sh or this 902kc ? pls answer i am stuck between the two !! which one runs apps like youtube, lmr music, instagram, whatsapp better ?... Also which one has a newer android system?... pls tell me 😭
What about Europe? ( Italy. Spusu carrier. I'm not sure what bands they use ) Anyone can confirm that these kind of phones work in Eu on Spusu? Thank you.
hi!! where do u purchase your flip phones? i heard its much cheaper in japan and im flying there soon, is there any specific store i should look out for ?
But how’d you get wallpapers like that on there? I tried Pinterest and it’s not letting my enter my log in, I’ve tried google, and I’m trying to connect it to my PlayStation lol

I wasn’t old enough or wasn’t alive to have this type of phone (i was born in 2008) so i kinda wanna buy a cute pink flip phone one day
i saw inuyasha and i instantly clicked XD this phone looks really cool though !
nice, i just ordered an a202kc earlier today, i think it's the 2022 version of this same phone but mines in silver
That’s a nice phone! I believe the a202kc runs android 10 instead of 8 (unlike this one). The silver is pretty!
should i buy it and try to use it in the USA? my Samsung just looks the same as others, flip phones look cooler IMO so.
I PREFER CHOOSE THIS FLIP PHONE RATHER THAN COMMON FLIP PHONE THIS YEAR
I love that optimistic sound what is this Melody please help me find it
wow the opening and closing sound is so cuteee. ❤❤ Do sharp aquos have the same features?
nope, unfortunately. 🥲
@@chewyro_chewyro thats sad, 😢 then what about the recent kyocera digno like kyf42/a202kc? 🙈

Hello! I just get them from ebay or fb marketplace
But how’d you get wallpapers like that on there? I tried Pinterest and it’s not letting my enter my log in, I’ve tried google, and I’m trying to connect it to my PlayStation lol
I either send via Bluetooth, download from messenger or whatsapp (i send the pics to myself), or you can put the files in your sd card

Is it actually T9 or to you have to press 7 four times for S?
I like using the manual typing mode, but you can install a T9 keypad app
Can this model share hotspot connection? 😮
Have to tried it, but I’m pretty sure it can cause the other older model I have can :)
Where did you buy it from 902kc/903kc Kyocera?
I got it from someone on Facebook Marketplace
Maybe I buy one of these, just to learn better Japanese
Does anybody know if this phone works in the Caucasus region?
are you using 0 to press space?
yes - depending on your phone, you may need to tap it 2-4 times (unless you are using a TT9 keyboard)
Hi! Great video and such a cute phone,, was wondering what's the background music used?
Thanks! It’s from the app called VLLO and the background musics are under “cafe” category. Unfortunately I can’t remember the actual names 😅
can it use bluetooth speaker or earphones?
Yes, though I heard some people are having issues with sony. My galaxy buds worked with no issues tho
Where did you get the stickers?
Shopee!
@@chewyro_chewyro What did you search up to get them?
