@@loudandvividbeauty omg lol 💀
Btw pale skin is much more vulnerable to rashes, imperfections and damage etc. plus you can easily see them much more

I can't even complain anymore about the art supplies it's just me at this point now 😭😭
LMAO
😂😂😂😂😂
Girl AMEN!!
Same
Rightttt
As an art teacher, I really REALLY appreciate you sharing your process with us. Often young people think that your level of skill is just "talent' and don't realize the amount of work, exploring, experimenting, revising and skill development involved.
^This Part!
Thank you for informing me about this, I have been trying to get better so now I know how!
Thank you dearest art teacher!
What a loving comment! 💜
OMG YOUR MY ART TEACHER, BECAUSE I KNOW YOUR NAME, AND LAST NAME (well the last name is what we call our teacher) HIII🪐
This!
Tip for crayons (from a broke artist who uses them often): A paper with more tooth (a grainy, slightly textured surface) will give you less of a waxy finish or a plasticy sheen. Your artwork is already amazing, though! Hope this helped!
Great tip! 👍🏻I use cheap supplies when I draw too but crayons scare me but this was so cool that I have to try it out now.
I don't know why people don't talk about this, but your handwriting is GORGEOUS!
SHE is gorgeous!!
And agreed, I wish my handwriting looked like that😭
IKR so stylish
We do, I think it just comes up more when she does her bullet journalling videos 😂 Go check those out if you want! Her diary designs are beautiful!
Ikr
This girl is unreal, I'm binge watching her art videos. She's incredibly talented 💚
Thank you so much
& skilled✨
@@lilymarie7112 yeah 👍
Ikr, but she ain’t just talented she is also really beautiful like girl!!!
@@TemiDansoArt you’re so talented
I actually like the texture the crayons bring to the final product, it looks like actual skin with pores and all
I literally scrolled down to the comments to say this!
Not me
Am I the only one impressed by her cursive? It looks like every hobby lobby text art piece. That’s amazing!
I actually love the gritty texture of the wax for this close up.. it looks like real skin texture & pores👁👄👁
i dont know why i laughed at “pores“ agreed tho.
Same
Oh, makes sense.
Ikr! Like if you really want to have a smooth face then use prismacolours or something
No, but I do like how it looks.
I don't know why but I love watching people use crayons to create art, it just makes me so happy and nostalgic.
It makes me wanna get out some crayons too
Yes! And omg I love your pfp
When she can draw a perfect circle, you know she is professional
The art is AMAZING as usual, but let's talk about her calligraphy!
the blues/purples/oranges elevated it so much!
That was an absolutely amazing add!!! I’m definitely going to incorporate that into my own world!
When you use crayons, you gotta use colored pencil on top of it to make everything smooth out to one flat color! Did that a bunch when I was a kid
I used markers on color pencils to make the colors pop more. Clear nail polish sets it all in. 😍
You can also scrape off the excess wax that clumps and enough of the pigment will stay on the paper. you can reapply and do this multiple times until you get the flat look you want with out the waxy texture. You end up with a mess when you're done though. Lol
@@RedSeabird96 oh yeah I forgot about that completely! I used to do that a lot too
Or marker to give more pop in the texture, I did that too.
@@LadyCoyKoi I thought I was the only who did this
I am so happy I am not the only one
my mom is an artist and always mentions adding blue and purple to skin tones, but i don't see her blend paint much so i've never seen just how much it helps....wow that's cool and impressive :0 your art is always so beautiful btw it is helping me draw more dark skinned characters Actually well
I love how the drawing immediately got more vibrant after you found the box of colorful crayons ♡♡♡
Just a quick tip for when your using solvent (with pencils or anything), you don't need to have a lot on your brush. I usually wipe off any of the excess on a tissue or paper towel until it feels almost dry. This will both help it blend better and not have that grease stain around the edge. Hope this helped!
Thanks for sharing!
Didn't expect to see you here!
@@tweety26ist Holy shirt, you watch Temi too???
@@jacksonlevy5464 I discovered her a few days or maybe a week ago! I recently subscribed!
@@tweety26ist That's so cool that we have similar tastes even outside of The Merkins!
4:31 omg her hand writing is so beautiful!😍
You are legit, one of the most talented artists I've ever come across. How you don't have a milli+ subs is an absolute mystery, you're out here holding down melanated art and artists with your **incredible** talent and skill, I'm amazed. You should be teaching your skill as a profession, it's that high tier.
@@CandiceGoddard Wow... wow. I had no idea something that evil and demonic happened, but I guess I shouldn't be surprised. And yes, if you have any favorite African artists that focus on melanin features, I'd love to know their names.
This is coming from a nice place but try to stop saying talent because it's not something you can be born with and be able to do it takes work and practice I'm not being mean I just want you to know incase someone takes it the wrong way ♡
@@Mel66507 it can be talent you just have to be the chosen one
@@goodbye6676 😐
@@Mel66507 it's true that's why only some can make a sustainable career in art because they have to be extraordinary and that's not just from practicing
as someone who lacks experience with shading since my style is cartoony but i still want to learn to do realistic art and shade this gives me both inspiration to practice and hope.thank you
WOW. it kinda looks like it's a photo but was edited to be a lil grainy and more vintage :D
Ahh I quess we both love temi
I love the way you talk through your working process. I actually learned a few techniques I have never heard about from this video :]
I've been wasting precious sketchbook paper when i should've just used the transferring tecnique. Well, you learn something new everyday. 🤷 Thanks for reviewing the crayons!
i love how thoroughly you test the tools beforehand!
You been a great impression because I was going to give up on art but then I started watching you you made me preserve in art thank you.
I'm so glad Renata, keep going🥰
That's great ! But btw , *persevere
@@justflamingo4114 you didn’t need to correct them but ok
When crayons have more shades and aesthetic colors than the actual make up palette 👁👄👁
This turned out amazing! I’m really surprised how well crayons worked to get a realistic drawing 😳 I have seen people use crayons and then scrape the layers away to kind of blend the crayon. I wonder if that would work with your drawing technique/style?
That looks so good! This makes me want to go buy some crayons … at 58 years old 😅
No reason not too. Go buy yourself some fun 😁😜
Luckily crayons have no age limit 😊
I definitely want to see the colored pencil version of this drawing.
Yeah same
One way to blend cheap crayons is by taking a sharp took such as an exacto knife or even a tooth pick and use it to scrape off the top layer of the crayon. I’ve used this trick a lot and it really works!
Something I love about your process is including vibrant tones in the work. It kinda reminds me of impressionism. I think I remember my art professor saying that, in impressionism, there is no pure white and pure black, its always a shade of another color (like yellow, blue, or purple).
when you manage to draw lips looking so kissable, you know you succeeded.
Ah thanks so much!
the wording-
I feel like this is both a sign of brutal honesty of horniness as well as a compliment of how realistically she could draw with crayons

