Thank you for the great video! Quite often during design process, we have to update the model in SketchUp from time to time. It would be even better if you have explained how to re-import a revised model and replace the existing one at exact location.
thank you very much for your tutorial, a question why when exporting from sketchup brings some small spheres to the models? how can i remove this before import
@@aldaour this happens when you create group by group, you have to manage the groups better so that not so many appear specifically when you export directly from datasmith, I only discovered one way to prevent them from exploding the entire model, but your entire project will be disorganized, another option is export your elements to fbx, my best solution was to learn 3dmax and make the 3dmax model, everything flows better and there are no problems
Hi, Is there a tutorial for reimporting or reloading 3D (SKP) without changing the materials I already edited in Unreal Engine? Whenever I reimported, the materials went back to default. I hope you can help me with this. Thanks.
Thanks for this Video Justin! There is a small problem with Unreal 5 when importing a file from Sketchup using Datasmith. All the materials get linked to a parent and become sort of instances that they are hard to adjust ( Reflection, bump...) unless creating a new material and then assigning it (time consuming process). By any chance, do you have a solution for this issue? Thanks!
I have installed Datasmith extention in 5.02 restarted it but I can't see the ICON on top . I checked again it is installed how to I get to see the ICON to stat import my datasmith file? Thank you.

Infelizmente precisa de uma versão PRO do Sketchup, o instalador não deixa instalar sem uma versão PRO do sketchup
Hi, thanks for this video! Im currently struggling because of an issue when loading the plugin installation. A error message says "a required program cannot be find to run the plugin" (approximately cause Im french and this is only a translation). I m using sketchup pro 2022 but the trial version. Do you know if it could be the reason?
