This is not how you do it ...
Takes way to much time, you don’t have to remove the drivers to fix them. And you most certainly don’t need a jig like this .
And get rubber cement not Elmer takes forever to dry . And why does it look that cone is pushed in ?!
And to center the coil, you need to shim it.
You need to create 3 little cuts in the dust cap and put the shims in it.
They drivers are not the problem , it’s you doing it wrong no offense

It’s pure irony, he likes using Elmers glue, to slow set the glue, but needs a jig because his way lets the glue harden too slow. 😂

great idea but goin thru that whole process 36 times for a pair of speakers? how about if ya just use the round ring and leave the clamps off, turn it over so the weight of the speaker puts a little pressure on the glue edge? works for me and saves much time...

You must have Bose 1801's. (Your math isn't great, but your point is well taken.) 🙂

Why in the world remove them? Also I don’t think Elmers will withstand any timeframe. They sell the proper adhesive with the repair kit.

YOU'RE JOKING!! Ive done 30 never needed a guide. 901's are 3.5 inches and center them selves. Just a lite touch. Too easy

yes, I would take the amp in quite a few times, nothin wrong. It would play then shut the channel down intermittently, sometimes the amp just wouldn't play. I didn't know the surrounds were foam and rotted, the older series had cloth surrounds(don't put them on speakers that came with foam surrounds. It makes em sound real thin and tinny, they never wake up no matter how many watts...

I don't think Elmers is a good idea.
