If you're getting hunted on Support, you have two easy/good options. 1. Play Baptiste and play selfishly/closely with your team 2. Swap Moira and never die again
I normally just go Brig when I’m being easily targeted as support. Like against an enemy somber or tracer. I never really have a problem with tanks honestly. And if we needed more heals and that was happening probably Kiri
Zen is really rough in those ranks because his healing is so low and teammates tend to be reliant on constant heavy healing. You must do a lot of dmg to compensate, which is rarely the case.
But once you learn how to do damage, who to target and when to engage, Zen is pretty much an unstoppable force in these ranks since they never see (or hear) you coming
Your wording is right but incorrect. "Team mates tend to be reliant on constant heavy healing" is wrong, the correct wording is "people don't know how to STOP TAKING DAMAGE FOR ONE GOD DAMN SECOND"
But you understand that he isn't losing DPS by doing that right? The reason it's a tech is because the gun has recovery time so it actually doesn't impact heal/damage ability. If anything it's a good habit for when he actually gets better and can snap to his teammates.
Zen is probably the best hero to learn the game with. You have no escape ability, no wall climb, no tp, no immortality, only your kick. Good positioning, good aim and cover usage is the most crucial on Zen and YOU WILL LEARN IT THE HARD WAY, but it will also make you a better player overall on every hero. With only 40 hours on Zen I managed to onetrick him to masters and would advice any new player to play and learn him no matter how tempting something as easy as Moira or Mercy is.
I have this problem where when I play Zen I'm FORCED to pay attention to those things and climbed from plat to masters, but when I use an "easier hero" Its like I over rely on escape tools and play too aggressively and fell back to diamond. I agree he's great for learning with. Brig is probably the exception but that's because my favorite play style with her is picking one party member and being their personal shield.
This is so real, I started the game as a Mercy main but wanted to challenge myself by learning to play Zen. I feel like that experience alone really helped me when it comes to playing any character. Now he’s my go to pick when my team needs help securing kills.
8:45 I love Emon for this, chat will say some dumb things and he will politely explain the thought process and such about mistakes, positions, CDs, etc. Genuinely, I dislike chat during these spectating cause they fr all think they can give advice and know better than the person they're spectating or at times, think they know more than Emon. Of course Emon is not perfect but i would wager and listen to a skilled player's advice than a unknown rando on twitch.
Love how he always adapt his tips to the level of the rank the submitter play on, there is too many peoples talking like bronze/silver play out like a top 500 where everyone know his character perfectly, many critics in the chat are probably not better than the one he is spectating anyway
This guy seems to have watched a Baptise unranked to gm and only picked up the "Shoot Shoot Heal" but not the "Shoot the enemy, heal your teammates". Dude keeps trying to heal the enemies.
I'm gonna be honest- I've missed scuffed green screen moments SO MUCH! I get that Emongg wants a certain content creation standard or wants it to look a certain way but I miss it and hope it comes back soon!
Seems like they might be a bit overwhelmed with trying to do as much as they can without actually using everything. They don't lose anything from doing the usual shoot heal rhythm, but they aren't really using it with purpose That and the reloading a lot which is understandable bad habit that I also do
They definitely got lost in the sauce of how high level players min max baptiste's shoot shoot heal because they focus so hard on the combo they forgot it has to hit to be effective. They also played jump king the whole time
I see what they were trying to do with bap with the shoot/heal tempo but they never adjusted targets when doing so. But this is also console I think so that's gonna be tough regardless. Also its okay to charge exo jump but you dont always have to use it, keeping it somewhat charged throughout the fight is good and jump when needed.
I tried playing Zen in Ranked once. Monkey, Genji, & Sombra triple teamed me every time I got to the fight for a whole Eichenwalde match. People hate Zen for some reason.
Half the time he used burst heal he was too far away to heal his team and only healed himself at full HP. Some of the times he threw lamp it was very unnecessary and when he did need it, it was on cooldown. MANY times he would shoot heal nades at the enemies with no ally in sight. MANY times he would get overly focused on DPSing when half his team or more was half hp. This game didnt need to be this hard and thats without mentioning the positioning.
I think his Zen needs work on positioning but outside of that his bap was really nice. Just using burst heal more would get more value out of it being on cd than just holding it until you need it.
If anyone was wondering why Bap is healing the enemies sometimes. It looks like hes fully locked into the rhythm of shoot shoot heal shoot shoot heal as his default. Which is one of the recommended modes by KarQ. The other being shoot heal shoot heal. Its such a minor mistake, i wouldnt stress it
2:03 emongg saying if you see Dev run. I learn something depressing about overwatch 2. Support are the team Piller. Support decide what hero you picked 💀.
@HmongHeroo sure, but at least homie is doing it. The ability to snap the heal on someone else and then reacquire the enemy target will come with time

Displaying chat creates more engagement between his twitch and RUclips watchers so just disregard if you don't like

Tempo. Happens at high level play too, it probably not something you notice until a low level player does it.
