IS-2 II vs 703 (II), 703 (II) weighs more, same power, is faster.
IS-2 II vs IS-3A, IS-3A has less powerful engine, weighs the same is even faster.

Hi QB! Thank you for your continuous hard work on WOT and tank reviews. I played 6 years this game untill recently having over a year break from it and i feel like completely lost track of all tier 8 premiums, new equipment and mechanics. In a game where literally 5 tanks are NOT on the hill, so precisely 2/3 of your team is on the hill :)
Apparently the Himmelsdorf encounter now has rubble around the building on the cap circle. So not only are the spawns different, but the cap circle is more protected against enemy pushes. Very interesting changes to it. Hopefully it will make the Encounter mode a bit less of a clusterfuck on the hill, and instead make it a more strategic kind of fight.
I personally would get the turret first and use the 85, you can double shot much easier and your next shot is ready really quick which allows you to surprise tanks that expect you to be reloading.
Also mistakes aren't as punishing as you reload really quick, currently my reload is 4.8 seconds

I've been off WoT for about 20-ish months(just as the Italian tree was being added) and I just returned a month ago and have played quite a bit since then. I am still learning all the "new" tanks in the game and was trying to rely a bit on my former knowledge of strong/weak sides of different tank lines... imagine my surprise when I found out IS-2-II's gun depression after one bullied me in my medium tank on a ridge line.. Then I found out IS-3-II has 8deg of gun depression... it's one of the worst design choices in this game that I find out after returning... and they actually fixed a few of the old pains in that time.
That changed spawn location on Himmelsdorf is great and a very underrated part of this update. It's a change that they didn't really need or have to make, nobody would've cared, but they changed it regardless. Good stuff
Next upcoming premium tank: IS-2-II A, an auto-reloading double barrelled Soviet tier 8 premium.
I found it surprisingly hard getting used to after playing with the 703. That 2 sec charge time, while nice, is screwing with me.

Another nice review! It was very helpful to hear also some modules' tips. I feel like the fact that this tank can also bounce shots is making it rather powerful though.

@@mahamudra911 The only difference is: Both the 44 and 34-2 are basically the same base design and support the same playstyle but with the simple fact that the 44 outshines its chinese counterpart in every way. There's literally no reason to play the 34-2 after grinding through it. And oh boi, it's a fucking chore btw.

In my first match with my IS-2-II I did 3.5k dmg and then the next match 4.2k dmg. I shoted double barrel shots more often BC no-one was just rushing me. I used the top gun and top turret.
how do you switch between single and double shots?
gave this bad boy turbo and didnt put the heavier radio on it to give this beast 40km/h on flat terrain. I get to most flanks just behind the medium tanks to destroy any light/medium tanks that are unfortunate enough to come across. combine that with the ~2.3k DPM and good turret armor to gain an incredibly good breakthrough tank used to carry medium lines to get behind other heavies. Can't wait to put off road driving on it, too.
Once again, the tier 8 premium completely outperforms the tech tree tire 8. Thank you, wargaming.

There is something that I would like to share with people. Instead of putting your repair and med kit on the 4 and 5 keys, put them on the q and e keys. Also, you can put the fire extinguisher on the left alt key. This is faster than the 4, 5, and 6 keys. Fast enough to where i can almost instantly repair my tracks, because you would use 4 then 5 normally, q then e works the same way.

I got my hands on IS22 today. Your module guide is definitely useful. I free xped to the second gun, then with those x5 bonuses I unlocked everything quite fast.
Didn't ace KV3 though, neigher did I ace T150. Those x5 bonus are too powerful I elited them very fast and I feel guilty to play elited tanks now.

I'm early so this is my sum up about this tank after buying it and rocking a solid 67% winrate in 30ish battles:
The tank is pretty good and imo is one of the better tier 8 heavies. The gun is very reliable.
The hull is trash so try to hide it if you have a chance.
Turret is solid but also has a weak spot (copula ofc).
Verdict: kind of a glass double canon.

Master in IS-2-II. Awesome tank, but yes, this LMB for salvo is a little weard. Its not the easiest tank to play, but if you know how, it is great

To be fair in the UK if you say you "cocked something up" or "Cock it up" as it became, it isn't actually that offensive, since it's using the old english term for Cocked which is 'crooked' so it's basically 'to make it wonky'.
I mean you don't use it around small children but it's hardly THAT offensive. I say this as a Brit :).

Great video Quickybaby but i think that you should also include recommended equipment for the reviewed tank as some players will have no idea what to put on it especially since you cannot put gun rammer on this thing.

i did that with my 268v4 ,blocked a double shot that was meant for my ally
I had that happen at a critical moment when I fired a double shot and another tank suddenly got in the way blocked my kill shot -- very disheartening cause you know you're about to get boned while reloading.
If I had fired the double shot on the Löwe I would have hit the upper plate, why, because RNG.

