I utterly understand where the husband is coming from. If somebody shot all those family members of mine, I would not have the ability to forgive. I can not begin to think or imagine what it is like to loose somebody that is close to my family, in the hands of another human being. When she said that she may not be bruised on the outside, but she’s bruised on the inside, I immediately teared up. What a lesson in the power of faith in god and I can honestly say that this couple has the power of forgiveness that I will never have. Thank you for sharing that.

I live here in Charleston. It was the worst feeling. My heart cried.
I was just thinking about this horrific tragedy. I know she needed therapy just like the other survivors. It was nothing short of remarkable how the well the citizens of Charleston handled it!!

That church was home for my father's family. My grandmother is the treasurer still to this day. She was blessed to have not noticed the date. She was supposed to take her report down to the church that night. I called her after hearing the news at 4 in the morning. She didn't immediately answer & omg, the fear in my heart. I knew most of those people, grew up at Mother Emanuel. It breaks my heart to know what happened to those people in that room we migrated to after service to eat and fellowship further. I can't imagine the pain they feel.

@@mrtony80 Hear me out, I know it's hard to believe, that question you asked is everyone's question and it's a dang good one, but hear me out; God gave humans free will so that we could experience what it means to be able to love eachother. Love is the best feeling on earth but you can only do that of your own will. If someone forces you to love eachother, then it's not really love, it's fake love and we can't feel the depth... But with free will came freedom of choice, and many people abuse their free will and choose to do evil... But God still let's bits of 'Good' come from the suffering we cause, whether it is lessons on how to help, overcome, love, how to keep hope, how to stop hate, etc.. that's what people mean when they say "It's a part of His Plan". Now the evil and pain we cause for eachother isn't a part of his Plan, but the lessons we learn on Loving one another and how to evolve is a part of it. That's why at the end when she says "I can help white Supremecists learn to not hate, we've got to learn to love one another".. that is true, pure wisdom of God that comes from pain and hurt, and other people will see her strength and what believing in God does for her, and they become inspired to feel that love and forgiveness. When Jesus was crucified he had a moment of humanity on the cross, for a split second he had thought God betrayed him, but said of his torturers: "Father forgive them, they know not what they do." Those words were the greatest words ever spoken in the history of mankind. Because people saw that moment and thought "If the Romans could hurt this man and in the end he prayed for God to forgive them, that kind of Love is something stronger than anything on this earth". And that doesnt come from non belief, or without the wisdom that 'God exists, he is real and believing in him is a revolutionary world changing power'" That knowledge is a part of his plan, the abuse of our free will he gave us is a part of ours
It’s incredible that I never even knew about this until today, even though this was 3 years ago and it’s just surprising that they hide things so well because I’m always focused on my life but I should be caring about other people too in life. We are all the same no matter what our gender is or what race we are or what our name is we are all human please take this into consideration but we need to speak out about stuff like this and one more thing I’m 12 and I’m caring about this.

I attended a church as the only white dude for a year. Very good people. I don't understand why, why that guy did what he did. hatred takes no thought. I still don't know why he did it.

The 911 call is so suspicious too. The woman pretends she's hiding underneath the table.. the table that's literally right next to the 'shooter'. How is that hiding? She's on the phone with 911 as he's staring at her.
