- In this video, I will share how I saved money, BIGTIME, by DIY installing carpet on my stairs using the ROBERTS 10-600 3/16" Crown, 120V, 15-Amp, 20 Gauge Electric Stapler. This narrow crown stapler worked really well, and was also inexpensive compared to the more professional carpet staplers. Narrow crown staples are very good at disappearing into the threads of the carpet, which is very important for a good professional looking stair carpet.

Thanks! I knew that carpet guys used electric staplers back in the day. Looks to be the perfect solution for carpet etc. I just priced a Milwaukee cordless. Wow. The small size is a big bonus. With no safety I can shoot bees and wasps in mid air that try to come in my shop!
It is a great little stapler for a DIYer. I imagine as a professional, you could probably wear it out or break it but we have done two sets of stair carpet with this one and it is as good as new.
Very helpful! Putting the staples in it’s not obvious. I kept placing it over the metal rod and that’s not how it works.
Thank you! Glad I could help you out with your stapler!!
Roberts pro line is the all black electric stapler. The wear item the internal spring under the head. Btw those staples hold like mad so you dont need alot to hold the carpet. Also those staplers are good for more than just carpet. It can be used for many other project's.
Thanks for the info! Any suggestions for other uses? I know it could work for upholstery and really light woodworking. I have some wine boxes that are held together with little staples like that.
@@CoolStuffGuysLike like you said, small carpentry projects, repair. Upolstry, tagging up string, working with hides, putting plastic up with firring strips for weather striping, arts and crafts projects, stapling plastic parts, ect, ect. You get the idea. Anything that needs a staple of that size with good penetration. Its not a normal staple gun, it's small but powerful.
Can u use it to make picture frames
Yes, this would work to make picture frames as long as it is thin enough wood. In most cases you would be better off with a brad nailer though.
