I just got my first D. pentaloris sling yesterday! Mine is very spunky and ran around my coffee table twice when I was housing it. And now, about 24 hr later it has already started digging and webbing under its cork bark. Big personality in a teeny tiny body!
How are they personality-wise?
1) As an: "I need to do this myself!" I'm actually loving the little sling enclosures. It's a great idea to sell slings with enclosures as a package. they really do a great little kit.
2) Why can't you do videos with your hair up? Maybe I missed a memo.
3) I have been looking for a Jumping Spider, to care for over the winter and I could not find one, A few days ago a Platycryptus undatus (Tan Jumping Spider but this one's Gray) landed in my hand. No one understands my excitement.
4) While looking for Jumping spiders I found a Wold spider (R. rabida) with 4 legs. He has since molted and has 8 legs again.
If you read this far you might ask, why is this guy rambling on.
1) No one cares about my spider hobby, so I need to tell someone.
B) Comments mean engagement and even if no one sees my comment, it helps Kat's Channel RUclips Algorithm.
You can tell us more about your hobby then :) I know like nothing about spiders but I would still read.
And btw, did you try following some FB groups or subreddits? I'm sure you would find people who share same love for spidies there :)

@@m.marten6525 Honestly, the fACEBOOK "Spider groups" go 2 ways, you have 1-People who love spiders and want to learn ways of preserving them and 2-People who have a phobia and just want to know what they just killed. It's a weird dichotomy.
I suspect you're in a perfect place to talk spiders. I've personally had some great conversations in the comment section of Kat's videos!

First time I've ever heard of someone describing a spider's size as scary when referring to it being small.
The enclosures including all you need to set up your own is the best idea ever!
I like the little water dish and hide. It's worth buying just to get them. I wish I had a little water dish and hide when I was growing up!
Never had slings before. Usually, when I bought Tarantulas, they had been alive for at least 2 or 3 years. Now, my living situation is different and I am older, so my days of keeping Tarantulas are probably over! But the memories are the continuous joy and love for Spiders that live in my heart and spirit! Enjoy your time with your Spider 🕷️ Family ❤️ as they grow!

The pentaloris is a lowercase p, it's only the first part of the name which is capitalised 😊

This is a really cool setup. I love that you can order both the arachnid and the enclosure from one source. And they clearly want you to succeed with your pet keeping because they sent you everything you could need for a starter kit. Love the little hide and plant decor. Such a great company.

Honestly that “kit” is a fantastic idea! Just thinking about shopping for all the “ingredients” for an enclosure is a bit discouraging. But this takes the guesswork out! I don’t have a tarantula and don’t plan on getting one, but I love the videos!

My wife and I are new to the hobby of exotics, she has a ball python and a corn snake..and I've been dipping my toes in the idea of getting a T for years.....but the enclosures is what always got me. I think you def sold me on where I need to go to get my first sling. I've been eyeing a Halopus Colombia for a while, but that there D. Pentaloris or even the C.Darlingi are looking mighty fine...

I have a female Davus pentaloris named Bellatrix; she was about 2” when I got her. She just molted last week and she’s looking absolutely gorgeous. They are a really beautiful species.

d pentalorises are rly nice they can be quite scooty tho. they will grow quite fast but not super fast
Jamie’s Tarantulas has been doing complete packages like this for years.
I work with resin, it does work well on spiders and other arachnids or exoskeleton insects just has to be done in steps.

Iam from the UK and I have just bought my first Mexican red at 36 years old!!! This is all in regards to having a phobia towards them!!! And a renewal lifestyle in life!!! My degree is in law and this is what i have to let me loose (spiders)!!... 🕷️I have no tattoos however I do understand that spiders are = the same.... Once you have one!!... You just can't stop.... My friend tells me that she has jumping spiders also!.… and im going in next week!!! 🕷️💓..... Can't wait!!!
