On reading the part where Gus tells her that the “cancer has lit up his body like a Christmas tree” I felt a shudder down my spine and took almost 15 seconds before I could start reading again.
This breaks my heart in so many different ways. At the start of 7th grade we got a new dance teacher. We knew she was sick, just not the extent to which she was sick. It turned out she had CF, but had recently received lung transplants. She was a phenomenal dance teacher, but her body began rejecting the transplants. She was eventually admitted into the ICU and passed away exactly a year ago today. We held a tribute dance show, and this was the finale song used to honor her life. The song itself makes me cry every damn time, and with the added pain of these scenes and the heartbreak of this story coupled with the heartbreak I experience daily in remembering her story was really painful. Brilliant job to the creators of this video. Brilliant job to John Green. Brilliant job to the singer(s). I will love and remember you always Ms. Hawkins 💗💗
My Gosh , this movie is really killing me. I would really hoped, that I would be living in some love story, like this one. 😍😍. But, as the author said, life is not a wishing granting-factory 😞😞
Everyone always says read the book cos it’s better on most movies/books but with this in my opinion I think the movie is better cos u rlly feel the actors ❤️❤️❤️
