I live in Western, NY which is heavily forested wilderness with mountain dirt trails that go for miles. I may be moving to Atlantic, Iowa. I've been there a few times now. I have lived in Western,NY for 54 yrs and would miss the beautiful scenery here.
@@EKEACRES well, people don’t move to Iowa for the scenery lol. But, it’s where I live and there are a lot of benefits to living in Iowa so I just enjoy the scenery I have. Atlantic is a really beautiful small town with some rolling hills and you could drive to West Des Moines for all of the amenities in about an hour. and, you can always travel. But anyway, welcome! And thanks for watching and commenting! 🙂
The trails are either made of concrete or asphalt. Asphalt breaks up a lot easier than concrete, I guess. That’s what I read anyway. So they re-paved the bridge in Adel with concrete instead of using asphalt and are thinking of doing that more in the future. I hope that answers your question. Thanks for watching! 😊
One of Iowa's hidden gems! Thanks for sharing.
Yes, it is! Thank you so much for watching!
Love this bike trail. Redfield does have a good breakfast at their American Legion on Saturday mornings.
Good to know! Thanks for watching!
Glad you took my suggestion, it really is the most scenic section!
@@timnewman1172 Yes, it was! Next time, I’m going to save the best for last. 🙂

Jack Kerouac indeed came thru Redfield, but he stopped in Stuart...
@@timnewman1172 well, aren’t you just a wealth of knowledge! 😉
Happy walking. 🚶🏼♀️😊
@@Dumballa thank you! You too!!! 😄
@@WalkingwithWendy I'll be going out in a few hours. 😄
Greetings from Ames. I need to check out this trail. I bet it's beautiful in Autumn
I bet it is too! I can't wait to revisit all of these trails throughout the four seasons. Thanks for watching!
Why would they put concrete on it?

Much easier to maintain, the asphalt was always crumbling & needing repair...