Here's an idea. As an artist myself i have quite a lot of products that i have barely or never used, if you have that too maybe you could make a artwork with only stuff that you barely/never use!
Good idea, bud!
Yea that’s a great idea😊
*eats sandwich in a way that makes Anne-Fleur question if this comment is relating to the video*
@Drippy fishy i'm only twelve, lol
The texture of the paper brings out the drawing and it's details. Beautiful work! This video makes me wanna try this. It's been awhile since I used crayola stuff. 😀
I love how you actually enjoy your art and not criticize it!
Even if I had the most expensive set of art supplies I couldn’t do half of this lol. You are so talented!!
I really wanna get my hands on all the Crayola Colors of the World line - the crayons, the pencils, even the water based markers.
Great video, btw.
Your understanding of color and tone, especially when it comes to skin in amazing.
"it just shows me that your girls still got it" LIKE YESS YOU DO!!! this was so amazing :D especially with crayons?? like i never could've imagined it'd work :) you proved me wrong
I'm waiting. For sure you've done great sweetheart!
Hope you love it!
The video hasn't started yet but I already know she'll create another beautiful piece! Can't wait to watch I got my drawing stuff ready!! 💕
I would love to see some come draw with me videos. I'm a new artist learning how to draw and use mixed media projects.
I’m love with this channel you’re a great teacher I can see your process so clear and I can implement this!!! So refreshing so many ppl don’t really show you how!
This was the first video I've seen on this channel. FANTASTIC! I never thought such realism could be achieved with wax crayons. The ongoing commentary was wonderful; it really gave me an understanding of not only what you were doing but why you were doing it as well. Many thanks!
So first time around I had to watch silently. .I was concentrating so hard, you know...focused on right where you were making marks. When you got to the white gelly roll...I'm like "wait, what is she doing?! It looks like the person has chapped lips, or a disease. Stop! Don't do that. Oh no, it's all ruined." So then I sat back, kind of disappointed...and boom, the whole picture came back into focus instead of just the tiny section you were working on and suddenly they were lips again, but with lip gloss on them. I was amazed! It was a tree/forest kind of moment. It was gorgeous! I can't do that with colored pencil...yet, can't see me doing it with crayon...yet...lol. So then I went back later and started from the beginning but this time with the volume on and yes, I agree, Crayola should cut you a check! I wouldn't have bothered with Crayola if it wasn't for you and a few other artists that keep showing you can make great looking art from budget friendly supplies. Sometimes I prefer them over the more expensive supplies. Thank you.
the way your nails matched the rose swatches was soooo satisfying. Did you plan that??? Also omg your rendering always blows me away
Hi Temi, your art is AMAZING! Your videos are so chill, and I can’t tell you how much I’m looking forward to the bullet journal vids I just saw, and appreciate your tips and info videos so much. Your voice is so chill, and I can’t thank you enough for your effort you put into your channel.

Surprisingly if you set crayons in hot water for a little they can blend better! That’s what I use when I have to use crayons I don’t use them often but when I do this helps me then again I don’t do realism 😅 and is helpful if you don’t have solvent
That's a cool tip! I have solvent but I'm curious to try this out anyway.

The deep tones are beautiful!

I’m thinking eyeshadow might work as well and yes you can totally use stick pastels, you can shave them with a sharp tool and use that powder with a brush or fingers