Had a battle with a friend vs 3 randoms at an internet cafe when it first came out.
No joke, it was a 3 1/2 hour battle. All resources on the map were gone. Everyone had been hit with multiple super-weapons. Only one enemy had a nuke left, and it was charging. He put the silo deep in his territory, surrounded by flak everything. I thought there was no way to get to it, until I realized where he put it and I could manuver my harriers manually. I destroyed his silo with 6 seconds left. My friend and I raised our hands in victory, and I heard "S***********!!!" from the guy upstairs (yes the internet cafe had an upstairs and downstairs). 10 minutes later, my friend and I destroyed major buildings of the enemy's, and they quit out and left before we could come upstairs and congratulate them on a hard fought battle...

in typical wargaming fasion the premium tank of the same tier is absolutely better
better alpha damage better armour better speed better on the move accuraccy etc

@@LumbridgeTeleport 180mm of effective armour lower and upper plate is nearly useless. the side armour is the same as the IS heavy tank a tier lower. has a decent sized cupola weakspot that is nonexistant on the premium version, also the gun handling is better on the 703 because of its huge improvements in soft stats. the gun aim time and dispersion only matters to an extent.
I have not played it and will not do so in the near future, but from the get go, i have had a feeling, that this is2-II will be the most exiting one for me. It kinda reminds of the polish T8 and further more, the old german t8 vk and I loved these. Yes the VK out of the meta, but back in the day, it was kinda in the same position as the polish one is or was now and it feels that the is2-II falls kinda into the same place + the double barrel stuff, so a bit better i guess.
The dual shot RNG mostly rolls low, I'm averaging about 560-570 per double shot. Maybe that's just my luck, but when trying to finish a tank, I'm aiming at tanks with 550 hp or less.

Funny story, I saved up 100K exp on the KV-3 for the IS-2-II, but when I logged in to research the IS-2-II there was only 34K on my KV-3. "WTF?!?!" I thought. Then it occurred to me, I spent a couple thousand gold on free XP last week to skip the EBR 90 wheel and engine grind. It came from the KV-3. OOPS. Only took me two more battles to get enough xp for the IS-2-II, all good :)

The enemy is22 was a really good team player, keeping an eye on them and blocked you from shooting at them.
Higher power to weight ratio actually doesn't matter because IS-2-II has 1,34 terrain resistance on medium terrain. So 703 II is not only faster but also more mobile overall - outside roads and city maps (hard terrain). So 703 II is better in every way, except DPM and accuracy... of course until they release 703 II (100).
Isnt the double barrels work kind of like italians....shoot single until you can end the enemy with double show?
They broke the game with wheeled vehicles. No worry about breaking game with this line. The tier 8 IS-2-II armor is made of left over Ikea boxes. I get pen'd by everything I go against.

In my opinion. 300 alpha dmg is the best you can have. well atleast up to tier 8 games. its not too low and not too high aswell. you dont have that long reload that you have with 390 alpha dmg, which means you can take multiple tanks at the same time, without them being flanking you cause of your long reload. to top it off the gun handling is usually alot better on 300 alpha dmg which means in trading with 390 alpha dmg, yoiu can drive out shoot and fall back to building quickly while with 390 alpha dmg you bounce.

Today 2 matches against the IS-2-II. *Lost both. No chance* . In both matches the IS-2-II didn't score high but absorbed a lot of shots, the armour is insane. This tank is changing the meta.

Looked like the red IS2 II was trying to block your guns - was putting his guns in front of QB's on purpose, like what some used to do to arty, to get them to kill themselves when they fired.

one thing i figure is that if you do a double shot assuming both shots pen you can have an effective 30% roll
i still thin the doubble barrels just looks stupid, i hope the amount of tanks with 2 barrels in 1 turret stays the low as possible
but taking this mechanic and putting it on historic 2 guns 2 "turrets" tanks like the M3Lee would be nice

got the is 2 ll 4 skill crew currently loving it but hating the arty magnet its got on its back and the inabillity to damage a super pershings weak spot on the turret
Is 2 II is great The highest dm Ive got this far is 5,3k and thats whitin 15games and the rest if the games where like 2-3k dm.
I rekomend this tank 4 almost eweryone its just a realy fun tank to play.

Ever heard of game mechanic called "balance". Yeah, WG neither.
P.S. I am not talking about double-barreled tanks but about current game state in general. Biggest innovation they can implement is balancing vehicles out, reworking maps and monetizing the game via non P2W methods.

despite the power creep, it still holds its own really well
I think all barrels in this game should be psychical, so you have to watch terrain and builds, make sure you don't hit, now i'm just imagining sword fighting with tank guns lol
I Don't Understand,this is2 II when the two gun is loaded and if you fire only one the second barrel you have to wait for another 8sec. in that case which the second gun is alredy loaded.
