Believe it or not, sleep flip phones like this existed literally everywhere from 2005-2009. I had one in the 5th grade '07/'08. It was black, much more square, thin and sleeker than this. My cousin gave me an extra charm she got from Daiso and I put it on my phone. It feels nice to come back home to one of these after more than a decade of using smart phones. I recently bought a black 902kc that I will be vinyl wrapping iridescent white since I couldn't get my hands on a white one. It will be put into service as a daily driver
I bought a Kyocera 902kc in black but want to make it cute so I'm planning on doing either white, pink or purple stickers to keep the black x color combo aesthetic. I didn't know about customizing the menu or homescreen so I will definitely try it out now! And thanks for mentioning which carrier you use
I recently got the kyocera 701kc, and i have a question on how you loaded the apps onto the phone, i just need my messaging app and maybe some music downloads but thats about it. I also wanted to know how to put photos onto the phone? (i can already edit the photos beforehand to match the dimensions of the screen and make them small enough to fit in the phone without taking up all the storage)
Sorry for the late reply! I had a lot of help installing apps because I'm not too familiar with the process myself, but I know you need to download the .apk file for the apps you want, connect the phone to your computer and make sure dev mode is enabled on the phone, and you need to use something called adb through the computers terminal/ command line to actually install the files. There's some tutorials on Reddit and RUclips, though they are quite confusing if you don't know a bit about coding and stuff (which is why I needed a lot of help lol). I'm sorry that I'm not very useful helping with this 😞
this is such a nice flip phone ! I'm looking to buy one but I'm still unsure if it does gps or not, ik it's android 8 but I haven't seen anyone talking about it. do you perhaps have the answer ? geat video btw !
Yes it does! I use Mint with mine, but the catch is is that you don't get very good service because the phone doesn't support all of the US wireless bands
This phone looks really nice. Seeing the exterior display was a nice bonus! It actually made me smile.

I installed Waze on it so it can technically do gps, but it was a pain in the butt and never worked that well when I tried to use it
@@angieblah245 thanks for the answer !
Does this have a track pad function like the 601sh?
sure…it has touch pad like 601sh
No it doesn't unfortunately, you gotta use the arrow buttons :(
mesmerising video
The phone looks really sleek. Where did you buy it from?
I ordered mine from Japan through Buyee, but I know you can find them on eBay (though they're usually pretty expensive)
So does it work in the us or not?
This phone does work in the US but you have to be with a carrier that still supports 3G
Yes it does! I use Mint with mine, but the catch is is that you don't get very good service because the phone doesn't support all of the US wireless bands
Does the keypad work as a trackpad?
Nope 😞 You have to use the arrow keys to move the cursor around, it's kinda a pain in the butt
tysm for this!! i live in the us and really want a flip phone but i researched and 902kc/903kc only works here ヽ(*。>Д
