I've found that the autopilot takes the altitude from the time you pull the ALT knob, not the ENGAGE knob, regardless if you pulled alt before engage. Therefore it kept levelling off at 4900 at the point when I had preselected it before autopilot was engaged. This is not like modern airliner glareshield panel logic. No idea if this is realistic or not, just what I experienced.
Rotating the dial adjusts the selected course/radial (OBS). Rotating the arrow adjusts the heading bug for use with the flight directors and autopilot. Martyn - Just Flight
Hi, I am really loving the Vulcan but following these videos I cannot seem to track TACAN stations, i was able to do that using someone else's video which was not as in depth as these, more of a get you flying quick, that was also using the rapid start option, now I am trying to do it more by the book, and starting the engines in the normal mode, it all seems to function as intended, follows VOR stations but when I switch to TACAN the TACAN pointer no longer moves and shows no distance as it previously did. Do you have any ideas what I could be doing wrong for this specific problem?
correction, i cannot get TACAN to work at all no matter how I start it, maybe is something with MSFS rather than the Vulcan? anyone else having a problem with TACAN?
old post, you prob sorted it by now, but you need to tune the tacan freq on the Navigator’s TACAN panel in the rear cockpit. (accessed by pressing the screw to get the the panel to show), select the lever on the MFS selector, to the line (with no name/central normal) for Tacan use & should work fine. (details are in the manual etc)
I am wondering if anyone else has a problem hearing navaid ident sound? I have volumes up. Also I have no issue hearing the ident with other aircraft such as the Cessna 310.
By far my favorite bomber in msfs

An explanation between the difference between rotating the whole dial on the beam compass vs just the arrow pointer would be great.

@@CambsPilot Thank you.
Will there be an update for this to work with msfs 2024?
