Beautifully done! Of course some of the drama a full orchestra brings is missing but we get a better understanding of the colors various instruments in an orchestra adds to the overall palette, in my view. I wonder if Ludwig himself ever thought about transcribing his great concerto for a string quintet and solo violin. I was particularly impressed with how well the double bass mimicked the timpani.
